I endured two years of undergraduate classes on how to read body language (most Trial Attorneys do). It's fun to use something that is used in real Trails.

The percieve system was perhaps the coolest part of the game. I just wish that you chould have used it more.

I really screwed myself over though...I got hella pissed cause I didnt know that when you paused mid-percieve, the nervous tic would keep going, so I basically had to listen to the testimony over and over again and examine them quickly during the suspicious parts.

It wasnt used enough, in any case.

I'm surprised it took until Apollo points out Kristoph's nervous 'tic' for someone to say that a nervous habit does not a guilty person make. You'd think someone would object to something like that being used as "evidence" of anything.

:odoroki: : Gotcha! Whenever you say the word "murder", you scratch your nose!

:udgy: : Well, I believe we've reached our verdict.

The perceive system is just to get Witnesses to lose their cool and admit everything, not to be used as evidence.

Perceive system makes me curse less than psyche locks.

... Same?
I loved it! Now someone needs to capture just the background swirling thing for the animation section. (Or would it be location, screenshot?)
I hope it at least gets more use in the next game. And the out of court time got more forensic science! :scientific:
I can't wait for AA:5 to come!

If April May was in the game, i'd LOVE to use the perceive system on her! 8D

[spoiler=And cause this is a MAJOR 4-4 Spoiler]Seeing past Kristoph's glasses for the final Cross Examination was frickin' creepy. Then that scar? I wonder if that'll be explained in another game? It was a very particular injury, especially one to focus on..
At least we know what that devil Vera saw was.

100% Agree.

Spoiler: 4-4
I was waiting for his scar to be explained actually. I'm kind of disappointed they didn't. And yea.. when I realized close up I could see Kristoph's eyes, I was like omg.. now I know why Vera called him the Devil. O_o;;

I found it REALLY disturbing staring into Brushel's eyes though. I wanted to find his habit asap cuz I didn't want to stare at his eyes any longer than I had to xD;;.. I guess I was always sensitive to staring into people's eyes though.. even animated characters. I know I'm an odd one..

Overall I do like the Perceive system. It's pretty cool what kind of habits people can manifest. The only concern I have with this system is that if it gets used too much, they're going to start running out of ideas on how to keep the habits unique.

Capcom guy #1: Ok.. so what habits haven't we thought of yet?
Capcom guy #2: Hmmm... how about licking their eyeballs?
Capcom guy #1: ... Brilliant! *puts into game*

The purple spiral reminds me of Giygas from Earthbound, and it scares me.

It's fairly obvious from where the scar is.

Probably when he hit Smith with the bottle, a piece from it broke into his hand.

Kristoph already had that scar when he gave the nail polish to Vera.

Perceive < Psyche Locks

The perceiving system didn't have much of a basis to it other than his bracelet just reacts and then you kick into that mode. I like the psyche locks a lot more but I suppose they had to get rid of it since none of the Feys are back anymore ...

Spoiler: incident as I resolved Laminor's perceive solution
I technically didn't get it right yet it was correct when I put in the perception. I think the range area they put is too big perhaps? I seriously thought it was something with her lips to start with and despite I had the right portion of her testimony selected for her "twitch" I clearly didn't have it over her throat for her swallowing. SERIOUSLY. I should of got that incorrect yet it registered as correct and to my surprise my suspicion of what her twitch was revealed.... um, incorrectly *_*

Now that would have been a handy piece of information to have.

You should guess the exact sprite a character is gonna have a twitch to score.

Spoiler: 4-4.
Vera tells Phoenix she saw "the devil" briefly when Kristoph gave her the polish. I just assumed she meant that scar. There's a video of that conversation (around the 8:30 mark) here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=jjgE9nxxveM

Also, if the bottle had broken when Kristoph used it, there should have been glass left at the crime scene. Phoenix had only gone upstairs briefly to phone the police, and Orly could have woken up at anytime. Kristoph wouldn't have had time to clean up any glass.

That's exactly what I was saying. She said it was brief, only for a moment, which really confused Phoenix. BUT NOW WE KNOW. HAW HAW.

I prefer the perceive system over the magatama anyday. Not only does it make a lot more sense, but it's a lot cooler to use(to me, anyway).

I believe I said this on the GS5 Ideas thread that if they could be used together, then that would be much better. Magatama on investigations, Percieve System in the Court Room.

I guess I'm in the minority who didn't care much for the Perceive System, then. At least with the Psyche/Psycholocks you have to think about the answers to the questions presented. It's a little annoying going over the same bit of testimony a half dozen times to find a tell, and it doesn't even involve thinking about why something doesn't sound right as much as:

:odoroki: - Hey there, witness. You, uh, got a bit of a nervous tic there. Sure you aren't, you know, lying?

Witness - AHHHHH, you got me! </familyguy>

Couldn't you theoretically get much the same result from just pressing?

Yes, but pointing out a nervous habit and blowing it out of proportion is fun... (To me anyway.)
