To me Maya is a good foil for Phoenix and they compliment eachother as characters. And on the subject on Maya being too immature for Phoenix, to me it doesn't matter. Phoenix knows, and he still cares about Maya regardless.

I think they mean actual moments showing them together. We spent three games with Phoenix and Maya together showing their growing relationship and interacting. We never saw Phoenix and Dahlia/Iris together in any meaningful way. Instead of being showing anything, we were only told.

Phoenix was in love with who he thought Dahlia was, not with Iris. The relationship was a lie and he has no idea how much of that was genuinely her feelings or simply the act. Even if it became real over time, it didn't start that way. He also spent the next several years getting over her.
So while I could see Phoenix thinking that starting things up with again with Iris would be the right thing to do, I don't think he'd be happy. There's too much working against it. Iris is physically identical to the woman who tried to kill him and also tried to kill Maya, canonically the closest person to him. Psychologically, it would be a huge stretch for anyone to get over that.

That's why I love Maya...She's more to me than childish antics and burgers. I don't like immature teenagers, sometimes I dislike my own age group but Maya is the immature teenager I can tolerate. And she HAS proven to be mature when it's most important and she is a kind person.
And yes, life sucks, and life is too short to be mature and serious all the time. Besides, I dislike snobby adults who put down young people just for being young.

Maya isn't immature. Maya is... playful....
Maya shows a lot of maturity about things that matter. (Also, a lot of people in that position would have RESENTED Pearl.) I think the people who dismiss her don't contextualise he in the kind of things she has to deal with.

-I've been expected by default to become the Master (since Mia abdicated, I didn't ever choose this!) except more of my family hate me for it and don't want me to
-(And Kurain isn't her 'responsibility', I get the sense she had no power there anyway because Misty was still defacto Master. She considers herself responsible to Phoenix, (the one who actually values her rather than her getting in the way of Pearl who 'should' be master) and so she should.)
-Oh so I play around enthusiastically and watch TV shows (instead of moping 24/7 or being uptight). So what.
The thing about Maya is that she is a cheery character, AND we see her crying and despondent at her worst moments of her life. But she retains her good intentions generally rather than becoming bitter, twisted, vengent, depressed or hyper-serious... UNLIKE all the other people in her family (Morgan, Misty, even Mia who was so serious she, um, abandoned Kurain but is never labelled 'irresponsible' the way Maya is criticised.)
If Maya was nothing but an immature bimbo, I wouldn't like her.

Actually, Maya says that near the end of 3-5. At the end, she said she "has to work extra hard being both Master of Kurain and office manager of Wright & Co."
Although assuming she can't be both, I can see her opting to stay by Nick's side, considering everything they've been through for the past three years.

I adore Apollo Justice and I don't mind Phoenix losing his badge as part of the plot but the plot holes left a good majority of us colored confused. :(
And to be honest I wouldn't consider T&T a perfect ending...After T&T I wanted to see Phoenix get more clients and such.

Phoenix and Maya share the strongest brother/sister bond imaginable. Maya holds no romantic feelings for Phoenix whatsoever. Why? There are never any romantic undertones between the two throughout the series. Phoenix is the older brother figure in the relationship and Maya is the little sister who believes that Nick is helpless without her.

Nah, it's just a bandwagon for people opposed to the pairing. While there's no romantic relationship during the series, the undertones for the future are all over the place. With no offense to my sister, I certainly wouldn't run across a burning bridge on the off chance she was in danger. It's nice to see her when she's in town, but I don't start staying home from work just because she's not around.
To say Phoenix and Maya are "just like siblings" is to deny a huge portion of what they really are to each other. There's no one closer in the series; not even those in an open, romantic relationship.

Iris is who she always was (because she's a flat, boring character) but Phoenix has grown up and moved on. Plus Iris winds up in jail. How many love stories end with half the relationship in prison?
As for Phoenix/Edgeworth, I will never understand it. The games make it pretty clear that Phoenix is straight and Edgeworth isn't interested in relationships of any kind, romantic or non.

Mhhh... well you could try doing something unusual with any other talent that you have.
Not all the contribution have to be drawings, fanfictions, doujinshis, *ahem* translations.
I mean, just mention you especial talent and you could probably thing on something.
But if what you want is to drawn some P/M, just mention all the parts that you have difficult with and then we can give some tips.

Yeah well I'm not getting my hopes up, those assistants are a revolving door for their game mechanic gimmick ever since 1-5 and are probably 'supposed to stay 17'... (Except Ema who got ripped off for her recurrence as something else).
Now Edgeworth I would have been very surprised if he didn't turn up with GK writers and all.
Let's hope they're covering a wonderful spoiler. I fail to believe the Magatama evaporated since 4-4. (Do we meet Edgey and Trucy in case 2 or something?)
As you hinted with Edgeworth well yeah. I'll say what I think.
The only 'reason' I ever heard for why Maya should have ceased to exist in GS4 (sans a stupid easter egg with no in-world impact) was that 'It's A New Story/New Game' aka continuity reboot/reset.
So okay with Edgey back (and Phoenix as main playable protagonist) guess the reboot/reset has been ret-conned at least partly so come on where is Maya? It's ludicrous if she stays down the Memory Hole. She hasn't been written out, she's just been...ignored.
I mean, I'd swallow any kind of c*** as this game provided Phoenix is a lawyer AND Maya gets referenced (preferably shown) as still existing as his friend. With the bar set so low, it's just cheap to rip us off. There's really no excuse at all, none. They know people who played 1-3 are playing this, especially with all the hype in 2012 with rereleases and movies and things. As a general principle, people don't like characters they had close positive interaction with in past games suddenly, um not existing.
Also no news on the PL vs PW localisation front as usual. I suggest you all suggest to Level-5 we want the thing? Right here!
