Bahahahahaha. Yes. My brother and I played in the same order. 3-2-1. WE WENT BACKWARDS. Of course, now we're at an impasse, because he wants to get Investigations, but I want to get Justice.

I started and finished AA, started JFA until 2-3, started T&T and finished it, returned to JFA to finish 2-4 and going on to finish AJ.

Surprisingly though, I was already watching 2-4 on YouTube so it never took me as a surprise when I saw the cheerful Adrian in T&T.

Well, I BEAT the games in order. First I beat Ace Attorney. Then I started playing JFA. In case 4 of JFA, I started Case 1 in T&T.
Then I decided to finish off JFA. After that, I did basically the same thing with T&T. While playing T&T, I started Case 1 with Apollo Justice. But I've beaten all of the Ace Attorney games in order :eh?:

Yes, I did. I bought a used copy of Ace Attorney that turned out to have a Justice for All cartridge instead.

Other than that, though, all in order.

I played 2, then 1, then 4, then 3 and then 5.

A friend only had jfa and I was impressed of this game that I bought it as well.
Actually I could've choosed AA, the store had both AA and JFA, but I choosed JFA, because I wanted to talk about this game with my friend.

I guess, because I played jfa first I think it's better than the other parts.

My gameplay history has been one very convoluted ride through the series.

I started with Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, but when I got stuck somewhere in Rise from the Ashes, I shifted to Justice For All for a short bit, and I kept going back and forth until I finally finished PW:AA. By then, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth had been released, and being the rabid Edgey fangirl I am, I lunged for it, putting JFA, as well as AJ and T&T, on hold.

I think by then I already finished 3-1 and possibly up to 4-3 and the first part of 2-4 if I'm not mistaken.

So in the end, I beat them in this order: PW-AAI-AJ-JFA-T&T.

...such a strange order this is. So many references to previous games sailed right over my head.

Ok here's one of the most different orders:

I played AAI first, then JFA, then AA, then T&T

PS: Apollo Justice is not there because I still cannot find a copy...

PPS: I was also happy I played T&T last because it required the most knowledge of the previous games. To me it felt like a grand finale (with Apollo Justice :odoroki: to look forward to next)

I played it: 3,2,1,5,4
Or at least will. Because AJ is outta my price range and AAI is being shipped to my house as I type.
Edit: I am actually... Forgot waht I was saying. Meh, I'll think of it later
Edit 2: I remembered. I personally feel that JFA was just a giant punch in the nuts for Phoenix

I played the series in order, and I can't imagine doing it any other way. I actually was introduced to Ace Attorney through the WiiWare versions. I was so tempted to buy AJ and AAI while waiting for the cheaper versions of the Phoenix Wright trilogy to come out!

This sounds embarrassing, but I actually played through the 2nd game, thinking it was the first.

But when I did more research, I found out about the first game, and played through that. And everything made MUCH MORE sense.

Then Trials and Tribulations, then AJ. Have yet to play AAI :toaster:

I couldn't imagine not playing them in order... It seems I was one of the few who did! I was extremely close to playing AJ first, because I thought the case looked the coolest when I saw it at the rental store... I took the game up to the counter, and the guy freaks out because apparently he's an AA fan, too XD. He's like "Have you played the other three, 'cause this is the fourth." So he gave me the first one, then I went back a month later for Justice for All. A month after that, I played T&T. Then finally I played AJ. Then in February, of course, I played AAI. :D

I like to think I was rather lucky to play them in the correct order.

I played them in order. How confusing would it be to not play them in order? I wouldn't be able to even if I wanted to. I actually got the game once it came out, so it wouldn't even have been possible to play them out of order....

Actually, I went to the store with intentions of buying Trauma Center, but it was sold out and I wanted to buy a game, so I bought Phoenix Wright : Ace Attorney. Best. Choice. EVER.

Well, unless I can find a copy of AJ, I'm going to play them out of order. Well, order of release anyway. If we're talking cronological timeline order, then I'm playing them all in order.

I finished the first game and am currently on case 4 of the second.

My (expected) order: 1, 2, 3, AAI, 4

(that is, if AAI doesn't tempt me before I finish T&T :edgy:)

Actually I only became a fan of ace attorney this year, and I played :edgeworth: investigations first, then halfway through the game I realised that there were other ace attorney games and I played 1,2,3,4 in order from then.

I played AJ first. I wasn't aware of the PW games until after I played AJ. I have no idea how, but then I played 1 -3 after AJ. I actually liked it better like that, I was surprised that Phoenix was so successful after starting with AJ.

I played them in order. I did some research on the series before playing and heard that it would be wise to do so. :phoenix:

The reason why I put off playing the games so long was because I couldn't get ahold of the first game, and I refuse to play story-driven games out of order because I feel it would take away from the experience.

Admittedly, I had to resort to ROMs when DS-emulator technology had finally advanced enough to play the games properly. I love all the games so much though that I'm buying them as soon as I can. Not that I'm quite sure if the profits will reach Capcom at this point since I know I'll need to buy them online (probably second-hand), but at the very least I know I can buy Investigations new!

I technically played the series in chronological order.

Started with Ace Attorney, went on to Justice for All, and then Trials and Tribulations. I played Ace Attorney Investigations next, and I just managed to get my hands on Apollo Justice.

I started with the first game, so at least I did know what was going on. Then I found T&T game, so I played that, and then it was a while before I found JFA. I then played AJ, and then AAI.

It didn't really matter too much, since they tend to explain things that they reference, but at first I was like, "Who is this kid?" ( :pearl: ) and of course didn't know anything about Adrian.

I suppose if you wanted to play ace attorney in timeline order you would do:

3-4
3-1
AA
JFA
3-2,3, & 5
the flashback part of AJ
then the remainder of AJ
...
...You know what that would be too damn tedious XD
