There's at least 3 new fans here, and more old ones are coming back. As for the Trucy question. I'm sure she would be shocked at first, until Phoenix told her the story. Then she would think it was the sweetest thing ever.

I think it would be fun to watch Iris interact with a teenaged Trucy, though. She seemed eager for a new mommy, but I suspect that had less to do with her own desire for a mother and more to do with her not wanting her daddy to be lonely. But that's just my theory. I have no doubt that Trucy would be happy for Phoenix if he was to get back together with Iris. She'd probably put her hands on her hips and say "Finally!", even.
Anyway, I come bearing a few doodles:

Out of all the reasons fans have thought about why after 7 years, Iris is no where to be seen, I think yours is the best. I think I also read a fanfic that included this reason. It makes total sense, though not official. Phoenix would want to do anything to protect his friends, even though avoiding them is pretty hurtful. Who knows what Kristoph will do to Iris? *shudders at the thought*
About Trucy, I agree on the fact that she didn't want Phoenix to be lonely and keep on suggesting for a mommy. I think Iris will definitely be a great mother to Trucy. (Iris is pretty like Trucy's real mother, right? But that's kind of a lame excuse/connection/whatever. lol) Trucy definitely needs a mother figure to help her get through those teenager years. I wonder how Phoenix react to Trucy when she found out she got her first period! XD

Yeah, it's been the same with me! Though, I kind of broken that a bit, by liking ApolloxEma. But other than that, I can't ship anyone else together besides FeeniexIris. *sighs* It makes it hard to find fan-fics that suit my fancy if I only like 2 couples.
Don't you think that Feenris is under-rated? I guess it is to be expected since Iris came to the series rather late (GS3), while Maya and Edgeworth came at the beginning (GS1).

Well, thank you for writing an awesome fic! :D I wanted an excuse to draw some P/I fluff anyway, and hobo!Feenie is my favorite.
Anyway, my vision for older!Iris is for her to wear her hair in one long braid in the back, or maybe draped over her shoulder. I'm thinking about glasses because her eyes are really beautiful, and beautiful eyes are usually also weak (it's the trade-off, I suppose). Really, it's just an excuse to make her cuter. Glasses can make a character look cuter, cooler, older, or nerdier, depending on the character and the glasses. I think that Phoenix would look cool with glasses, but he's probably too poor to afford them (and he'd have to lose the hat. The hat AND the glasses would look too busy). But glasses, stubble, and messy black hair? Mmmmmm.

I also thought to see Phoenix find happiness with Iris after the last case. Too bad that will only happen in our heads and fan-stuff. Reading fanfics is good enough, especially from talented writers like you, Gregory Wright. :D I really loved reading Crime and Punishment, and I was happy to finally read it.
And Mia_Fey really does have inspiring fics. They make me happy and proud to support Feenris. And she always find great pictures from fanbases from what I have seen.

Incidentally, Kween, I love your bespectacled!Iris. It really does give her a good "teacher" look and since the author who introduced me to the concept of Iris as a teacher was a formative influence on me...from my perspective, it'd be only fitting to make future!Iris a teacher. In addition to the glasses, maybe you could add a pen or pencil behind her ear or a notebook under her arm or...something like that. Just saying things as they come to mind. By the way...has anyone heard from Mia_Fey lately? I sent her a PM a few days ago and last I knew, it was still in my Outbox.
