Auto Login Broke?

The "log me on automatically each visit" function isn't working for me.

I had an issue with it the other day, but I think it's been working okay for me when I close my browser and bring it back up. I think for me it happened when I had turned my computer off and then later turned it back on again to get on the Internet.

Can you describe in detail what is going on when the issue occurs? That will probably be helpful for when the more tech savvy mods and admins see this.

I think something like this happened when we first moved to Hanzi's server. The problem has something to do with cookies. But the 'delete cookies' button for the board doesn't fix it.

Additionally, I can't troubleshoot 'which' cookies are the trouble makers because while I had the problem I just deleted ALL of my cookies... which solved the problem for me... but was not unlike using an A-Bomb to stop the cat from barking.

Although really one should put said cat in a zoo.

It logs me out after a certain (unknown) amount of time spent away from the site. If I close the tab/browser and re-open it within a short time, I'm still logged in.

Yeah, it's the same for me. Even on two different PCs. I try to delete the old cookies, maybe that will solve the problem.

Edit: No, that didn't solve the problem.
