"...That was surprisingly easy, but..." Lida chewed her bottom lip. This meant the gang knew where she was. She'd have to move again if she wanted any hope of survival. Probably to the next state. She'd need to change her appearance and name again, sell her house again...she sighed, heavily walking back into the house, hoping to see Satoshi.

Bob laid in a heap on the ground as Satoshi ran away. After a few seconds of just lying there, he dragged himself out the back door.

Finally, Satoshi found Lida. "Lida, are you alright!? There was this guy after me... and I think he had someone after you! Are you ok? I....I hurt the bad man..." Satoshi hugged Lida tightly and cried into her. "I actually hurt someone... It was self defense, but... I shouldn't have! Violence is wrong! My sister... and that man back then... taught me that..." Satoshi cried even harder, as he remembered it. "It... was so similar. I thought the man there was going t-to do something ho-*sob-hor-horrrible to you! I th-thought he was gonna..."

"I'm fine," Lida said, smiling reassuringly as Satoshi hugged her hard and cried. "It's okay. They're gone now. You did what you had to do..." She patted Satoshi's back. "There, there...Satosh? Would you mind...Loosening your hug slightly? I was kinda punched in the stomach...It's a little tender there..." She winched slightly. "The worst thing they could have done to me was...They said they were going to put you in a coma..." She then looked even more worried, but didn't say anything else as she forced another smile.

"Lida... listen to me!" cried Satoshi as he let go. He wasn't happy that she didn't let him finish. "I thought they'd... r-r-rape you..." Satoshi bursted into more tears, until eventually his head was dug into Lida's shoulder. "It was like... like that ti-time..." He couldn't help but sob. He loved her, and couldn't let what almost happened then happen now.

Lida felt a chill run down her spine. Rape. That word...She fought back a memory and smiled yet again.
"...No. They were definitely going to kill me first," she said, patting Satoshi as he sobbed into her shoulder. "There, there. Like what time?" She had a bad feeling about asking that and quickly tried to correct herself. "Er...That is, if you want to tell me. It's perfectly acceptable if you don't."

He remembered the threat that she made about how she would block him forever and hate him more than she already did. It... was worrying. "And, I can't break the promise... I l-love her, even if she hates me."

Lida frowned deeply as Satoshi shivered. What had his sister told him she'd do to make him do such a thing? She then smiled softly.
"It's okay. You don't have to tell me. I think I've pretty much deduced it anyway," she said. "And I'm sure she doesn't hate you. You and her are family." She went over and sat on the couch. "You know...There are other things to worry about now, besides what might have happened. No point in dwelling on it."

He wiped his eyes on his arm and grinned. "Wait... maybe those fake movers brought the stuff after all... Should I-I check?" He walked over to the door, without waiting for an answer, and looked in the boxes in front of the door. Apart from the empty one that had the gun in it, they all had his stuff. Including his phone. He noticed he had a message from Sabrina, but switched his phone off, shoved it in his pocket, and brought a couple of the boxes in. "Lida... you know what we should do? We should go on another date... but undercover, obviously."

"The only thing I can logically assume happened with what information you gave me is that your sister was raped and she doesn't want you to talk about it," Lida stated simply. "Haha. We should go on another date...I'll change my appearance for the occasion." She smiled serenely. "Looks like they did bring your stuff...Hm..." She casually stood up and walked outside, grabbing a couple of boxes and bringing them in.

"I wish there was some way to assuage your worry...The best I can do is relocate us somewhere...But I'm certain that, if we set foot outside..." She pursed her lips, then clapped her hands together. "Satoshi, I picked this house for a reason! If you follow me, we can bring your boxes and everything!" She started walking away. "Unless you'd rather us take our chances staying here." She turned to Satoshi and smiled sweetly.

"Ack, I can't believe it took so long." Aliucon complained as he ran down the street, not even turning to look at the local stores in front of which he always stood to look at the ne merchandize. The time had slipped his mind again, thanks to the unwavering hypnotic aura that programming casted on him every time he started. "Stupid stupid stupid... boy, it only takes one thing to take down a lot of effort put in following scheduled times. And I worked so hard on that!" He continued on muttering as he ran. But soon enough, he stopped abruptly: he had arrived at the crossing he wanted, and a café was set up in that corner, right next to him. When he was about to open the wooden door, he checked how he looked. Didn't want to appear in front of the customers drenched in sweat. Fortunately, he was as good as his usual clothes made him look like... which was not much, in his opinion, but would have to do. He opened the door.

The interior was rather small and not richly decorated, but it had a soothing effect on Aliucon's spirit, and he felt like being there at least once a week so much that he had even scheduled a time for it. The place was well-illuminated, the keeper was nice and the coffee was great. It was often empty too, good to recover and relax after tiring days of university work and the like. Though today was "crowded" (his definition of crowded being two or more tables occupied), there was still plenty of space, so he just sat down to rest and feel the breeze blowing from a nearby window. He wasn't going to order anything just yet: he just stood there, smiling slightly as he felt the wind.

I don't normally drink coffee, Lida thought on her way to college as she approached the coffee shop. But I. Need. Coffee. NOW! Seeming outwardly calm, she strutted into the coffee shop, past the tables and to the keeper.
"Er...Hello. I need coffee with lots and lots of sugar and cream, please," she said to the keeper, reaching into her purse to extract her money.

Hmm, I thought about it and, though we are already in a relationship, I wouldn't mind RPing a time before that, since I guess it adds for the "dating" value, which is the point of the thread... that is, unless there is something against it...))

Aliucon got out of his temporary trance of tranquility when the door opened again. The café seemed to be in a roll: it was not every day that customers just popped up like that. He turned his head to spy the newcomer, and accompained her with his eyes as she walked. "I don't think it's a regular. But what a cutie she is..." Was his first thought. He also heard her order. "Oh... I think she's more in need of a candy shop rather than a coffee one. So much sugar ruins it... for me, at least..." He muttered to himself, still looking at her for some moments.

"M-Maybe I should order something too..." Aliucon kept on muttering, now blushing slightly. This seemed to be the best excuse to go to the counter and near the girl. So he stood up, but for a little time, he was hesitant about approaching. "C-C'mon..." He tried to cheer himself up. Going up to girls blatantly was something he thought he'd never be able to do in his life. But he did manage to walk to the counter and stand side-to-side with her.

"...T-The usual, please." He said to the keeper, realizing he wasn't able to voice how he wanted the coffee: even if it was just to say it was iced coffee, which he always ordered. "Great, now... w-what can I say?" He thought, his mind rushing to think of a line he could use to start and engage in a conversation with the girl beside him.

Aliucon almost sighed in relief when she was the one to address him. And she even spoke enough to make him a bit more confortable in her present. He smiled in response. "I don't think that's odd, coke has a similar effect on me. Strangest thing, since it did just the opposite few years ago. But back then, I hadn't drink coffee..." He commented, scratching his head once. What he said didn't sound good... he would have to do better than that. Maybe throw a joke in the future, that would relax himself, and hopefully entertain the girl. "So, you need the extra energy? Will it be a tiring day for you?" He asked, trying to sound natural enough and prolong the conversation. When she looked at the keeper, he did too, but just for a quick check. His eyes directed back to her soon after.

"Coke has always made me more tired...And tends to upset my stomach a little unless I drink it rarely," Lida said. Then, she answered his question, "Ugh...Yes. Very tiring. Lots of exams today, and I stayed up all night last night studying for them, as if that would help." She rubbed her eyes and yawned. "I had better pass all these exams, with all the work I put into memorizing the information presented in class..."

Aliucon felt the urge to say something against that all-nighter studying method, but held himself: she already seemed to know it wasn't the best thing to do. "I can relate. Been having lots of exams recently." He responded, all too conscious that he wouldn't be able to relate completely. His attitude towards school was much more laid back. "Well, you seem to be a dedicated student, and working this hard must drain a lot of energy! If you don't often drink coffee, I'm impressed that you can keep it up."

As Aliucon said that, their orders arrived. He opened the bottom right pocket of his pants to get his wallet, while the keeper handed the coffees over. "Thank you", he directed to the keeper, but right after that, he turned again to Lida. "Hey, if it's your first time here, then allow me to pay that coffee for you." He spoke, barely not hitting himself after the sentence, since it sounded more formal than he would like it to have sounded, now that he went over it mentally. But nonetheless, he continued. "You seem to be needing it, and I'd be heartless not to do something for a student comrade just before she faces the mightiest foes of everyone's school life. Not to mention that this place IS really good, and I'd encourage any newcomer to try it..." He completed. The ending, however, was not quite true: he wouldn't have done that with any first-time client. That girl was a special case. "Well, I like school enough that I usually have the drive to keep up, but, ah, today is going to be busy enough that my determination alone won't keep me awake..." she said with a small smile. "Er...Thank you, Sir," she added as the keeper brought their coffee over.
"'The mightiest foes of everyone's school life'?" Lida quoted, cracking up. "That's one way to put it, I guess. Ahahaha...Er...I can pay for my own drink, but, since you're offering, I guess I might as well take you up on it. More money I could use to buy people things." She chuckled. "So, what is your name, Sir? I think I should know who decided to buy me coffee today so I can repay him somehow." She smiled brightly, awaiting a response.

"Hum, I see." Aliucon said, smiling at her dedication to school. "Well, I hope this coffee is enough to get you through today." He added, right after getting the required money for both coffees and paying up to the keeper. Aliucon was glad that she laughed at what he said about the exams, and laughed along, partly in relief that it had gone through well. "Well, it's been true, as far as my academics years have carried me. But we have to deal with it." He stopped there to take a sip of his iced coffee. He was glad she had taken up his offer. "Buy people things, you say? You enjoy doing that too?" He smiled, seeing that he could perfectly relate with that point. "My name?" He repeated her question, blushing a little. "I'm Aliucon... Aliucon Farfnair. It's weird, I know. And what is your name, lady? H-Hum...it might not seem like it, but this place is rarely full like that. Usually there's no one around, but I like this place too much to move to another, even if it feels lonely. Perhaps you could... visit again sometime? I-If you have the time... or feel like it..." He said, looking away in embarassment. He was glad he managed to say that, it almost didn't make it to out of his mouth.

"I hope so, too. If coffee makes me drowsy, then I'm doomed," Lida said with a smile. "And, yes, I do enjoy buying people things. There's not a whole lot that I really want, not that money can buy, anyway, so...I just enjoy getting others what they want." She chuckled. "Aliucon. I see. I'm Lida. Lida Rose. At least, that's what I go by." She smiled sweetly. "Of course I wouldn't mind coming back here sometime. I may not get coffee next time, though. I'm more of a hot chocolate fan." She then picked up her coffee and chugged it, licking her lips when she was done. "Ah, I needed that."

Before, Aliucon was smiling because it triggered with what Lida said, but now it felt just natural. It seemed she was way above egotism, greed and all the other bad traits. A dashing and wise girl, but she didn't seem to be that much older than him. Either she was very well educated and matured quite early, or she had been through a lot in her life. But in such a short encounter, he wouldn't be able to tell which. But at the thought that she could have suffered in the past, his smile faultered. He acknoledged how it could provoke an earlier maturity, but it just wasn't fair. He drifted for some seconds on those thoughts, but still looking at her. He almost missed her name. "A-Ah, Lida Rose? That's quite a pretty name." He said hastily. It really was pretty, or maybe he just liked roses. Which he kinda did, actually. "Ah, you'll come around? Great! Then I'll have something to really look forward to." He smiled again, sheepishly. "Was this coffee enough, by the way? You think you need anything else to be fully energized before you go into the fray? Maybe some sort of evil professor with an over-the-top will to blast all his students with an F at the minimal error in their tests is waiting for you? In which case I'd recommend another coffee. My treat. Oh, maybe a sugar rush could help! No, not the one by Julie Burchill, the only thing that would do is make you sleep." He said, feeling he had, in his exhilaration, said a bit too much. He just hoped Lida would be OK with that.

"Haha, thank you, Aliucon," Lida replied. "I picked this name for myself, you know. And it just kinda stuck." She shrugged and smiled. "Oh, more coffee? No, thanks. If I drink too much, then my stomach will turn sour...But, I wouldn't mind a cookie." She smiled playfully. "None of my college professors can be that picky without facing my wrath!" She giggled. "Well, not a wrath so much as a well-reasoned argument that makes them feel incredibly guilty and see the err of their ways...which actually doesn't happen so often. But I doubt I'll outright fail...I'll get a 'D' at the very least." Lida laughed merrily. "Really, you don't have to get me anything else. I can buy it myself." She smiled brilliantly. "Is there anything I can get you?"

"You picked this name, huh?" He repeated her words, thinking about what they could mean. It wasn't the name she was given, since she chose it herself. Could that mean what he thought it meant? Maybe he was just reading too much into it. A life drowned in games of the strategic variety made him susceptable to this kind of thinking process. So he hurried on to his next statement. "Ah, it would be convenient to have such a strong argument prowess to do that. But oh well. I'm sure you'll pass with flying colors, you strike me as a above-average student." Aliucon said, honestly. Sure, first thought he had was that 'it was those glasses', but something with her speech and politeness had definitely to do with it. "Aw, so I can't buy you anything else. You sure, Lida?" He scratched his head. He was not a person to insist with someone he had just met. Who knows, she could get upset. He didn't know why, but she could. That alone made him hesitate. "H-Hum, I'm fine with the coffee, thank you. I usually only drink this, anyway." He said, taking another sip. "One cup has been enough to get my creativity running."

"Yup, yup," Lida answered cheerfully. "I guess I could argue, if I really wanted to, but I'm more of a, 'let's avoid arguments and be friends' sort of person." She chuckled. "I write much better than I speak, anyway." She then blushed slightly, upon being called an above-average student. "W-well...I strive to do my best." She giggled. "You're so insistent on buying me stuff, aren't you? If you really want to get me anything, I suppose I could go for a cookie." She giggled, looking down at her watch. "Hmmm...I may have time for that." She then looked back up at Aliucon. "Oh, and, uh...Suit yourself." She shrugged. "If one cup of coffee's enough, then it's enough." She smiled sweetly.
