Well, I'll respond, although don't expect huge essays or anything; I like to keep things short when it comes to posts, and save the huge arguments for OPs.
I don't consider Hobonix to be very bitter, it was a huge blow for him of course (As you can tell by his comments in the defense lobby "I hate you, x..."), but I think he eventually realised that the best thing for him to do would be to get to work sorting out all his problems instead of moping around in regret. Trucy certainly helped with her cheerful personality, and this spurred him to find out all he could in order to solve the truth behind her "Daddy"s past.
Considering how much he did, with the MASON system and everything, I think he was too focused on sorting things out to be bitter about his past - Even Drew Misham noticed how collected he was while he was being accused of Forgery; he didn't see any reason to feel regret, because he did nothing wrong.
Besides, I've noticed he's much more cheerful throughout AJ; in GS1-3 he's rather sarcastic and a bit of a sourpuss at times (Which leads to many comments from Maya), whereas in AJ, while being very patronising to Apollo at times, he seems much happier; he smiles and laughs a lot more, while in GS1-3 his laughs were usually nervous, forced or sarcastic.
Then again, this could all just be a front.
I'd like for him to get Iris in either period of his life to be honest, I'm sure they'd be perfect together

FeenRis is an excellent couple before GS4, before just about everyone disappears into nothingness, and only Ema and Phoenix are left.

I agree. AJ Phoenix is just not....phoenix. And I've got my own little theory to what happened after GS3:
Phoenix visits Iris at the detention center regularly, until he loses his badge.
Overwhelemed with the pain and shame of losing his badge and "forging evidence", he cuts contact with almost everybody he knows....including Iris.
Why?
To protect her. It makes sense. He wouldn't want Iris to suffer along with him. And, on top of that, he didn't have a job. Perhaps, by cutting contact, he thought she would be better off.
That's my theory, anyway :D
I also wrote a Feenris fic following that theory. It's called "SoulMates", you can find it on FF.net under the same username.
It pretty much reunites the two after AJ, and gets good ol' Nick back
FEENRIS FOREVER! They are just the best couple!

I saw it as this: After T&T Phoenix maintains regular contact with Iris, visits regularly, then BAM he loses his badge, and thus is unable to visit Iris anymore since he officially has no real relation to her.
Iris thinks Phoenix has moved on, and is more than slightly heartbroken but is partially happy because he has someone to make him happy, instead of wasting his love on someone who's imprisoned.
Now judging by the fact that Adrian committed the same crime as Iris - messing around with the crime scene - and Adrian is in the very next game about a year later, I'll assume that Iris gets the same punishment. So, about one year after T&T, Iris is released from prison, right?
So, Phoenix gets a call from Gumshoe (Although I've heard that apparently he quits his job after Phoenix loses his badge?? But I thought he was in AAI D:) saying that Iris has been released. Phoenix quickly heads over to the PD, expecting her to be there - but she's already decided to head back to Hazakura, her only home since she thinks Phoenix is gone, to continue her work there with Sister Bikini. So Phoenix takes the next train to Hazakura, and there it goes,
& are united once more!

One of the main reasons that I have my theory is because Iris, or anybody else, for that matter, is mentioned in AJ. I had to think of a reason why.....and while I did I tied it to Feenris. Thus, my fanfic was born XD
I could very well be that Phoenix simply didn't mention anything of his private life to Apollo, but if Iris came out of prison a year after T&T, and got back together with Phoenix right away, then I'm pretty sure she would have helped out some how with his plan, or at least be mentioned in AJ. That's the only conclusion I could come to
I reaaally hope Iris comes back in GS5. If there is a GS5. What with GK2 coming out...we may not see Polly or Feenie for another couple of years
*sigh* How depressing....

That's true, although if both sisters were left at Hazakura the possablities are endless.
Iris would be pretty much the same person. Dahlia, on the other hand would have changed a great deal. Even if she was "good" she would still be more strong-willed than Iris, and more confident. And that's why I assume she wouldn't fall for Phoenix right away, considering he was pretty immature and goofy in college. But, perhaps, after ditching Doug, she starts seeing him in a different light....?
I don't know, but like I said, the possabilities are endless. We might as well assume that she did fall for Phoenix, as discussing Dahlia changed peronality here is not really Feenris.

I think Iris fell for him because she was kind of like him at the time - unconfident, shy, but cute/cheerful.

Speaking of which, I was going to do that yesterday, but then I came up with an idea for a different Feenris video.
"Just The Way You Are" came on the radio, and, since I was already writing my fic, an idea came to my mind: what if Phoenix sung that to Iris (even though he probably can't sing to save his life XD)
After that, I just HAD to make that a video
