Wonderful overall, though I had to skip over "Loving Guitar Serenade", for...probably obvious reasons. (Sorry Takumi! But it's your fault for forcing us to listen to it twenty gazillion times!)

Yeah it's way better quality. Arumajiki sounds far better. Kitaki Family rules too.

I just noticed. The prologue piano portion is a remix of Doburoku Studio.

Anyone know when we can expect the individual tracks to show up onfinal turnabout?

Gyakuten Saiban 4 - End is awesome. just for being a remix of :odoroki:'s theme, kinda like how GS3 - End wins for being a remix of the trial theme and Maya's theme. And why 1 and 2 aren't as good. 1.5's is good though

Just download winrar and then the rar of the soundtrack. Danbodaxter appears to be dead so don't expect it anytime soon.

I and Misaki complained the other day via Paintchat on how many creepy tracks this soundtrack got :karma: Doburoku studio, Turnabout Heir, Seeing Through ~ Surge, Glance, Recollection~ Forgotten Legend and some others = Friggin' creepy.

Scariest soundtrack so far? Yes. :sawit:

Still, I like the soundtrack, but the remixes of the old PW tracks sounds weird.

Well, yeah. But nothing like Questioning ~ Moderato 2007 played with echo and inversed instruments in slow motion to make an already creepy song creepier.

And the Prologue is nerve-wrecking.

and LOVE LOVE GUILTY Ringtone rocks too damn much.

Um, actually it's neither "Sound of a Landscape Artist" or "Sound of an Escape Artist"...

The actual translation would be more like "Musical Landscape Painter" since

Spoiler:
on her post-card, you can see it says "Sight-Seeing Musique" and the game tells you her gimick is "taking what she sees and painting that visual landscape in sound"

...although... yeah... there's that problem of if she can actually see... :yuusaku:

That was all Varan, my friend! Though...that reminds me of a contradiction in the case.

Spoiler: "4-3"
If Varan used a double in his magic act, how come she was never raised as a possible suspect? She must have been running around back stage at some point. Of course, she couldn't have shot anyone if she was just as involved in the magic trick as Lamiroir, but someone should have seen her at the coliseum.

Post subject:  I love the GS4 OST. [[Spoilers for entire game.]]

As a side note, the OST can be downloaded here.

Okay, so, I'm probably in the minority, but... who else thought that GS4 had the best soundtrack out of all four games?

That's not just because of the quality, mind you. In comparison to the previous games' soundtracks, it's my opinion that the entire game's music's composition was much better than the previous games', and I love this one for it. I think that, overall, this one is overall better with a consistently excellent music, whereas the previous games' music has been spotty in that regard; with a good song here or there and a song that you hate to have to listen to.

As for the individual tracks: personally, I think that the new courtroom music really fits with the atmosphere that I associate with the court itself - more of a GS1 vibe than the other two themes, even though I do really like them. Also, the cross examination normal and allegro songs are just excellent, and the creepy, warped way that 'Seeing Through' works off of it for the Perceive System is just great, and really fits the feel that I got from the system itself. And do I even have to mention Guilty Love?

But! My favorite tracks are, actually, three of the least-mentioned tracks in the game. I love Kristoph's theme, from his jail cell in 4-4 ('Solitary Confinement ~ Darkness Theme'), I love Investigation ~ Core 2007 (and subsequently believe it's superior to all of the others), and I love 'Drew Studio'; which I just thought was totally perfect for that point of the game and the eccentricities that Drew and Vera offered (good luck nail polish, anyone?).

Also, the new Cornered music? So good. It really caught me off guard the first time I heard it, I thought it was so excellent.

Music makes or breaks a game for me, and personally? The music made Apollo Justice for me.

I absolutely loved the soundtrack! it had a very "Megaman" feel to it- and that's a great thing, imho. The Drew Studio theme was so damn creepy and it really gave... the part where it was used where a certain someone was screwed over a really haunting feel. (trying not to use spoilers). The Suspense theme was really good too (not to mention Klavier's theme).

edit: Oh, I also liked the trippy-bracelet theme. It kinda reminded me of Majora's Mask where you turn the Stone Tower Temple upside-down (for anyone who's a Zelda fan too).

Haha, yes. Klavier's theme sounded like it would fit perfectly into one of the psx MegaMan X games, and the Gramaryes' theme reminded me of stuff from The Misadventures of Tron Bonne.

Thanks for the download link, Gozu. The first thing I did was rename (read: translate and clean-up) all the track names so they actually made sense when compared to the English script, then added the unofficial cover art TheRedPriest did for the OST to the tags and finally changed the release year to 2008 because it bugged me too much. Then I made a new ZIP file. n_n

(Yes, yes, I probably have OCD. :P)

Anyway, here are the cleaned-up track names that I'm using and will use in future when discussing the OST:

Spoiler: The List
01 Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney - Prologue
02 Courtroom Lobby ~ New Prelude
03 Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney - Trial
04 Cross-Examination ~ Moderato 2007
05 Trance Logic
06 Apollo Justice ~ Objection 2007 - Time for Justice!
07 Cross-Examination ~ Allegro 2007
08 Announce the Truth 2007
09 Thrilling Theme ~ Suspense 2007
10 Perceive System ~ Surging Glare
11 Pressing Pursuit ~ Cornered 2007
12 Jingle ~ That’s All for Today
13 Trucy's Theme ~ Magical Girl
14 Klavier Gavin ~ Guilty Love
15 Ema Skye ~ Turnabout Sisters 2007 - Scientist Detective
16 Investigation ~ Opening 2007
17 Detention Center ~ Interview Tragicomedy
18 Turnabout Corner ~ Intro
19 Eccentric 2007
20 Kitaki Family
21 Guilty Love (Ringtone Version)
22 Reminiscence ~ Kitaki Under Fire
23 The Guitar's Serenade
24 Troupe Gramarye
25 Reminiscence ~ Props and Tricks Curse Their Fate
26 Lamiroir ~ Landscape Painter by Sound
27 Turnabout Succession ~ Intro
28 Psyche-Lock 2007
29 Drew Studio
30 Kristoph Gavin ~ Solitary Confinement - Theme of Darkness
31 Investigation ~ Core 2007
32 Reminiscence ~ Forgotten Legend From Seven Years Ago
33 We Won the Case! ~ Our Victory
34 Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney - End

I have heard of people greatly disliking AA4's soundtrack, which made me a little apprehensive at first. Once I heard it for myself though, I knew it was superb. Personal favourites include Guilty Love, Cross-Examination ~ Allegro 2007, Thrilling Theme ~ Suspense 2007, Perceive System ~ Surging Glare, Pressing Pursuit ~ Cornered 2007, Eccentric 2007, Kitaki Family, Troupe Gramarye, Psyche-Lock 2007 and Investigation ~ Core 2007. The OST in general though is superb; a pleasant mix of old and new. :)

If there's enough demand for it, I'll do it. I'm half-expecting people to bitch me out about a crappy naming choice on XX track. That and for some reason the new .zip file is 5.5MB larger than the old one despite the fact that I only added one extra 200K file to the archive. *shrug*
