The ruckus caused by Guybrush and a few crew members waking up awoke Jack with a jolt. He rolled over, and promptly fell out of his hammock. Wincing a bit, a still a bit groggy, Jack stumbled towards the deck, or at least where he thought the deck was. After a bit of trial and error, he made his way to the deck. "Wussa matter? Is something-" Jack paused to yawn, "wrong?"

Currently seeking adoption. It's so lonely out here...

Dawn yawned and went up on deck. There was a wind, and she pulled her jacket up a bit. "What's the matter? Cried wolf or something?" Dawn yawned out. She glanced over to the lighthouse and raised her eyebrow. "Let me guess, we're here."

Guybrush pointed out to the sea, where LeChuck's ship was. "LeChuck is back! I saw him! He's after the Dejeneur des Rois too! He thinks it's some kind of voodoo artifact, or something! He's more evil than ever, and he's still got a grudge on me!" he blurted out.

Amara rolled over, and hit the floor, as a commotion was heard on deck. Groaning, she jumped up, and walked up to the deck, as she heard Guybrush shout nervously, "LeChuck is back! I saw him! He's after the Dejeneur des Rois too! He thinks it's some kind of voodoo artifact, or something! He's more evil than ever, and he's still got a grudge on me!" She shook her head, saying, "Guybrush, there ain't no ship in sight, and my eyesight's as good as anyone on this ship." But just to make sure, she climbed to the crow's nest and looked around for any ship that might have passed. "No ship in sight!" she hollered to the other crew members on deck, sighing as she groggily climbed back down.

I've been away for far too long.

"Um... LeChuck? Hoosat?" Jack asked, still not entirely awake. "He an old friend of yours or summat?" He rubbed his eyes. He wasn't used to being awoken mid-sleep.

Adele yawned, as she was awoken by Amara as she climbed the crow's nest. "Seriously, you need sleep, Guybrush. Might as well wait till dawn before we drop anchor. It's too early to go on the island yet."

Oassu paused pensive for a moment in his thoughts There was that story about Guybrush defeating some pirate long ago he thought recalling the brief biography that accompanied the arrest warrant the navy was given "LeChuck....I thought you defeated him years ago Cap'n?" he asked somewhat confused.

Guybrush sighed. "I did! I killed him! He was the most fearsome pirate anyone had ever seen. Before me, of course," he interjected. "But I swear I saw him! He was out there, telling me about the treasure, and he..." he trailed off. "Look, I know this isn't the last time we're- I'm gonna bump into LecChuck. Lets's just get to the island and see if we can find someone who knows about this map."

"Yeah, yeah, let's just go. I need some coconut." Dawn yawned as she steered the boat to Sharkbait Island. "Now, Guybrush, you ask around, while I go find some coconuts." She got off the boat and walked into the market. It was already in full swing, no matter how early it was.

Guybrush smiled. "My specialty." After striking a pose, he headed off into the town.

The town of Sharkbait had a few buildings, with a market that Dawn was now in. Along the boardwalk on the dock, he saw a small building with a glass ceiling. Beyond that, he saw a courthouse, and at the end of the dock was a building in the shape of a treasure chest, with a large neon "42" on the front.

Guybrush brushed his jacket off and stepped off of the ship.

((The town is free for anyone to walk around.))

Amara sighed and scratched her head, still a bit irritated from the lack of sleep caused by the commotion about this "LeChuck". Seeing as she had nothing else to do, though, she decided to learn a bit more about the folks on this island. She walked down the plank and onto the Sharkbait dock.

Spotting Dawn proceed to the market, Amara decided to follow to her location first. "Fish! Get yer fresh fish right 'ere!" a man from the marketplace called out. "Fruits here! Bananas, coconuts, mangoes!" another hollered, as Dawn went up to that stall. Amara thought, "This town's quite awake already, even at daybreak. But I suppose it's because the fishermen always come in at dawn and everyone likes to bargain for fresh fish at markets."

Dawn looked at the coconuts and bought all of them. She paid the shopkeeper the price, and hauled the box back to the ship. Adele and Tanja was standing on the dock, reading books, and they looked up.
"You... are really that serious?" Tanja said when she looked at the box. She took one. "But then, they do taste good."
Dawn nodded and poked a hole in one of the fruit. She drank from it. "Well... it's good, and a welcome change from beer and water."

While the others conducted their business around the Sharkbait Isles, Jack decided to catch up n the rest he'd missed due to the LeChuck incident. He found a nice shady spot near the beach, and laid out, thinking about the events of the last day. Slowly, he began to drift off as he smiled, thinking about how his luck might have changed for the better. Might. It was still too early to tell.

After looking around the marketplace a bit more, Amara decided to go to the tavern, or at least she hoped there was one. "The best place to find a bit o' information's with a fierce grip and a bottle o' rum," she thought, heading down the dock.

She then saw a building shaped like a treasure chest, a flashing neon "42" sign at its entrance. She covered one eye with her bandanna and went inside. Looking around, she recalled her days at the old tavern at Piranha Island, with all kinds of people coming to the island, and saw that this tavern was similar in many ways. She went up to the bar, and asked, "A bottle o' rum, on the double."

Amara thanked the bartender, and replied, "It's actually a bit o' a long story. There's a pirate named Guybrush Threepwood, who's looking for this treasure called the Dejeneur de Rois, or sumthin' o' the sort. He got a Chinese ship run by three girls, an' I decided to join the adventure. We had a bit o' trouble with those English Navy folks, an' we barely escaped." Taking a sip of the rum, she continued. "Then, in the middle o' the night, that Guybrush claimed he saw the ghost of LeChuck, whoever that bloke is. So we saw this island 'ere and decided to restock."

Judge Grindstump gasped. "Guybrush Threepwood? Here, on the Sharkbait Isles? Why I know him! I saw him not 3 months ago!" He sighed wistfully. "Yes, that boy spread a deadly pox, captured LeChuck, and ruined my last pub, but he's a good la- wait a minute. Did you just say LeChuck is back?!"

The entire pub stopped abruptly, every pirate in the room completey frozen in terror. "LeChuck? Again?" one asked, while another said, "Can't that guy just give up?" "Who's LeChu-" said another before being interrupted by a slap to the face.

Amara was quite surprised by the number of people who knew of this LeChuck, but decided to tell them anyway what had happened on the ship that night. "I didn't actually see Lechuck," she said, "Nor any'un else on the ship, save Threepwood. But if that LeChuck is back, whoever the fellow is, he's after the Dejeneur as well."

Judge Grindstump had a shocked expression. "You don't know LeChuck? The most fearsome pirate to ever sail the seven major seas, he is!" The pirate from before chimed, "I don't know him eithe-" before, again, getting smacked upside the head.

The Judge frowned. "This is terrible news! I wonder what Guybrush plans to do about this..." He looked up at the girl. "Do you know?"

Dawn set a coconut on Jack's stomach and walked back to the dock to catch up on her reading and writing. She took over the crow's nest and started writing her daily log.

The men in the bar shook their heads, shrugging. One man in the back spoke up. "Oui, madame. I know of zis treasure."

The Frenchman stood tall among the other pirates. "Zis Dejeneur des Rois, I know of it. 'Tis a very special heirloom, guarded by the most treacherous dangers in all ze world!" He stepped forth, revealing himself.

He was tall, with a black overcoat and a large hat with a feather tucked into it. His boots were shining brown, and he had a brooch on his left shoulder with a magnificent sword on his hip.

"It has taken me many years to find ze location of the treasure, but I have the trail to the island on which it resides." He pulled the paper out of his pocket, but put it back immediately. "However, I demand to see your captain before I will give you ze map."

Amara looked around to see if anyone knew of the treasures location. Disappointed that no one had the knowledge they were seeking, she then stood up, placing the mug on the bar. Then, a man stood up at the back, in a black coat and hat. "Oui, madame. I know of this treasure, he spoke in a French accent. Amara turned her gaze to him, and listened as he explained, revealing the map in his possesion. "However, I demand to see your captain before giving this map," he finished.

Amara nodded. "Of course," she replied. "I'll fetch Captain Threepwood in a minute." She then briskly stepped out of the bar, heading back to the ship. Seeing Guybrush and Oassu already going down the plank, she then rushed to alert him of the news.

"Captain," she said to him, "I've found information...about the location of the Dejeneur. There's a man at the tavern, says he found a map to the place. He wants to see you first, though."

Oassu blinked somewhat surprised So this treasure does exist after all eh? he thought to himself smiling "Well Cap'n maybe we should go have some words with this man" he said cracking his knuckles "See if we can negotiate with him....though it seems odd he'd just give us the map so easily" Oassu said uncertainly.
