Oh, and I have the same things that silentxfilmstar has as well. Coincidence.

Actually, as I recall, the requirement depends on the test, but I'm pretty sure it's between 130 and 145 as a rule. Still, impressive. :D

Also, the last night of my vacations I dreamt I came back and forgot my Nintendo DS. Warning?

What to say, what to say...

1. I have two cats: Bill and Mary Lou. Mary Lou is sort of shy, but Bill is great because he just falls over on the floor all of the time and drags himself across the carpet. Actually, he isn't even a cat! He is a Bill.
2. I'm a huge science geek, especially for environmental science and microbiology. When I look at living things, I can't help but think about all of the proteins, compounds, genes, etc that make them up. :ema:
3. I can make a clicking sound with my right ankle, and I have no idea why. I've been able to click it for as long as I can remember, so maybe I messed it up early in life.

I don't have anything against religious people. I'm not what you would call a supporter of them, but well, they can think whatever they want. It's their business.
It's just most priests and related proffessions are sometimes such hypocrites. For example, look at the pope. There are people suffering from famine and he goes around with a giant golden cross with diamonds and platinum all over it.
Also, it bothers me tremendously that they insist on converting people to their religions and such.
And if you look at middle ages, christians killed people "in the name of God" if they contradicted the church.
Talk about discrimination.

PS: Thanks InstantMusick for defending me.

I'm also an atheist, but I dislike extremist atheists as much as I dislike extremists from any other religion. I don't agree with becoming an atheist solely because you dislike organized religion; there's a lot more to it than that. To me, it's about learning to live a meaningful and fulfilling life in a secular fashion. (I don't mean to speak for any others, though; those are just my personal feelings.)

To get back on topic:
4. My favorite animals are jellyfish! They're such surreal creatures.
5. I'm attempting to teach myself Japanese. I can comfortably read hiragana and katakana now, but that's about all I can do so far.

I think you misunderstood what I tried to say. "people whose jobs are related to religion" are priests and such. "Religious people" are any common people who simply are part of a religion. Any christians, muslims, etc qualify as "religious people".
And please don't swear because I didn't.

Well, I think that if the top figure is such a hypocrite, that speaks a lot about the religion.
I admit that I cannot prejudice a group by its "majority", you are right about that.
And this is just a difference of opinions. I don't think that disliking certain people is going to cause them to die. I'm not going to do anything about it. I'm not going to join the KKK to kill the priests.
I just think this way, and you think that way.

It's still discrimination. Think of it like this: would you like it if people looked down on you for doing whatever you do, or believing whatever you believe? No, you wouldn't. You're just an asshole.

Who cares about what people think about me? I just pick the people that like me how I am and befriend them. I prefer a few close friends that a lot of friends that don't know me that well.
Case closed. I don't want to debate this any further because it will lead nowhere. If you don't like me anymore because of this, well, it's your business.

Fair enough, I missed that.

But still, I think you're wrong for looking down on everyone who works in religion.

I've never met anyone working in religion who I didn't like, and none of them have ever tried to convert me. It's called having mutual respect for one another.

Well, maybe the cultural differences are what cause this huge difference of opinions. After all, I live in a country where catholisism is the main religion. My parents are very religious, as well. And maybe you (i don't know where you live exactly but maybe) are used to protestant christianism. They are VERY different, I tell you. Catholic priests cannot marry, for example.
Maybe it's just the environment in which I live in that made me dislike this religion. Most schools are religious, and they sort of "force" you to be religious as well... That's why perhaps I have built such a grudge. I can see everything clearly now. I'm sorry for being rude and offensive. I seem to have been traumatized during all these years, seeing the corrupt side of religion in the corrupt country I live.
Again, I apoligize... As a very liked character said in his last minutes of life... "I was the arrogant one..."

I still think that there's more to atheism than just holding a grudge against organized religion, though. To be honest, I didn't truly settle into my own atheism until recently, when I stopped to really think about it. Questioning one's beliefs is an important part of maturing as a person, in my eyes. Whenever I looked at other ways of life, I came back to atheism because it felt "right" to me. I understand how you feel with having religion shoved down your throat, though. I'm not trying to victimize myself, but I'm a homosexual and I've gotten a lot of "You're immoral!" crap over it. You learn to get used to it, really. The USA still has its fair share of discrimination branching from religion, as does just about any country.

I feel that it's important to learn how to live in harmony with people from different religious backgrounds. There will always be disagreements at times, sure, but you learn to accept each other's differences. :pearl:

...Sorry for turning this into such a sappy post. I sound like a Yu-Gi-Oh character or something. XD
