My name is Amy.

My faveorite uncle gave me my first name, I think the story was he wanted to call my older sister Amy (after a song I think) but my mom was already set on her name, still she liked that one too so she and dad promised if they ever had another little girl, they would name her Amy. I came along about two years latter. :edgy:

Everyone makes the "What's up, Down?" joke @_@ It gets annoying. But you can have some fun with it too! My intials also spell out AMD! Geeky! XD

I won't say too much about it, but Kenny is a shortened version of it. Honestly, I think my full first name is a bit of a....girls name. I only know one other guy with the name, but he's old. Due to the fact that Ashley was a guy's name when he was born, I don't feel much better knowing an old guy with the name.

... And according to Wikipedia, Alexa is a feminine name meaning defender of man, with its origins in the Greek language.

My name is Giulia Bianco ^^
I like my name, but Italian and English Wikipedia don't agree about its origin: besides the fact of coming from the Gens Iulia, Julius Caesar's family, it also seems to be something like "full of life". Or "from the woods". Quite a cute name, IMHO.
Bianco just means "white" in Italian, so nothing special. But I like that both Giulia and Bianco are formed by six letters XD

My first name is Lindsay. I don't really like it. It just sounds so bland to me, plus it constantly gets spelled the wrong way. My middle name is Kathryn, which I actually like alot and I wish I could get everyone to call me that. Then I'd have a cute nickname. :shoe:

mmmm, A lot of times I wish my name was Donald instead of Donal. It would save me a lot of mispronunciations, or misspellings on group projects. Some people say they don't like their names because they're so generic, well I wish mine was MORE generic.

I'm usually quite hesitant on the subject, but I guess were all good friends here, right?
I'm only planning on leaving this info here for a short time, where I will later abbrv. it.
Name's kinda long....are you ready?
Spoiler: Hey! My name is-!
My name is Jonathan....Jonathan Spencer Logologo Kalani Faifili.
First Name: Jonathan Spencer
Middle Name: Logologo Kalani
Last Name: Faifili

Yes, I have TWO first names and TWO middle names. 'Says so on the birth certificate.
Can't say too much about the definition behind my name.
Jonathan means, "gift of God", I think, and Logologo was my uncle's name. As for my last name, only two families bear that last name: my father and his brother (not the uncle mentioned above), having changed their last name to their father's first name.

*highfive* Our parents clearly deserve awards for spelling.

I've seen people spell it with double Ls, Y instead of I.... A double S... Y instead of O... Combinations of the various tragic spellings... Poor name... So abused..

It is a cute name... But I find it more suiting to a little girl than an adult... My parents and my siblings call me Ali.. Nobody else does. Even friends who I've known for what seems like forever (because 4th grade was forever ago now that I'm 22) call me Alison. I did have an English teacher in high school who randomly started calling me Ali... He was weird though.

Arrrgh >:G My Dad calls me Al sometimes... It drives me insane. I tend not to respond. Especially when it's "Big Al"... Which, would've been fine, like... 20 years ago... Seeing as I was the oldest child.. And a gigantic baby.. But now it's just like he's calling me a fat lumberjack. Which I am not... a lumberjack at least.

I'm Monica. Not sure if it fits, but it's not awful.

According to wikipedia:
The name "Monica" possibly means "advisor" from the Latin moneo, but it is most likely of unknown North African or Phoenician origin, also possibly originates from Greek.
Possibly (Greek) "solitary" or (Latin) "to advise; nun." Saint Monica, the mother of Saint Augustine, prayed for her son and saved him from self-destruction. As a result, Saint Augustine became one of the greatest saints in history.

Hmm... I don't really know if I'm much of an "advisor", but whatever.

My name's Andrew, which is useful because I'm in a band where we use the first letter of our names as the band's name, kinda like ABBA did. The band is called JARAD, so if I was called, say, Chris (which is my middle name) it would be JARCD, which sounds silly!

My name is Emma... It's rather nice, I think, though it's too common now. My last name, on the other hand, sucks: House.
It's British as far as I know, and not too uncommon, but that hasn't spared me from jokes about a certain medical program... :nick: And in elementary school, I caught a lot of hell for it. (Emma House is in the house! Emma House, big as a house!) And frequent misspellings with "Haus." Oh, and my Canadian physics teacher kept calling me "Ms. Hoose." THAT was funny. :edgy:
My brother has it even worse: His given name is Maxwell. (No, I'm absolutely not joking. My parents just really liked the name.)
