I'm so hyped for this. I SO want Louis to return, as a side-kick or referenced, but something!

Anyone think the person is Bradley? From the translation?

From what I read so far, he'll probably be referenced. Then again, anything's possible....:D

Anyways, I've been doing some ameteur translation:
The woman Kyle's talking to, Margaret, says: "ああ、13年前に戻れたらすべてやり直すのに・・"

If I can trust my translating skills, it would roughly translate to:"Oh, it's a shame I can't go back 13 years and fix everything....."

Margaret makes me thing of a 'slim' version of Rosa XD (She has the same kind of 'annoyed look' on her face :p)
It's really nice to see the very same character designer at each Cing's work game. I love their work SO much =D

Mila will pretty definitely be in it. She was travelling with Kyle, right?

It depends on which ending they choose. Kyle traveling with Mila is one of the better endings (IMO) and I hope they go with that one, but there are endings where she stays at the Dusk.

I love the art style once again.
The apartment hallways look almost exactly like Hotel Dusk. Come on now, I really hope we get more variety than that.

I just hope they don't make a Mila 2.0, like in Ace Attorney.

Did anyone notice the music in the trailer was a toned-down remix of On The Rocks? It sounds as awesome as the old soundtrack.

I 'think' she's saying she doesn't want a Mila clone, like Ema was to Maya in GS1-5... But that doesn't make sense, as Mila's still Mila and not being replaced by an another traumatized child.

How do you know? We aren't even sure if Mila's in HD2 yet - like Pandonetho said, they could make the ending where Mila stays at the Dusk canon. In which case there's every possibility she could be replaced by another traumatized little girl. :mila:

I don't think that'll happen, though. HD's characters are all so brilliant and well-rounded, that's bound to continue.

There's also the possiblity there won't be any 'traumatised' girl at all. Personally, I'd rather see Mila back in this episode than to see her being replaced by another (why necessarily 'traumatised?) female character :p
But since Another Code: R had its own 'D' (cf: Matt, even though they're as two completely different characters by the end of the game), so maybe this sequel will also have its Mila... dunno really. :lana:

We don't know (yet).
A guess would be that it may take about the same amount of time it took them to release Another Code: R in Europe. The game could then be released somewhere in May/June, if we're lucky.

To drag this back on-topic, anyone have ideas for new puzzles? There was a bit in the trailer when you were poking around Pinkie Rabbit's head to get a coin out... o_0

Presumably the book Last Window is the one based on Kyle Hyde for inspiration, right? So I guess it makes sense that what you do in the game affects how the story goes...

And it's set in some apartments, so there will be a lot more doors and a lot more knocking. Fun.

So will we go back to Hotel Dusk or not?

Afraid of spoiling myself so I'm not going to search for it myself. A yes/no answer would be greatly appreciated :will:

Apparently not, it's set in Cape West Apartments. The layout looks pretty much the same though i.e. narrow corridors with loads of rooms and "Staff only" doors and such.

I don't know where I've been the last few months, but I just found out about this today. I am so excited! Kyle looks awesome, though I have to say I liked his old scruffy look better. Hotel Dusk 215 was one of my most favorite DS games. This news totally made my day. :will: I remember that a few years ago when I finished the first game I found Cing's website, and sent them an email asking for a sequel. And what do you know? A sequel! I really hope this will be available in the US this year, though I will probably be super broke b/c I already have a lot of great games I need to buy this year. *cough*FF13*cough*

And I hope Mila is in this game. I loved the ending when he took Mila with him. It was so sweet. Their lives were totally entertwined. I mean, she was wearing Bradley's bracelet, Bradley was Kyle's partner, and Bradley killed her father. So they cannot leave Mila out of this game. :larry:

SAME HERE!

Except I'm a little disappointed cuz I live in America, and wikipedia says that the date for coming here was cancelled :larry: That may change, but I'm not positive... Oh well, I'll have to convince my mother to export it or something (...how expensive is that, btw?)

Anyway, SO HYPED FOR THIS!!! :edgy:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt this way. I'm more used to his new look than I was when I first saw it, but I still miss the flared lapels of that Red Crown jacket. Seeing him with a proper coat is a little off-putting...

Please forgive the double post, but we have an update! Last Window will be out in Europe on September 17, which is not too far away!

EDIT: Well, looks like I was a little late with that one...

Even if North America had gotten a localization, the boxart probably would have been substantially different. Not that Hotel Dusk's was bad. I loved it! But it was still very different from the original, so it's nice to see that this didn't stray too much.

I was thinking the same thing. HD's Japanese and USA/EU boxarts are quite different so I was wondering how they'd go about LWs. Thankfully, they didn't change it too much apart from making it look like it was a different time of day.
