Lol never mind, your Brisbane was awesome. Just needed to lower the pitch somewhat and it was perfect.
And nice sig :P

EDIT: And the next update (with added Brisbane and Vulper voices) is coming soon, folks.

So, I made some notes while playing Turnabout Scapegoat, but after Bad Player, most of them became redundant, so here's what's left of my review:

Spoiler:
I was sort of sceptical at first about the whole "Grossberg getting murdered" thing at first. It seemed like a bad Idea to take out one of the most important guys in Ace Atorney history(whith him being Mia's mentor and all). But while I was playing it, I quickly forgot about all that because I was to buisy holding my jaw up.
This is, without a doubt, the best fangame I have ever played. The new characters are great, with briliant characterisation and graphics that actualy look like they belong in an AA game. The story is amazing. Peroid. It has the thrill of any great previous AA cases, without feeling like it's trying to hard. And the music is... well it's not terible, and it does fit the characters without feeling out of place.

Of course, there are things I found that ruined the experience somewhat; here's a list of the things I found while playing:

Very Important Note: The music doesn't loop.

    0. Why is Snow calling Gumshoe Robert(or whatever)? His first name is Dick!

0.5. Maya is the Kurain Master now!

    1. Grossberg's corpse is awfully slim.

    2. The point of a prossecuters opening statment is to tell announce what he's going to do, not to explain the crime.
That's what they call detectives to the stand for!

    3.

    4.

    5. Titus: Well I WAS halfway across when i HEAR...
Past tense or present tense, what's it gonna be?

    6.

(Side note: could anyone fix Redd White's sprites? The most of his sprites didn't need to show his lower-half, since that part used to be covered up by the witness stand, but now they're just anoying.)

    7. Maya dissapears after you talked to her in the office "after sundown".

    8.

    9.

    10. Presenting the knife at the part where Marshal talks about the fingerprints call up a mistake for pointing out the wrong part of the playing card.
(And it's posible that this happens with every mistake you make during Marshall's testimony)

    11. After Krump's "Murder", the big button fails at times.

    12.

    13. Scanning the erea of Vergas bridge calls up a "Nothing here", no matter what you do.

    14. Snow's testimony about Krump going into the secret room to hide should be revised after explaining the flaw in that logic.
(actualy, most testimonies become a mess after finding one of a group of flaws.)

    15.

Another thing that struck me as odd came to me some time later: why would White help Vulper get out of prison? Since Vulper was no longer a prosecutor, he didn't have to be afraid of the dirt White had on him, and therefor would be of no more use to White.

Still, all these complains aside, I still hold this game up as the best fancase I've ever encountered(and i've also played CaT and Turnabout Substitution).
An Ace Atorney-story surpassing Capcom.

Serve the Story - that's one of my rules.

He calls him Richard. Dick is the shortened version of Richard. Just one of Snow's annoying habits.

I answered these ones in a previous post.

Past tense or present tense, what's it gonna be?

He switches from past to present mid-sentence. It's kinda hard to explain why.

Quote:

Guess I could've... I'll add that to the to-do list.

Quote:
7. Maya dissapears after you talked to her in the office "after sundown".

Little error in the script involving backgrounds.

Quote:
10. Presenting the knife at the part where Marshal talks about the fingerprints call up a mistake for pointing out the wrong part of the playing card.

Hmm news to me. I'll look into it.

Quote:
After Krump's "Murder", the big button fails at times.

Damn I thought I fixed the last of those button fails...

Quote:
Scanning the erea of Vergas bridge calls up a "Nothing here", no matter what you do.

Because there's nothing there to look at in day-time Verglas Bridge. Call me lazy but I never got round to doing those small details >_<

Quote:

Hmm makes sense.

Forever acquaintances, I guess. :\

I wouldn't quite say it surpasses Capcom's standards, but thank you for the tremendous compliment! :redd:

Well for one she still introduces herself as a student. Not that she shouldn't be with Phoenix anymore, because she's still way to irrisponsible to be leading Kurain, but it could at least be mentioned(maybe sometime later on?)

Jsut finished playing Turnabout Scapegoat now and BLOODY HELL its amazing (and no that ain't me quoting Snows manerisums :will: im a Britt as well which in my opinnion makes him even better in my opinon) and i know they arn't by anymeans the best part or the game (the story has that spot taken hands down) but i've practecly fell in love with Pheonix'es court themes (objection and cornered) since there just awsome.

Nice touce with who Brisbanes mentor is and i hope (though i doub't) Jake returns since he's just bleedin' brilliant. And the best getting better part is that there are 3 more cases to come so im exstatic since if there anywere as fantastic as Turnabout Scapegoat is then i can't wait to play them :edgy:

BTW did you by any chance base Titus on Brian Blessed :eh?:

A fellow Englishman I see :garyuu:
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Jake returning is doubtful however, as he was only on hand to keep Snow in line (but noticed how they never actually encountered each other?). Gumshoe may be back as he was only gone in Scapegoat, but Snow will still be lead detective.
Gonna be starting Case 2 if college work isn't so daunting, so stay tuned. :garyuu:
And no, I based Krump on Dr Orpheus from Venture Bros. But not a bad guess, as I can actually imagine Krump booming in Blessed's voice.

Or why don't you just make him the Prosecutor instead of Brisbane? :karma:

Anyway, good luck. ^_^

Maybe mentioned, but not returning. Maybe the fourth case will involve him though. Remember that idea you gave me about his questioning?

Spoiler: Turnabout SUBSTITUTION spoilers
I have an idea for a one-off AJ case involving Vulper (just a crazy idea I had to pitch to Ping'. Why Ping', you ask? See if you can figure it out).

Oh, yes, I remember. Hopefully you bring him back. He's too awesome to just disappear like that.

You don't have the rubber scraps? That's weird, you should. Try this in the meantime:

* Open scene44titustestimony2.script
* Just below "label press titus2A", type "addev rubber" (without quotations). Save and close.
* Run the game again and press Krump's first statement. This will add the scraps to your Court Record.

I am currently brainstorming for case 2, The Haunted Turnabout. Yes folks, progress has begun. :garyuu:

Synopsis:
Phoenix is staying at an old, supposedly haunted hotel on a getaway break from the courtroom... when murder occurs in the night. The defendant denies the murder, but claims to have witnessed the ghost of the hotel commit the crime. Of course no one believes her... But is she telling the truth?
Meanwhile, Robert Snow is having trouble with his investigations of the murder when a strange rival detective keeps showing up. Who is the mysterious vigilante detective Terry Greisen?

I'm stuck with Krump's testimony.

I already obtained a testimony saying, ''While being pursued, I hid myself in a small

cave in the gorge. I never set foot in my house!''

I tried presenting almost all of the evidence and nothing matches.

Cardy, for your next update on Turnabout Scapegoat, may I suggest you convert all the music to .ogg instead of leaving them as .mp3? The music folder itself takes up a whopping 88.2 MB and you could probably bring it down by half by converting to .ogg. :)

The latest version already uses .ogg. It doesn't cut the folder down by half. Ogg is slightly better quality for compression than mp3, but doesn't compress down that much better (especially going from mp3 to ogg you can lose a lot of quality if you try to compress too much).

Cardy, as you already know my feelings on this game, I'm not going to reate a review for the case, partly because if I actually did it, it would probably end up being longer than BP's, and two, because I have several essays to hand in, and I don't want to have to add to my massive pile.

EDIT: I may however offer my services towards coding, as my computing class teacher asks that by the end of next year, we learn a programming language, and show it in action. So yeah, if I can, and don't hve many essays, I maybe will put my services towards being a part-time coder, which would also lighten up your load for the next case. I must stress this is a maybe, as this is the year of my exams, and will have to do a lot of studying if I want to get 1's and A's.

Spoiler: Rubber
Do you already know why the problem with the rubber pieces exists? I never had problems with that. After all, examining them and adding them to the Court Records triggers the appearance of Krump, right?

I have played the first case and I've got to admit, it was quite a case, indeed!
Great job with character designs and the BGM!
Vex is such an amazing character. :butzthumbs:
Spoiler:
I wouldn't say that he was super smart, though.. Oh well, at least he DOES look like a red devil when he's angry, haha

Boy I am excited! Can't wait to see the rest of this game!

Played it and liked it a lot. Some points though:
Spoiler:
In the final trial, after you finish it, it loops back to the case instead of the title screen.
Also, you have to prove Vex's motive. Why not show the card instead of the old case file? 5 years earlier, the enigmium was also in the shape of a card. This kinda confused me for a bit.

How do, people?
Just come back from a week in Barmouth so, sorry for the long reply.
Thanks for all the comments, people. I'll try to answer them all the best I can:

Tap -- I'll let saluk do all that (if he doesn't mind), as I have no software that lets me do .ogg conversions.

Looby -- He is, yes :P And thanks! Though I'm only in the basic brainstorming stage right now... It'll be months before a demo is made, if college work isn't so daunting.

Saluk -- (See my reply to Tap's comment on .oggs)

Manson -- Don't worry about it! Although I'm flattered by lengthy reviews, they're not necessary all the time :)

Pixlking --
Spoiler:
I always assumed they were added to the court record when you examine them, and remain there for the duration of the case...? I'll look into it.

Mitsunyan -- Glad you liked it! Thanks!
Spoiler:
Yeah, Vulper' s supposed to be a terrible liar :P

StealthAngel667 -- Thanks!
Spoiler:
1 - I noticed... Must be a 0.976 thing.
2 - It would've thrown off a few events I wanted to happen.

Yeah, he is, which is.. cute :edgy:
In fact, I liked him that much...
Spoiler:
That I couldn't resist and drew him. I'm not all that good at drawing, I know. But still.
