Is weed good or bad?

Well, I believe that the only way that legalizing of drugs (or the lack of it) is actually relevant, is when considering that some drugs lead some people to crime. From a personal point of view, I couldn't care less: if you want to mess up your body by smoking weed or doing cocaine or whatever, suit yourself. My point is: as long as you don't damage others, do whatever you feel like.

Having said that, I rather have my criminals smokin' weed than crazy shit like coke or those chemical drugs (like ephedrine or something), which turns them into actually dangerous people, I think. Prove me wrong if I am, because I'm not 100% certain of this.

So if legalizing weed makes potential criminals legally buy weed, instead of ilegally buying it, and using the chance to buy other stuff that has more chances of turning them into criminals (drugs that are usually offered to them when they approach illegal dealers for free, and then they turn into addicts, and "need" to buy more), then it could be a good idea. Legalizing weed, I mean.

Weed is fun, anyway. It doesn't do any harm if you know how to do it. If you're a jackass and wanna overuse it, then whatever, go fuck yourself. It's your own fault, and you know it.

And this thread's title should be "Weed: Good or GOOOOOOOD? (Happy Birthday Hitler)"

There's still room for an actual discussion here.

Here in Argentina, some 20-something year-olds were recently found smoking weed inside a van. They were judged for illegal possession of marijuana... but the judge actually found that they weren't doing any harm. They were just some guys... having fun. So, they were released. I think they even got to keep their pot.
This particular case has set the entire community on fire. Mothers saying that their little babies are dying due to MJ; teenagers saying "Weed's good, man" and more.

This happened around 4 or 5 months ago, and it has been silent since. But this thread reminded me of it. Since that case, that judge's decision has influenced many others like it in other cases similar to it (peeps having fun, doing no harm). Some potheads were even trying to change the law to allow the "domestic keeping of marijuana plants". Apparently it's moving forward, because I've seen like 2 or 3 of them in random people's gardens.
