These are definitely real - from Pokemon Sunday.
If they're still going by the traditional lineup, then the bottom-left one should be grass (looks like a weird Celebi/Charmander hybrid), the top one fire (Cyndaquil + weird tail and ears) and the bottom-right one water (it's... a snowman? o_0)

Okay then... The Bottom left looks like it could be a bird of some sort, maybe with a scarf...? The top one could be a pig :3
Bottom right one, i have no idea. Let's hope its not a snowman though, that would just be better as an ice/physic type.

It could be fire on the tail xD I could see the bottom-left being fire/psychic, middle being water/electric, and right being grass/ice. (Not that I think they will be, but that they could be...)

To me it kind of looks like a mash-up of Mew (its head) and Buisel (The rest of it, from the neck down). Also, my friend suggested that the top one looks like a pig, except its weird ear things. And what if the bottom-left was looking towards the left, not the right, so it's facing the opposite way from Celebi (If that makes sense) But then I don't see how that's much different to Charmander.

Bottom left... I don't really know as of and neither does my brother. Seems to be fairly original just from it's inky blackness...

The end of the tail on the left one looks very much like a leaf. It may be modelled after a wood pecker and be combined with an element of nature. The arms look a tad long as well, so the length of the arms may make up for the short legs (which still allows it to take the pecking position).

Why do I say the top is water? It looks a lot like a pig. It's known that pigs like to frolic in mud, which has the element of water mixed with dirt. Oh yeah, and the part on the hard reminds me of fins. Thus, a pig is a reasonable deduction.
And fire for the right? The head and neck remind me of a light bulb.

I'm hoping for a really good plot this time around, but this is Pokemon, so.
I love the main characters, especially the female one.
The 3D graphics are epic.
I really want to see the starter evolutions. I hope we get to explore Hoenn.

And the fire one really disappointed me. I mean, I knew it was gonna be a pig, but they could make it a bit less... freaky. Grass-type kinda reminds me of Kirlia.
I'm anticipating a really awesome Grass-type evo, though.
I'm loving the male main character's design, but the girl's hair is... just too crazy for me to like =D
She looked cool ingame, though, so...

That said, no way will I pick the fire starter. I don't like pigs, they're creepy.
I guess the sea otter/Mime Jr hybrid is the best one, though the grass... thing isn't too bad. I like its expression.

I like that the trainers are older. Maybe, just maybe, the story will be a bit better :3 I like the front of the girl trainer, but I think her hair is a bit too crazy in the back xD Maybe if she had a regular ponytail...

Hey, I don't think that's fair. I actually really like these designs. The girl might just replace Leaf as my favorite female playable character.
And the boy is pretty cute. This has really gotten me excited for black and white. Anyone have a time machine lying around?
I heard that a recently disbarred defense attorney has somehow acquired such a device. My suggestion: rob him.

For this gen, depending what the final evolutions look like, I'm leaning towards the grass lizard thing. I'm..really not fond of the pig, although my brother reckons it's cute.
The change in trainer ages indicates to me that they might be improving the plot, but they might not be. We'll have to wait and see..
I really love the girl's hair - it reminds me slightly of Kay. The visor thing is cool too.
