I get pride, but you'll notice that most people from the case making community are team players: you'll never see me, Cardiovore, papermario13689, Tap or Bad Player bashing cases that are actually quite good. Is it in Cardiovore's interest to call Substitution "a triumph"? I'm playing Scapegoat right now, and I'll be damned if it's not a triumph too. As for your game, it is excellent, so why would I say the contrary?
They're also ready to help each others out: Cardiovore helped me with crucially important graphics, papermario13689 advertises other games than his on the fangames topic, I help Tap with Justice's Memoirs, found a plothole in papermario13689's synopsis I could've left the way it was, and told you about the many terrible grammar and spelling mistakes in your game I could've left as they were without a word, which would've ruined the whole playing experience. The games are not mutually exclusive, it's perfectly possible (and I think it's the case for most people who follow this forum) to like Turnabout Substitution, Turnabout Scapegoat, Trials after Justice and Justice's Memoirs, for instance, at the same time. If you want your game to get more attention, please do it in a more constructive manner - I'm sure it'll work because, as I already said, it deserves it =)

In any case, here is the updated version of Turnabout Substitution!

It should normally fix every problem that's been specifically mentioned in this topic since the release.
Also, the updated version features new and improved backgrounds, pieces of evidence, and other graphics (for instance, the phone now shows up on screen during the phone conversations instead of just a black screen).
hmm.. I should take a look then.. hehe..
but.. it takes me forever to download the file..better on Megaupload.. (of course.. i had some problem too when uploading file on megaupload..)

It's all good now mate ^^; i must have downloaded an older version of the game or it somehow got corrrupt since after redownloading it (following the link in one of ya most resent posts) its running fine now. Heck it even shows apollo's bedroom at the begiing which i didn't think was suposed to be there. Hopefull it also explains why on my first playthrough i hade to track back since the thing got stuck in a loop -.-; seriously i miss one option to go to the prcinct and it lock me in a loop ^^; all better now though which is good

However, right now, one simple way to get rid of your problem it would be to add an
I used the Gyakutenwiki download link, which led me to the mediafire download
I used the PyWright download system to get it as well though (should I have just used the file I downloaded somehow?) and I've been playing that.
I downloaded the game about 7 hours ago, so it's possible you fixed the problem during that time. Anyway, I'll try to see if your advice helps and will edit this post with the results.
EDIT: Well, I tried adding the "addev gum" without the quotation marks on various scenes, saving the textfiles, closing PyWright and reloading, but I guess I'm putting it in the wrong places? Any more help?

Then I remembered "Oh wait, I'm playing a fan game, never mind."
That may have had something to do with the fact that I'm half-asleep, but oh well.
Seriously good game so far. It's certainly filling the drought for Ace Attorney 5/Ace Attorney Investigations 2. Kudos to everyone who worked on the project!

There was some game breaking bugs (mainly the disappearing "present" bug) and autosave had to kill it even more (was playing with the first full version with 0.974). I love the twists and the difficulty, hope to see more from you and the others
