I remember this too, something about an 'I conducted an audience with the dead'. I don't think it was 'only' though. I guess channelling victims which aren't your case victim doesn't count as 'opening the Misty can of worms' [which is, I assume, the justification for Maya not just channelling the victim in every case, that and, as Gregory-Misty saga proves, GHOSTS STILL LIE, but in the Mia-research case, a pattern of lots of data pointing to the same thing is better evidence.]
It's indirectly implied that maybe Maya's beginner-type powers mean she can only channel Mia (since their connection makes it easier - Mia is the type of ghost that wants to be channelled and has unfinished business on Earthly plane, apparently resolved when she 'leaves' at the end of 3-5), but this is only an 'assumption', and proven to be incorrect when Maya channels Dahlia, and the narrative causing assumption she channelled Mimi by 2-2 (even though she didn't). The whole thing ('chanelling victims') is a tricky subject they sort of skirt around, I guess.

Then you get this monstrosity which you can't A) fill the desires of the prompter (which seems to be a good motivation to write the fic rather than it being a, um, time wasting activity) B) is weird, which is terrible because all my fics are weird to start with, C) looks like your own crazy mind, which is terrible with the premises in a kink meme, even if the prompts you were 'inspired' by aren't worse than PG rated.
And so of course I came up with a P/M epic I had to write, and I originally vowed in Feb or something to 'finish it by the end of the year' but well, that all fell through, not going to happen. Better be before the end of NEXT year.
Point to rambling... ummmm.... Hey, kink meme might inspire you to fanfic even if you don't fill prompts directly? Like, take a prompt for other chars as your inspiration and write it for P/M and post it somewhere else? (I just never have been able to comprehend those lists of words people use as prompts, I suppose it's an 'exercise which is hard to make you better at coming up with writing' rather than imagination-prompting material.)

)Dear P/M Fans, I finally edited my old fic The Order Of The Phoenix since I'm writing the sequel, so please do re/read it.
And inform me if you spot any embarassing errors of bad editing before I put it on fanfiction.net.
Now with More P/M.
It's not as good as it should have been buuut I'm only going so far on rewriting something from 2008. (I didn't want to throw the whole thing out and start again on the same plot, for example...) But It's BETTER now! The 'sequel' will be better, oh yes. (Sequel will have 9000% More P/M
) My goal is to start posting it 'by the end of the year'.

Anywho, if you guys wanna talk GS5, there's talk of a theory that's pro-Phoenix. Check this out.
Notice how all the Phoenix trilogy logos are blue lettered and have the star on the left, not to mention how the numbers get redder and redder, while it doesn't look anything like Apollo's? Yeah, it's just a theory based entirely on the logo, but you can't deny the patterns.
So what kind of role would you guys like to see Phoenix and Maya doing in GS5?

Um, the Apollo fanboys point out that the background of the shining 'Spark' (What is that? Is the movie theme song Spark2012 about this weird thing? Is it the Lawyer Badge?) is transparent like AJ not black like PW1-3. BUT I say that can be explained away by having more colours/transparencywhatever in a non GBA game and also because they had it in a different place and needed to cover less of the Apollo shadow.
Heeyy, we should test these hypothesis by seeing whose shadows actually fit in the logo... though they can always make a modified one anyway, defeating that.
In other words they're just torturing us all. [Though at least there's conclusive proof the game exists unlike the confusion last time.]

Eh well, it does depend on the nature of the game. If it's AJ2 I don't see much for Phoenix [There Is Room For Only One LAWYER! What I'd 'like' is very different to 'what is likely'.You know, the game doesn't HAVE to follow the old formulas to the letter. They might integrate some of the GK type game mechanics...
Idea Of The Moment: They should make Apollo the prosecutor, his beef against/'relation to Phoenix on the Past' Phoenix is his rigging the jury system/setting him up with forged evidence, disenfranchisement in general after all those nasty defense attorney 'mentors'.
Except I sort of predict they'll bury all that.... and the Apollo fans would riot. But it would indeed uncover Apollo's Non-existent Backstory and Lack Of Character Development. Everyone LOVES Edgeworth and Godot. They can throw some more GK type stuff around so the prosecutor has a bigger role.
Oh no but that's UNFAIR because Apollo was supposed to be the new defense attorney. So I don't think that would be popular.
Now I don't think they'll get through another game largely denying Maya's existence.

But it seems like the 'new logo' could quite nicely fit with EITHER shadow. And, well, they can move them around, like Phoenix in 123HD, or change their direction. Or draw a new one.... Conversely, I think they'd have to move Apollo along slightly from the GS4 logo position to not interfere with the shining spark thing, but no reason why they can't.

I dunno, I would think Maya wouldn't look too different from her 17-19 year old look compared to her 26-27 year old look. If anything, maybe just wearing different clothes, or maybe even being a little chubbier thanks to her eating habits. Strangely, I saw one person who just recolored Misty's sprite to be Maya's, which is odd considering Misty had to be in her 40s-50s. I doubt seven years would turn Maya into an old lady.

But the main logo in the GS1-3 era blue, yeah.
Now, they didn't bother making new Maya content for ages, like no Maya for 1-5 or GS4 or GK/2 or anything... but but... now we have UMvC and PL vs PW!
oh which is better, PS3 or XBOX 360? I have to play that game after all that...
Oh, well technically there's the HD sprites. But they kind of, aren't as good as they could be. Like people observed, they cut corners and used the art that used to make the GBA sprites if you know what I mean. I assume some kind of inbuilt animation things in the iWhatever animate better than the rips. But regardless, it's not really new art..............................................
I don't think Maya would look like Misty even when she was 50. She looks pretty different to Mia too... if you look carefully, the arts they made for GS3 young Mia and GS3 art Maya look at bit more similar, though.

Yeah, it's the light brown hair, they do look somewhat similar.
Not sure the genetics can't have Maya getting the Misty black hair and Mia brown though. [Not to mention dahlia with that red hair and Iris with, um, grey?] And it's not like the GS World bears any resemblance to OUR 'genetics'.
There's also that conspiracy theory of Edgeworth and Maya being related, which is pretty 'plausible'.
And there's the conspiracy theory that Mia and Maya have a different father anyway.
Half these conspiracies come from the fact that the character designers do indeed draw characters with similar features, since it's the same art style they're derived from. Gant, Zak and Apollo look totally the same. So do Edgeworth and Max.

Well, Mia's were, sort of, and SOME of the cast of GS1. They get more outrageous as the series progresses.

I can't see her as anything but Master of Kurain. It's pretty much a given that's what she'll be should she appear.
Naturally the "normal clothes" are reserved for her various disguises as she sneaks in to the city for secret trysts with Phoenix.

Glad to see Phoenix is coming back to the courtroom, so nice of Capcom to give us such a gift for today's celebration. If they give us AA5 starring Phoenix for Phoenix/Maya day, I wonder what they'd give for Christmas, maybe racecars with flamethrowers attached.

Why, PL vs PW of course, (supposed Dec 2012 release and all) with making P/M canon.
Which won't really happen, but we can dream, right?

I wonder where in the timeline it's set?
I suppose GS5 will be another 1-5 where Maya is conveniently 'absent maybe training ' yet again, but we can still believe they will decide to grant us a cameo or at least a PROPER reference.
