Yesss!!! * :gant: :gant-clap: :gant-clap2: * That's awesome! Stopping the mp3 with this : stopmp3(0);, just makes it's stop directly. But now, it becomes more dramatic, fade-style! :redd:

The sprites? That would be great if you could post them, though you said in MSN you didn't have them...

I'm having a problem opening AIGE, here's the message:

AIGE.exe - Unable To Locate Component

This application has failed to start because d3dx9_34.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Google that .dll file and you'll find it for fast, free, and easy download at the first link. Same for all other .dll files. Easiest way to fix .dll problems. Then just plop the file into the same folder as the .exe.

Small News:
- (AIGE) Tweaked the audio fading to use a volume limit.
- (PWLib) Volume system updated to make use of the volume limiting (so audio fading won't ignore the max audio volume set on the Audio Menu).
- (PWLib) Updated Young Payne to support PWLib 1.2 Multi-Char system.

There is a bug on Audiere itself that mp3 + id tags = no play. Just remove the id tags (with winamp for example) and it will play.

You mean prologue, right?

The Prologue, with ID3v1 and ID3v2 Tags removed plays normally (no errors) on AIGE 800a.

Tags? I have no idea what those are in terms of audio speech but I'll check the program out later and when I meet Prelude, I mean the Courtroom Prelude (the music that plays before the trial.).

ID Tags are small tags that mp3 have to store author, full music name and so on. As is a segment on the mp3 file that causes audiere to fail (they should have released an official version with this fix, and the memory leak one too).

I'll test the Trial music them.

The tags are what stores the info inside the track, like the artist and the track name. Just right click onto any track in your Winamp playlist and go to "View file info".

If the file you mean is 03 - Ace Attorney 3 - Trial.mp3 or 02 - Courtroom Lounge ~ Neverending Overture.mp3, with the tags cleaned it plays without issue on aige 800a.

To me the 02 file sounds funny even on Winamp.

Some updates regarding AIGE.

Originally, AIGE was meant to be a simple Visual Novel Engine. That is known by most people. When it was used to develop PWLib with, it was still a Visual Novel Engine.

But as time passed, AIGE started to grow on directions never expected originally. It is NO LONGER limited to be a Visual Novel Engine (as a good example, the Mikumo Extension will demonstrate). Many special features were added or are being worked on since 700a's release.

So for clarification, AIGE is not anymore limited to a Visual Novel Engine. Probably it will be renamed in the future, not sure.

I'm planning on making various reworks on the core and the language after PWLib 1.2.

They use the PWNamefont font or the PWNamefont2 one. Have you got Damion Shard Ace Attorney? If so, check the nameboxes.hlsl file and use that as it's really helpful. Credit to Damion Shard's creator for organizing the coding.

KSA, I was replaying PW1 once again, and I noticed something that I had never noticed: In all Ace Attorney games, after a comma (,), a stop (.) and other non-letter alphanumeric symbols, there is a small, automatical pause. Check any gameplay videos or replay any game, I'm sure you will find it.

Adding this automatic pause to PWLib would make it look more accurate, and would save us from having to add million pauses to make the game look more realistic. It could even be optional (say, "enable/disable auto pause").

Please consider it.

I can fix that easily.

Ill get it to KSA as soon as I can (unless he does it first of course...)

EDIT:

DeMatador, feature added.

Ptapcc, AIGE support object graphic mirroring since the pwlib 1.0 era, so it is already supported.

Here is a pic of a very early version of pwlib 1.0 with the inversions (mirroring). On newer aige versions, there is the X+Y inversion added.

To do them mirroring, you need to use the command swapobjecttexturecoordinates.
Its parameters are:
swapobjecttexturecoordinates("objtype","objname","mirrortype");

For the bg: swapobjecttexturecoordinates("bg","bg","mirrortype");

For the character: swapobjecttexturecoordinates("char","pw_char","mirrortype");

And "mirrortype" must be:
"X" for X mirroring
"Y" for Y mirroring
"NONE" for no mirrroring

Mirroring stay valid until changed. By default all objects use "NONE". The mirroring is valid for animations as well.

---------------------------------------
Some news
- (AIGE) Reworked partially AHLSL for new future features.
- (AIGE) Added wait for certain letters on the messagebox.
- (AIGE) Fixed small bug with the new w (wait) message tag related to lipsync.
- (PWLib) Now the letters . , ! ? will have a small wait once on a message.

Soon a very interesting feature might go live on AIGE. I'm neglecting it in favor of PWLib 1.2 beta (as I'm trying to start the beta soon).

Sorry that I dont wanted to read the nearly 4000 posts, but:
Is there any translation of this work?
Because I'm translating at time "PWLib in a Nutshel" into German (for myself, at first) and after that, I've nothing to do (holidays :phoenix: ) and I've found translating english text into german as a new hobby^^

Happy holidays, PWLib community!

I'm not very active on this board (read: pretty much not at all) but I'm pretty active with PWLib. If you're curious as to who has been making those mysterious Mio sprites in the previews, that's me.
*pride*

Bragging aside, I decided to make a little logo for the contest. >.>

Yey? Ney? Should I change anything?
Case engine rings better in my ears but I'll change it (it's pretty easy to do) if need be.

1.2 isn't out yet unfortunately. What Christie means is that she has been designing Mio Sakamoto's sprites for the beta game. You may have seen screenshots of the Perceive feature somewhere, which the sprites were created by her.

You'll get to know NeoKitai. Here's a small introduction: He doubts official releases dates unless he sees them in nice colors and big numbers; he tries to compete with CR with a forum of his own (with no success, by the way); and he is annoying.

Basically, Kitai, that "stalker" comment was completely out of place, was unnecessary, and it even offended Ptapcc. That kind of posts are called "trolling". Maybe you need a boost in your ego, and need to call another member a "stalker" to feel important? Well, sorry, but I don't think CR will help you with that.

Okay thanks for the explanation DeMatador.

On another note, does anyone know how to change the Phoenix point button to something else? If I remember correctly, DDRKhat posted something a long time ago (I think it was page 66?) about the code to change the buttons on 1.1 Hayase.

If anyone knows how to do this, I'll be really grateful.

One note about PWLib 1.2 Beta:

I'm working with Christie to quickly make the demo game, so I'm aiming at a very soon release date. The game for now will contain 4 cases demonstrating court, investigation, perceive and magatama.
As the game is part of pwlib (will be placed on pwlib/demo), it will be updated with the PWLib Updater when new stuff comes by.

Also the initial beta will be closed, but there will be an open beta before the final 1.2 version release.

I'll be posting pics of the demo cases as it gets closer to completion.

Thanks KSA! And ah! I haven't had a chance to rip the fingerprint images yet. I'll try and do so tomorrow but no guarantees.
