Sooooo....I finally found both later Transformers movies in the sale box few days ago and finally had time to see them both.
...Meh...It's....Could be....Both were...Okay, not bad, but not great either...

Revenge f the Fallen [2.8-3 / 5]
+ Looks better than its predecessor
+ Great action
+ Optimus with TWIN BLADES?! For me it's like Chuck Norris VS Power Rangers to somebody <3
+/- So we're gonna pull the "Optimus does the Jeesus" -trick again?
+/- The plot...It has its good parts, but also its lagging and dead boring times...
- ...Please don't add minutes for the parents or the friends just to make the movie longer...Some of the gags were funny, but there's too much of this and it gets annoying fast...
- Optimus VS Fallen...If you gave parents and friends 'bout hour put together, then why this final fight that should have been EPIC ended in like five minutes?! DISSAPOINTED...
- Oh cool...The wanna be funny minibot is in the film...And it just dissappears near the end...Great...

As you can see...I didn't like this that much...
It's action packed and I definitely was not expecting anything as awesome as The Green Mile, Private Ryan or The Hunchback of Notre Dame,
but in the end I still had this taste of disappointment in my mouth...

Dark of the Moon [2.5-2.9 / 5]
+ Shit is happening!
+ Rosie H.W (haters gonna hate, but I'd take her over Megan Fox anyday)
+ Shia LaBeouf...Why is it that your so annoying or disappointing through the movie? Then you do something to win me over but then the movie ends in next fifteen minutes...
+/- The plot...It's better then RotF, but is build just like it. Equally good and equally bad moments...
- ...Why are there even MORE of those annoying minibots?!
- Feels rushed so badly...
- THE PLOTHOLES & UNANSWERED QUESTIONS
- Why in EVERY movie there is that highly annoying politic M***** with a spiky hedgehog in his/her ***?!?!? I understand their part but please focus on the robots more!
- Optimus VS Sentinel was pretty ok, but Megatron won Sentinel way too easy...I would have wanted some forced teaming up with Optimus and Megatron and they'd battle against Sentinel for 15 mins or so and then have an epic fight with each others as well. ...But not like this...This is wrong...
- Has pretty much all the negative things from Fallen, but also has it's own to add into the sum...

This was boring, rushed and stupid. When the fight for the world began it was coo and all, but...the movie ends just badly...
I'm glad I finally saw both of the movies, but I'm not glad or happy of what I experienced...I'm not just satisfied...
The first movie was far batter than either of these two (FYI Fallen > Moon) and it didn't feel as rushed as these two. It was a complete movie.
Michael Bay; you made...nice action based movies, but these three movies don't make you Christopher Nolan by any means...Keep trying, but add some love for the work to and not just...just...
Okay look; explosion x explosion + explosion does NOT equal greatest movie ever...

That movie came out last year, how is it old?? What are you, some kind of rapidly aging creature that only lives for a few years? Does time travel so much faster for you than it does for the rest of us because your species only survives for a few orbits?

Someone got up on the wrong side of the bed it would appear.

Though yeah I wouldn't say Hugo is old but it looked a bit dull for my tastes.

No, I'm legitimately interested!! It's pretty strange to label a movie from last year "old" from a human perspective, but maybe Chips isn't human. Maybe Chips is actual physical chips come to life?? And he's nearly expired (I mean one year from the perspective of some chips is totally old), which would totally explain why he thinks the movie is old.

Anyway the last movie I saw was Lost in Translation. It was okay, I thought. Apparently it's critically acclaimed? I didn't see what was so amazing about it, though. A story of two bored, upper-class Americans who meet each other in Japan and have some fun together to douse the boredom of their lives. In the end they go back to being bored I guess? It's kinda vague about that. Bill Murray has done better movies. I give it six hipsters out of ten.

Edit: Oh yeah I also watched that 2011 Winnie the Pooh movie and I thought it was pretty delightful! It took me back to my childhood watching Pooh bear and his friends go on their adventures of imagination. My only problem was that, while the audio was in English, the video was in French (i.e. any writing [aside from the storybook] was French)! It kind of took away from the immersion. It gets nine honey pots out of ten.

Don't expect a happy ending--it's largely tragic and may unsettle the viewer--but it's very good at what it does. It's also a pretty good window into feudal Japanese culture, if I'm not mistaken.

Don't know what I was expecting going in, heard it was good (as in, not just the girls on my facebook being all "oohhh, Ryan Gosling he's so dreaaammmy" and saying nothing about the film). But good was an understatement, I'd say. Bloody brilliant, more like.

Arbitrary numbers don't interest me, so I'll just say if crime or noir is your kind of film, or you just like damn nice cars (and bitching scorpion jackets) then you should definitely watch it.

Saw The Amazing Spider-Man the other day...and I guess I would give it 2 stars out of 5. Gets pretty boring after a while, plus I prefer Tobey Macguire as Spider-Man (though Andrew Garfield was pretty decent...)

I also saw The Amazing Spider-Man, but I'd give it a 3,5/5. There is a small portion of the film that was so boring that made me yawn, however the climax, the actors, Spider's jokes, the effects and the overall visual factors of the film are not something I can just leave aside. All in all, it's a pretty good movie, though it really could use a little polishing on the story.

It was pretty good. The jokes worked. The action was good. The characters were good. But overall it still didn't enthral me as much as Avengers Assemble.

First post to mention Batman? Alright! The Dark Knight rises was a great movie. I'd give it about a 9/10. I felt the pacing the was a bit quick, and the comic book origins were a bit altered but that was expected. As for the pacing, the last part of the film seemed incredibly rushed. They introduced a bunch of stuff, resolved a bunch of stuff, and teased a bunch of stuff. Despite the tragic Batman shooting that occurred recently, it was a great film. At least Bane was done correctly.

TDKR: 10/10 Really liked it
Also, with the release of Brave, I watched a bunch of Pixar movies out of boredom
Toy Story 2: 10/10
Toy Story 3: 15/10 Quite possibly my favorite movie ever
The Incredibles: 10/10
Finding Nemo: 10/10
Monsters, Inc.: 9/10
Up: 9.5/10. Maybe it was because I watched it right after TS3 and was really tired, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I think I should have. Still loved it, though. Watched it again today, liked it a lot better 10/10
Brave: 7/10. Eh, I expected Pixar, not a Disney fairy tale.

But...Disney owns Pixar....and Disney Fairy Tale animated films are spectacular it's like their strong suit.

The Amazing Spiderman: 4/10

Decidedly mediocre despite the name. It wasn't as bad as I feared when I heard about it ages ago but it was a LOT of things I feared. It's really slow paced, powers don't really appear for what feels like an hour then it's about another 15 minutes till uncle Ben dies. Don't let the actiony trailers fool you, it is a high-school angst filled drama for a large part of it. Peter is just hung up on his missing parents for all the film and Gwen Stacey. Eugh Gwen Stacey gets so many scenes. Additionally Tobey Maguire is a better Peter, the 'new' Peter Parker is a bit of a tool doing stupid things, petty things and I think the film tries to portray him as a cooler guy (COZ ITZ A HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA) by making him a sick skateboarding guy who does photography and is a genius and has a spine to stand up to bullies before he gets his powers and he doesn't wear glasses normally (though he dons his father's later on) instead opting for the much less geeky-looking contact lenses.

On the plus side the villain I feel is played fantastically as are some of the side characters like Gwen Stacey's dad in charge of the police force. Uncle Ben is also a hilarious guy better than the original films. Also the action is ok though there's not as much as I'd like. While I prefer Maguire's Peter Parker, Andrew Garfield plays a very witty and entertaining spiderman on behalf of the fact he enjoys his powers a bit more coming across a big of a smug prick at times but generally he's ok in the Spiderman Persona. When he's a smug prick who knows he's more superpowered than everyone else in human persona it's irritating like he's trying to do infected Peter Parker of Spiderman 3 without any symbiotes anywhere.

So all in all, see the Dark Knight over this...or even Ice Age unless you like smug teen drama's.

Then again new Spiderman was in the Imaginarium of Doctor Stupid Idiotic Film so perhaps I just got pent up aggression against him.

Let me rephrase that. I expected something "Pixar special", like Up or Wall•E. I got something I felt Disney could do on their own. Sure, the animation was fantastic, but its plot didn't feel that amazing. I love Pixar for their great stories, and this just wasn't up to my standards. I think it's great Pixar is trying new things, but I don't think this style suits them well.

The Dark Knight Rises - 9/10

I REALLY loved this film. I liked the pacing, I loved Bane as a villain, I love the twist at the end, I love petty much all of the characters. I wish we got more Alfred though. And more Batman. I did sort of like how it was more of a Gotham City story but erh...

...I'd have preferred it if Batman appeared a wee bit more.

The Dark Knight Rises also gets a 9/10 for me. The story's amazing, the fight scenes are well-handled, the effects and designs are perfect and up until the end you feel the agitation of the plot rapidly advancing towards a bunch of mysteries.
The downside? The film could have used a little more humor and the end could be less rushed. All in all, it was awesome.

PS: Is it just me, or is the whole "Bane takes control of Gotham and pretends to give it to the people while in actuality he is plotting to destroy it" a political satire?

PS 2: That chant from the well prison, that one that went like "ish ish maza MAZA"... Am I the only one who's got it stuck in my head?

You're not the only one with "Deshi Bashara" stuck in your head. (It's Moroccan Arabic, if you're wondering. Means "he rises" not just "rise". TVtropes, I love you sometimes.

Also, I couldn't disagree with the people who didn't like The Amazing Spider-Man more. Though it's been a while since I saw it, so can't give a proper review of it. Plus resits taking over my mind.

Last film I watched was Lost In Translation. I love most things with Bill Murray in them, this was no exception.

So I watched Batman Begins for the first time in a year or two so I can view DKR as part of the trilogy more and see it more as part of a whole. I'll be rewatching Dark Knight tomorrow probably.

Batman Begins - 8/10

It held up better than I remember. I swear I remember it not being as funny or action-packed or psychological as it was. It was really, really good. But not as good as DKR in my opinion. I won't be comparing to Dark Knight until tomorrow as I feel I should wait until rewatch.

Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie

0.5/10

I'd give it a 0 but I don't want people thinking it's one of those "so bad you gotta see it" movies. Seriously, I knew it'd be bad going in but nothing could have prepared me for a film that makes the Scary/Epic/Disaster/etc. Movie series look like high art.

Please take my advice. Don't watch it. It's horrible, and you'll feel horrible afterwards because you'll realize the time you gave to this wretched movie is gone forever. I've already lost a portion of my lifespan. Don't let my sacrifice be in vain.

As before, I hate arbitrary numbers given on reviews, so I'k=ll just say it was relly bloody good, and certainly didn't pull any punches when it came to its violence. Add to that Karl Urban's permanent scowling chin and the fact that HE NEVER TOOK OFF HIS HELMET! and you've got an ACTUAL Judge Dredd film.

Mmmhmm I looked at the recent Total Recall as something of a comparison. Considering both had 90's film incarnations I was curious. Dredd probably got a bit of leeway since it didn't have to be a remake and could go it's own way with the fiction. Sort of a The Warriors style plot. Don't think it's worth the 100% rating it had on rotten tomatoes before I went to see it but hey it's a good film. Unless you hate 3D, this film is a bit abusive with it. While it sure looks good it is almost the sole reason for the existance of a drug called slow-mo is to cause artistic 3D scenes which I dunno, felt somewhat needless and largely exist to show of pretty effects.

Though if you're ok with 3D sure it's a good film.

I think the last movie I saw was Burn After Reading.
I didn't understand it - all these characters have separate storylines and problems, but somehow they're connected - and I disliked the characters. Just plain, Urgh! I didn't like being in the cinema and watching this on a screen - if it had been on DVD at home (which my mom bought) I would've left. The ending is weird. There are a few funny scenes or lines, but otherwise, I wish I could erase this movie from my memory.

Personally, I'd say 3/10.

Just saw Skyfall. It honestly blew me away. 5/5. :godot: Although a very good movie, I think that it's too new to be considered the best James Bond film. Perhaps with age, it will.

I'm currently watching some anime films. I recently saw The Castle of Cagliostro. Also 5/5. Hayao Miyazaki is a very good director. The next film I plan to watch is Grave of the Fireflies. I've never seen it before, but hear that its one of the saddest and most powerful film ever made.

Edit: Saw Grave of the Fireflies. Really sad. :larry: There's really nothing that I have to say that hasn't been said already. Go see it, but only see it once or twice.

I didn't think it was that boring, but I did doze off at some moments. And the visuals were beautiful. I thought it wa a pretty decent retelling of Snow White.

Roman Holiday was the last film I saw. I'd rate it 8/10! It was very funny but the ending was sad! And I hate sad endings!

Nodame Cantabile: The Final Score Part 2 was the last Japanese film I watched. I'd rate it 9/10! It had a perfect ending and the music from the series is just amazing! The Japanese dubs were a little off though.

Next film I want to see is the adaptation of Haruki Murakami's "Norwegian Wood." Considering it's one of my favourite books, I hope the film is good.

Wreck-it Ralph
I don't feel like giving numbers to rate the movies this time, but I really loved it. It could get a little cheesy sometimes, but that was a plus for me because it was very sincere and didn't rely on the video game character cameos at the beginning to give it a good story. Plus, OH MY GOODNESS, they've gotten so much better at animating everything. Just look at Sugar Rush -- everything is so well thought out, and there's one point where Vanellope runs under these curtain things under the stands and I was like, "wait... is that made out of fruit roll-ups? NO WAY." The way it moved, the look, the shine... it was perfect.
Ha, look at me dazzled by pretty candy. BUT the story is great, very heartwarming and I did NOT expect it to make me cry but man... props to Vanellope's actress.

Rise of the Guardians
It seems Dreamworks is continuing their run of doing heartfelt love letters to the genre they pick for their movies (Megamind, How to Train Your Dragon, King Fu Panda), and this movie shows it. It also can get a bit cheesy and the plot is... eh, it goes kind of all over the place, but this movie is much more about building up the characters and their world. Jack Frost (quite attractive, if I do say so myself :redd: ) is a really interesting main character since they added a fairly tragic backstory prior to becoming well, THE Jack Frost. (I didn't cry, I promise, but it's a bit more like an "I knew it" since they hint at it throughout the movie, and a punch to the gut for reasons I won't explain. But basically, lots of feels, just not to the point of tears).
ALSO IT'S BEAUTIFUL, the way they animate the sand, and the ice, and the way the tooth fairy's scale... feather... things shine, it's all so beautiful. I really do miss 2D animation, I really do, but at the same time I feel like the 3D studios are really starting to unlock their artistic potential.

tl;dr BOTH GREAT MOVIES. WATCH THEM.

Saw Skyfall a while ago. 4.5/5. It was a near perfect Bond with a good story, a memorable villain, and action off the walls

The Perks of being a Wallflower: 8.5/10. I liked how they dealt with the theme of suicide.

Django Unchained. Spectacular movie, it didn't feel like nearly three hours. A true epic. Comedy, action, and the classic Tarantino violence. Four out of five stars.

Spoiler: Why I didn't give it five stars
I could have gone without seeing Jamie Foxx's testicles, though.
