When his shift of monitoring the artists were done, Justis decided to go to the Eagle River area to ensure everything was alright. Of course, he had nothing to worry about, the place was a dead zone...In more ways than one. Even so, he couldn't help but check.
When he arrived, he was assured what he already knew. Nothing worth mentioning was occuring in the area. Then again, who in their right mind would want to come here? The aura it carried contained nothing but death and despair. Dark trees curled over menacingly, as dead as their surroundings, and spike chains were lined across the trees as if to say "Keep out". Tombstones made up the majority of the area, lined up in an organized and yet somewhat disturbing fashion; the tombstones seemed cold and unfeeling. There had been no effort or emotion when burying these deceased souls. All of the tombstones had the same thing written on them: "Here lies the body of resident" and the number that had been given to the corpses. There was a frightening...nothingness in this area. Nothing moved, all was dead. It was obvious why Justis loved this area so much.
He walked past the tombstones, towards the only thing that had a purpose in this area: a simple chair. Justis sat down on it and laid back. He thought there for hours: He recalled the things he had done that day, all the things he had accomplished, and what he planned to do next. After realizing it was time to take care of the next area, Justis stood up and left the Eagle River, keeping it exactly how it was when he arrived: lifeless.
And yet perhaps it would not be like that forever.
