I'm putting together an L cosplay for Halloween (early, I know) and I wondered if anyone had any suggestions as to how I should do the hair? Preferably, I'd use temporary hair dye and backcomb, but I've heard that temporary dye takes ages to fade out. Any ideas?

That's still not how probability works..!
The probability that justis is Kira is 0 or 1. Previously, the probability that he will become Kira might have been 1/3 or 5/7, but right now he either is or isn't, meaning it's either a 0% or 100%.
(Simpler analogy: You toss a coin in the air, then cover it when it lands on your wrist. If you call the coin heads while it's still in the air, you have a 50% chance of calling it correct. If you call the coin heads once it's on your wrist and covered, the probability that you're right is 0% or 100%, since it either actually is heads or isn't; however, you can't know if you called it right until you reveal it.
Simpler explanation: The probability that an event will occur can be anywhere from 0 to 1, but the probability that an event has occurred is 0 or 1.)

This has already been said many times, but
By the way, I think someone was speculating about what nothingness would be like. I've actually thought about this (because the idea has come up in other forms of fiction I've experienced), and I came to the conclusion that it literally wouldn't feel like anything because, quite simply, if you no longer exist, there is no you to feel anything. Therefore, you could say the threat of nonexistence is much more powerful to those still here, and more of a punishment for the survivors than for those on whom it is actually inflicted. That's certainly not to say I wouldn't care if I didn't exist, I'm just saying if it actually happened, I wouldn't be around to care. If I just explained nothing that wasn't obvious to everyone, excuse me.

We were watching the last episode of DN and spongebob was playing in the background and so Light haf just died and it was silent for a second or two and just after he dies Patrick from spongebob starts laughing really hard and you can just imagine theway it sounds light just died then patrick starts laughing...it was funny. you had to be there.

On another note (no pun intended) I recently started to read the manga "Bakuman" which is written and drawn by the guys who also did the Death Note manga. The story is about two guys who start to draw mangas in the hope of becoming wide known mangakas and to get their own anime.
They even made a little reference to Death Note in there:
It's not really anything like their previous work but still enjoyable. Though, one of the protagonists is sitting like L sometimes.

We do this all the time, even if nobody likes to admit it; subjective probabilities are a powerful tool, especially if you do some Bayesian magic.
I bring this up because L's "35.3232% chance that Light is Kira" routine is a pretty good example of why it's silly to calculate subjective probabilities to more than one significant figure, even if it sounds kind of awesome and is good for throwing people off your scent.

Everyone will know what you mean if you say "There is a 35.3232% chance Light is Kira," but I'm just getting picky with synta. Technically, Light either is or isn't Kira, so the probability either is 0 or is 1. If you want to say something like "I am 35.3232% confident that Light is Kira" or "In approximately 353232 realities out of 1000000 Light will be Kira" that's fine, but the actual probability that Light is Kira is 0 or 1. (And depending on your situation, you can't know if it's 0 or 1. But that's why you have confidence intervals and levels and percents and such. And I felt like getting overly picky with syntax only because it's a Death Note thread :P)
