[Don't worry Angel; Karmi--it feels weird addressing yourself in third person--is definitely younger than Zeth here. XDD I won't be age specific but she looks like she's only slightly older than Trucy. She's acts and thinks like a kid, but she's actually much older than she looks.]

Karmi poured herself another glass of juice, and sat by Pearl, on the counter. She wasn't really allowed there but she might as well make room for the other people filling up the kitchen. Trucy showed a lot of familiarity with a young man as she poured him milk and gave him cookies. She struggled to remember where she has seen him before. The fox motif was enough to jog her memory.

"Ah, Kitaki!" she recalled. "Wocky Kitaki, right? I'm not sure if you know me, but I go to your family's bakery on special occasions. I'm a big fan of your muffins!" she grinned as she extended her arm. "I'm Karmi."

The happiness Pearl had been feeling deflated a little as a strange boy who looked to be a few years older than her and was dressed in clothes she'd never seen the like of before entered the room and began talking to Trucy.

She had never been good with meeting strangers but following Karmi's lead managed to whisper a greeting.

"I-I'm Pearl.... Nice to meet you...."

Slipping back into the bathroom as Ema zoomed out of it again, Klavier took his time in getting ready, grinning at the state she was in. When he had finally got his appearance paparazzi-ready, he sauntered out of the bathroom at a leisurely pace, hands in the waistband of his chained pants.

Seeing that she was on the phone, Klavier ruffled her hair as he walked past, snatching his keys from by the door and looking at the gym bag with amusement. "Ready to go, then?" he said, laughing and leaning against the door.

"Pretty please fall into a pool of hydrochloric acid." Ema retorted. Zeth laughed from the other side of the phone, pleased that his jest wasn't missed. Ema was so fun to tease, "I can see what field tests I can do, scientifically speaking. But, I'd have to set up a small lab kinda thing to do tests somewhere else."

"We're just going to do a preliminary examination for this visit," Zeth grinned, putting on more of a game face, "There will be guards around the place and general public. Bring along a nice bag with anything that is discrete and is useful, but I need you to keep your eyes open for anything that needs further testing after we talk to our client. Hopefully, since he's a guard he'll know a few things we can look for, but in the end, if we get caught without decisive evidence right off the bat then you'll be back working full time again with the fop... you understand me?" Adopting a concerned expression, Zeth glanced at the phone, "Is there something you can use that could show up if a painting is a paint over? Bring a print lifter too. Maybe a small bottle of luminol and a uv light. Those always come in handy. I'm not sure what else you have... Oh," Pausing Zeth glance forward at the girls in front of him with a slight smile, "and wear something nice. Something that other girls wear when going on a date, OK? It's our best cover story for wandering around in the gallery without people second guessing out intentions."

Wear something nice? Ema retched, both at Klavier and Zeth. Something...nice? "Fop," she started, frowning at nothing in particulat. "Apparently I have to wear something nice." Did he happen to have anything around here? Knowing Klavier, probably. She'd dump the gym bag with her necessary equipment for headquarters testing wherever Zeth was, but judging by the background noises it was Phoenixs' place. Throwing her phone on the bed, frustrated, Ema put the stupid thing on speaker, gritting her teeth as she undressed. Something nice. Pft, she always looked scientifically ready to pass inspection! "I'm bringing my regular purse, whether you like it or not. I have luminol spray and a gel lifter on hand, and necessary ALS. DON'T tell me what forensic equipment I need.." She snapped, annoyed even by her own long-winded statement. "Fop, I need something nice to wear. Go get something. And hey, you were a rich kid. What do you know about fake paintings?"

A paintover? Huh, intriguing. "The variable depends on when the painting was created. I can easily run samples through a chromatograph and an SEM." Mmm, chromatography. Her eyes practically sparkled at the notion, feeling her mood lift. "Any field tests would probably be pretty inconclusive. I'll do preliminaary ones and set myself back up at Mr. Wrights. And I am not going on a date with YOU."

Deciphering which parts of Ema's speech were intended for him was slightly challenging, but Klavier got the general gist of it, his eyebrows raising as he heard her last sentence. "Ja, we had paintings around the manor but I didn't know much about them. And I should hope you're not going on a date with Herr Zeth," he said, his mouth twitching up in a teasing smile. "Unless there's something I should know about?"

In regards to her request for something...nice to wear, Klavier wondered which way to go about it. He could quickly go out to buy her something, or he could dig around in his closet for something that a previous...date had left over. He'd probably be scolded either way, so he opted for the easier alternative, moving to his walk in closet and moving to where some female clothes lay folded. "...Define 'nice'," he said, peering at the clothing.

When Karmi offered her hand to him, Wocky shook it and said, "Uh, thanks. People don't come by that often, so it's kinda nice to hear stuff like that."

He then ate some of the cookies and said, "I wish I could make cookies, though..."

Wocky looked over at Pearl and blushed a little.

"O-Oh, hey. Name's Wocky Kitaki..."

He noticed Pearl was nervous and said, "Hey, I ain't gonna hurt ya or nothin'. I'm nice guy, see?"

He then smiled with his eyes closed, making himself look even more foxlike.

"She kinda cute... Maybe... Nah, she wouldn't like somebody like me."

"..I had the feeling you'd have something laying around. Slut." Ema couldn't resist the temptation to say it, crossing her arms. "No lingere. I have heels, but something simmerous or at least, close to it." She really, desperatly wanted to snap at him, not even bothering to wonder why in the word Klavier would have female clothes lying around.

"Apparently, he thinks I am." Ema didn't bother to cover her reciever now, knowing full well that she'd be close to illiterate at playing along with whatever 'date' Zeth had planned. She felt a bit calmer now, thankfully, though it was probably the science she had on her mind. "You're coming though."

Klavier winced momentarily at the insult. "Ouch, fräulein. I don't sleep around that much. And I don't think Herr Zeth wants me there," he called over to the phone. Grinning as he spotted some dark red material, Klavier pulled out a hanger to reveal a red, one shoulder dress.

Ah, he vaguely remembered who had left this here. Someone from a club, maybe? Showing the dress to Ema, he gestured at it. "Simmerous enough for you, Ema?"

Wocky gave Pearl a huge smile which she couldn't help but return and looked altogether so friendly that she felt her nervousness recede a little.

Maybe he is nice after all....

"Oh, it isn't your fault, it's.... just that I'm not really used to meeting new people. I was raised in a very small village and I only handle clients over the phone- Mr. Zeth is the one who talks to them in person." Pearl said, determined to overcome her shyness. There was something about Wocky's smile that made her wish she was wearing ordinary clothes rather than her acolyte's robes- though they were really the only mode of clothing she'd ever known.

Actually, the dress was sort of...nice, and Ema cringed at the thought. Besides, this would be..the first time Klavier saw her in something nice, and it belonged to some other woman. Ew. Snatching it from him and pulling it on, she surveyed herself in the full length mirror (above the bed, as she took to notice. How vain could he be?), determining that the thing really didn't fit her taste. Simmerous, sure, but it would have to do. "..." It needed a labcoat over it, she decided, the white fabric falling over her shoulders.

The fops' comment disturbed her, however harmless it was supposed to be. Despite her stand-offish approach to...them, it felt sort of wrong to go without him. If she wasn't being annoyed by his glimmerosity, she'd end up being worried about his stupid feelings, something she hadn't done in about ten years.

Picking her phone up, Ema glowered at the thing before turning speaker off. "Klavier's coming. He knows more about date etiquette as an independent variable, and I'm less likely to accidentally spray luminol in his face as soon as we get there."

Wocky then looked down at his own clothes and said, "Well, my clothes don't exactly follow the norm, either."

"Wow, this girl's even cuter than Alita! Score!"

He then looked at her again and said, "So, uh... My family has a bakery. You could come by and get somethin'... If you want to, that is..."

He then looked down at his feet.

Karmi didn't know much about crushes but she knew where Wocky was trying to go with this. She was mainly concerned about Pearl, though, since she didn't know many people. She needed to overcome her shyness, so she needed someone extroverted to help her come out of her shell. Wocky seems to be it. Besides, he's a pretty good guy, and Pearl can rub off her good influence on him to turn him into more of a full-fledged reformed gangster. It seems to be a good combination, so she decided to help him out a bit.

"That's right, Pearl! They have excellent muffins! Plus, their banana cakes and carrot cakes are the best! I heard Wocky baked some of them himself," she added with a wink.

"No, WAIT!" Zeth yelped, "I don't want to..." Hearing the engaged sound on the phone, Zeth narrowed his eyes, gripping his cell phone as he had to rewrite his plans. What on EARTH was that about?! Couldn't the woman TAKE a joke? Now what am I going to do? That completely BLEW his cover as a couple. Now why would two men and one female go to a gallery together? To make it worse, it was KLAVIER joining them. He couldn't allow it. A state prosecutor getting involved? He knew it'd be a bad idea employing Ema.

"Snackoos," Zeth redialed Ema's number, massaging his temples as he was now souly focused on that phone call. Waiting for Ema to pick up her cell phone, Zeth contemplated how he was going to get out of Klavier seeing what they were up to. He hoped Ema would play it smart and realize that dodgy business + lawyer... not so good.

Ringtone sounding once more, Ema grudgingly picked up, bringing the receiver to her ear. No doubt, she was going to get some form of tongue lashing for something, but as far as Ema saw it, her science, her call on how the investigation went down. If he was going to criticize her outfit or whatever, it'd have to wait.

"I think you've forgotten what your job is, Skye," Zeth stated sternly, "Do you REALLY think it is a good idea to drag your boyfriend along to a covert assignment where you're posing as another man's girlfriend in a situation where two men is just going to look a little out of place, and to make it worse... that man is a LAWYER?" Pausing for a moment, Zeth's voice softened, "Look, Ema, I'm only teasing you about the girlfriend thing, ok? I'm not going to do anything untoward to you. Just a hand on the waist or something to make it look like we're here together so us having private chats about the art isn't so unusual. I need this scenario so that we can case this place effectively."

A bakery? It sounded good to Pearl- they had nothing of the sort in Kurain and Wocky seemed like a really nice guy. What harm could there be in going?

She supposed she was being a little forward but now she'd overcome her initial shyness, Pearl was looking forward to going out for a little while. After all, Karmi always told her that it would be good for her to get out more...

Klavier was sure to stay out of Ema's striking range as she spat venom into the phone. He had heard some things about the sort of relationship they had but, if he wasn't mistaken, Ema seemed to treat Zeth with even more contempt than HIM. And that was something. Able to vaguely hear a stern tone on the other end of the line, he smiled sheepishly, moving to his side table to put all of his jewelry on. "Fräulein, if he doesn't want me to go, it's probably for the best. As painful as it will be going somewhere without me," he finished, finally slipping his necklace over his head with a grin. To be honest, he knew that Zeth's methods weren't all ENTIRELY legal, which was probably his reasoning.

He was a bit nervous since he hadn't been with a girl like this in a long time, and he hoped that this girl wasn't going to trick him like his 'Fallen Angel' did.

"Pft," Ema scoffed, crossing her arms while somehow managing not to drop her phone. Yet, anyways. Zeth's little tirade was mostly ignored by her holding the phone far, far away from her ear, and besides, she didn't really care what he had to say anyways. She didn't mind ditching Klavier so much, but there was something nagging at her now that they practically lived together. Not only that, but keeping secrets from him? It wasn't like Ema had a moral obligation to keep Klavier on a leash and tell him all her life's secrets, but with recent events, she figured it'd be best to include a variable of truth and honesty.

Hanging up on Zeth instead of fuming at him, she frowned, tucking her phone into her labcoat pocket. "I can go somewhere without you, a lot of places, in fact, fop. It's just..nothing. Nevermind. Where would you be in the meantime, though?"

Klavier's face broke into another of his trademark smiles and he shrugged, walking over to Ema. "Oh, I don't know. It's not like I could work on my solo album or anything." He grinned at his own sarcasm, when really, he did want to go with her. It would be nice, investigating something with his fräulein. But ultimately, it was up to Herr Zeth, so it was only courtesy for him to abide to his wishes. Maybe he could pay Forehead and Fräulein Trucy a visit anyway, he mused.

"Solo album?" She pursed her lips, a hand reaching over to her lump of clothing and pulling out her glasses, fixing them atop her head. So he really wasn't done being glimmerous after all, huh? "Huh. I guess I should wish you good luck with your...noise." Suddenly thankful she had science to do and wasn't being dragged along to hear him croon and strum some hunk of wood, Ema shifted from foot to foot, still intent on burning the stupid dress she apparently HAD to wear that belonged to some slut before her. Ew. Ugh. Ick. Blech. Today, apparently, wasn't going to be a good day. Frowning as she realized she probably had to call back Zeth, Ema dialed his number from her 'answered calls' list, hitting each button with a somehow contained fury. "At least I don't have to worry about you messing up my evidence."

"Me? Mess up your evidence?" Klavier put a hand to his chest in mock hurt, taking a step backwards as she redialed Zeth's number. "Never, fräulein. When have I ever?" he teased, ruffling her hair as he walked past to make his way to the kitchen. "Cereal?" he called over his shoulder, pouring himself some. It was probably wise to give their chat privacy. Of course, if Zeth didn't want him to come, the conversation should be confidential too.

Pearl blushed deeply as Wocky took hold of her hand and remembering her secretarial duties, approached Zeth who appeared to have gotten off the phone, pulling Wocky along with her.

"Uh, Mr. Zeth, is it okay if I meet you and Miss Ema down at the gallery? Wocky said he'd show me his family's bakery!" she asked, tipping her head to one side as she awaited his answer.

She saw that Wocky seemed a little nervous and wondered if maybe he had had a bad experience with a girl that had made him wary around them....

"Again!" Zeth face palmed, sliding his hand off his face as if he wanted to tear his skin off, "What is up with that woman? Argh!" Contemplating sacking Ema for the 100th time since employing her, Zeth took a deep breath in, and let it out slowly trying to calm himself down.

Maybe that was her way of saying yes. Her rude and obnoxious way of doing it. Damn it, is there a lady like bone in her body? All I want if for her to work with me and she decides her first case needs a a tag along. I should just...

"Uh, Mr. Zeth, is it okay if I meet you and Miss Ema down at the gallery? Wocky said he'd show me his family's bakery!" Glancing up to Pearls, he had forgotten that he was in a room full of people as he tried to make sense of Ema. Giving her a smile, Zeth nodded.

"Sure," Zeth replied, turning to Wocky, "And say hi to your pops for m..."

"WARNING. DANGER WILL ROBINSON. WARNING. DANGER WILL ROBINSON. WARNING. DANGER WILL..." Raising his brows again, Ema was confusing him more and more. He didn't expect a call back. Perhaps he needed to find ear plugs? Answering the phone, Zeth sighed. He hoped that ever gig wasn't going to be like this.

"What's the problem now, Skye?" Zeth asked trying to hide his dark under tone at being given the run around.

This was slowly becoming kind of fun, Ema mused, even as she spit into the phone again as Zeth picked up.
"FIRSTLY. I have a name, and its' not my last one. 'Miss Skye' and 'Skye' and all that are my sister, not me." Unless it was Detective Skye, and Klavier had that annoying habit of calling her 'Fraulein Skye'...dammit. There really was no way to win.

Lazily twirling a bit of hair around a finger, the aggravated detective sighed, waving the glimmerous ones' request off. "It'll disrupt my scientific concentration if I eat too early." Especially all the sugary crap Klavier kept around. He really was a kid, after all. Ema was surprised she hadn't spotted a swingset outside. But really, if he ruffled her hair one more time, Ema was going to bite it off. Besides, scientifically thinking, it took the same amount of force to bite a baby carrot that it did to remove a finger with ones teeth. Simmerously acceptable.

"What time should I show up---you haven't even told me WHERE you are yet." Again, she assumed Mr. Wrights house judging by background noise, which thankfully wasn't too far, still in walking distance.

"Hrmph," Zeth responded, "You're difficult to please. Fine, first name basis it is then." Rolling his eyes to eventually adopt a smirk, Zeth leaned on the table again. What is up with that girl? She demands that I act simmerous and call her formally, and now she wants to go on first name basis. Is she ready to act like a lady finally? Or is it all a trap? Looks like I'll have to find out.

"I'm at Wright's house," Zeth continued, "I'm going to be researching up a little more about this painting we have been informed is a forgery so that I may have a few other things I can look for when I talk to the client. I'm not sure how long that'll take. You can either go have breakfast with your boyfriend, or you can come help me do research here, and have some... burnt toast and sachet orange juice I guess." Pausing to do a laugh, Zeth realised how terrible of an offer it was, "Or perhaps I could join you? Pearls has gone off with Kitaki's kid. It'll be good to bounce ideas off someone."

((Also- donno if you guys noticed, but they're going to a PUBLIC gallery, not a private one. Zeth is being pushy here, but there's nothing stopping ANYONE from joining in.))

Despite his polite 'attempts' to not overhear the conversation, Klavier could hear a vague buzzing of Zeth's tone of voice on the other side of the phone. Smiling to himself as he spooned cereal into his mouth, Klavier rested his elbows on the table. He'd probably end up going with Ema. He wanted to, and there wasn't exactly much that Zeth could do to stop him.

Besides, if he wanted to cover up with the whole 'date' thing, Klavier would be much more convincing with his fräulein. Maybe Zeth had another assistant he could use. Like a double date? Finishing his cereal quickly, Klavier put his bowl carelessly to the side before swinging back around the doorframe of his room.

"Fräulein? If you want me to come, which you do..." He paused, winking at her cheekily. "Suggest a double date sort of format. That way, you can still settle for Herr Zeth's need for a cover story, ja?"

((Karmi is 18, right? That's still jail bait in some countries XD Lets do the math... 1/2 age +7 for guys, so for it to NOT be creepy, they have to be 24 years old at least. Ema is 25 so that works. Everyone else that is female is less than 20. So... who is Zeth 'dating' again? XD Unless Tap rocks Yew into the story... BTW- for females it's the opposite :) Double the age minus 7, so Ema would be ok dating any guy younger than 43))

Zeth's face went limp as the words 'double date' were mentioned. He... didn't just suggest what he THOUGHT he just suggested, right? A double date? That... that was a terrible plan. Who the HECK goes on a double date to an art gallery? None of them look alike so it can't be a family outing, and Zeth couldn't pass himself off as a father with Ema. Maybe with Pearls, but definitely not with Ema. It was still a terrible idea cause even IF him and Pearls when as father and daughter, he needed to be directly talking to Ema, or he may as well go alone.

"Your alibi is weak," Zeth replied, getting off the table, "I have noone to take with me except..." Freezing with a slightly horrified look on his face, Zeth considered the male population... and Wright was only a year younger than him. That would work as an excuse but it'd draw WAY too much unwanted attention. Especially if he dressed up as a bum like he normally did. Turning to the phone, Zeth narrowed his eyes, "Come up with a better excuse or I'm going alone." Slamming his phone shut to hang up the call, Zeth scowled, storming into the living room to grab his laptop. Looks like he was going to do this one alone. So much for having a partner in crime...

Come on over? So Zeth was going to come here? Klavier gave Ema a quizzical expression at the fact that she had basically just invited someone over to his apartment without asking. Well, she did sort of half live here, but... Shaking his head, he sighed before walking over to her and placing a head on her shoulder to try to hear the conversation. Unfortunately, there was a dial tone. It seemed Zeth hadn't liked his idea.

Laughing, Klavier took a step backwards, his thumbs slipping into the waistband of his pants. "So, Herr Zeth didn't particularly like my idea?" He grinned, pushing his bangs from his eyes.

((Angel- As I said before, I'm not sure how to insert everyone in as this RP was primarily for just the Private Eye side of the firm. If you want to start something yourself, then feel free to drag Phoenix into a hair brained idea of some sorts. I'd love to keep everyone occupied, but I'm kind of GMing's two threads and in a few RPs atm. It'd be nice for someone else to take imitative :( I'll support what ever you do thoguh))

((I think the best idea is to go with Zeth's original plan, and have Klavier follow them as an art enthusiast. Unless someone can come up with an idea?

Glaring at her phone before resisting the urge to throw it again, Ema stuffed it into her pocket. "You. Obnoxious motorcycle." She guessed, anyways, pointing at Klavier. Walking wise, it wouldn't be too bad, but she wouldn't want to lug all of her kits with her. Frowning yet again, she crossed into the kitchen, heels click-clacking against the tile. Once more, she decided to re-dial, brow furrowed.

Looking at his phone as he pushed 'enter' to start googling about the Angel Star painting, Zeth let the phone continue to ring, wondering how long it'd take before Ema just gave up and married that 'fop' that she couldn't seem to stand to be parted from now. Her talon tight grip on him was beginning to get on his nerves.

"Are you going to answer that?" Phoenix asked walking up to the annoying sound on the couch, and sitting on it, pointing to the cell phone, "It may be important."

"It's just Ema- she's just going to yell at me for hanging up on her," Zeth replied, looking back to his laptop as a bunch of search results popped up. Sure enough, the Angel Starr had a twin painting. That still didn't rule out the possibility of one being a forgery, "She's made it very clear that she values her 'fop' over having secondary employment. I don't think there's any more to discuss with her to be frank."

"WARNING. DANGER WILL ROBINSON. WARNING. DAN..." Phoenix narrowed his eyes at Zeth, grabbing the phone. Zeth made no objection, and barely even noted that Phoenix had snatched his phone. Flipping up the front to answer, Phoenix brought the phone to his ear.

"What's the problem, Ema?" Phoenix asked, slinging his arm and leg casually on the couch, hoping to get some sense out of her.

"You IDIO--Oh, Mr. Wright!" Ema seemed rather plesantly surprised by this revelation, though she assumed Zeth was in too much of a huff to pick up himself. It was his own fault for being...Zeth. Though to be honest, she was ready to dissolve both him and Klavier in some sort of acidic component. Relationships were stupid, she decided, tapping a foot against the floor. She could, and sort of wanted to just walk out but..it seemed complex. Blech, blech blech blech! Ordinarily she'd have just blown Klavier off and wouldn't have been this..soft. The sexual variable probably had something to do with it (theirs AND the bit that..hadn't been with him), though her contempt was certainly still there. "I'm going to have Glimmer Boy drop me off soon. If there's science to be done anyways."
