Been watching Nostalgia Critic episodes or PBG gameplay stuff in the background while playing Harvest Moon DS Cute with the sound turned off. The music is nice, but constant teleporting restarts the music and I am so sick and tired of hearing the same beginning notes of the winter theme...

As for myself, I'm thinking I've put it off long enough and I'm going to give Avatar: The Last Airbender series a go. I pretty much skipped it when it first aired, and not because it really looked bad. It was just a point where I didn't really watch TV anymore and at that time, I had already lost all interest in Nickelodeon. So, I'll see how it goes, I've been curious about the series for quite some time.
On April 3, 2016, Court Records Forums experienced a miracle upon that day.

Django Unchained is only good to watch for one character.
Or to count how many times they use the word nigger.
Otherwise, it's just a typical SHOOT EVERYTHING movie.
Seriously, I felt like I was gonna go deaf whenever the movie, through the closed doors, got to the shoot out.

The first half or so was amusing. Kind of made me think of a modern-day Blazing Saddles.

Then it got too serious and shoot-em-up and...eh. It wasn't bad really but I wish they'd kept more of the humor.

I don't know what you're talking about. I enjoyed every single character on screen. Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz have an amazing dynamic with each other. And if you're complaining about how many times they use the word "nigger," take into consideration the time period that the movie takes place in. I'm sick to death of people not getting that.

It's only a "shoot everything" type of film at the very end, but the action is still extremely well done. I enjoyed the film immensely, but that's just my opinion.

Of course I understand the time period it plays in, but I think there are people in the audience who watch it to have fun by hearing the word "nigger" without it suddenly turning into a huge case of political correctness, because back then, that was just what you called black people. I'm not saying the entire audience who goes to watch Django is like that, but I'm sure it is an appeal for some of the people going there.

However, I may also be biased because I had to take tickets in my cinema for weeks when that damn movie first came out and even longer after the oscar event. My judgement may be clouded by a subconcious dislike of this movie. So many f***ing tickets...

I love how JesuOtaku doesn't overhype Puella Magi Madoka Magica when she reviews it because other people overhype it and those people seem to have that mentality of "if it's dark it's good."

I like Madoka Magica (I watched it two times and I'm planning on watching it again.) but I don't think it's as genre breaking as everyone thinks...I thought Princess Tutu was the magical girl anime that broke the genre.

I've seen JesuOtaku's Month of Miyazaki reviews, as well as the one for Azumanga Daioh. She's pretty good. I also like Sage's Anime Abandon series.

Did you hear that Miyazaki is actually retiring? Although I'm saddened by this news, I understand his reasons. 72 is hardly an age to be making films of this caliber. Miyazaki was truly a visionary that changed the way we looked at animation. His films proved that anime could appeal to anyone, from any country, regardless of age. 100 years from now, his masterpieces will still be remembered for the stunning works of art and innovation that they were.

From Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro to Ponyo, I've seen every single one of his films and enjoyed all of them. If the trailers and early reviews are any indication, The Wind Rises will be one tear-jerking and heartfelt send-off to one of the gods of animation.

I finally get to watch the second season of Spice and Wolf and I'm addicted.

This season seems a bit more romancey but I like how Lawrence and Holo's relationship is being fleshed out.

I finished the second season of Oreimo, and then proceeded to watch episode 14... Fuck it. This series is dumb, and I won't watch it anymore! Reading other people's reactions to the 3 OVAs leaves me with no motivation to finish it because it ends the way I didn't want it to. Damn the author for writing an absurd ending!

FUCK!
I'm gonna go back to watching JoJo's. Fuck little sister relationships.

Honestly wasn't expecting a romantic relationship to ensue. It was a series about a brother and sister reconciling after years of ignoring each other. I knew the sister was of course going to love her brother in a romantic sense, but the brother going full-on siscon was ridiculous. Was hoping Oreimo would end with an open-ended harem ending since anything's better than incest.

Urgh... I've wasted so much of my time watching this. Could've been doing better funner stuff.

I just started Season 3 of Samurai Jack. My god, was the season premiere awful. Turning Jack into a chicken!? Seriously!? This show has such a high standard of excellence, and they actually had this crap episode!? WTF!? Were Genndy Tartakovsky and his team smoking crack up their asses!?

Samurai Jack has had its share of weird episodes, but none of them have ever been BAD. This one however, is one of the worst things I've ever seen in a long time. I hated every aspect of this story. The characters were awful, the story was stupid, the fight scenes weren't even that good, and Jack turning back to normal literally came out of nowhere. God, that ending were the other guy gets turned into a chicken, while Jack is turned back to normal was so damn painful.

I honestly can't believe that this crap is associated with Samurai Jack. Even episodes that were "questionable" in their quality like "Jack and the Farting Dragon" and "Jack is Naked" weren't this bad. And I'm not alone here. Most fans of the show, regard this episode in particular as the worst one. But that's okay. One or two bad episodes doesn't totally destroy a show. Let's just hope the awfulness ends here. :grey:

Isn't that fun to do? I watched my husband play Rune Factory Oceans when he was last over. He never played the game before and towards the end of Spring, beginning of Summer, I asked him if he didn't finally want to enter the damn Fire Temple and get on with the story.
He said he likes doing a ton of sidequest stuff and stock up on items and ingredients and such before doing more story. Something about his Skyrim game being only on the third mission but being Level 52 or something...

It was pretty fun, especially since at first she didn't wanna play it but I secretly downloaded it on her ps3 when we fell asleep so the next day I made her play it and she got hooked into it a lot. My reaction was "I created a monster" xD
