Simon isn't from a foreign country, though. If anything "Blackquill" sounds English.

From the English demo of Simon, and his English "Objection!", he does have kind of an English-sounding accent... I think.

Because it's cool to face off against yourself. (I'd guess that he picks those people he's actually met in person, so he'd have a better idea of how to imitate them.)

On a separate note, it's easier on the graphic designers, since they don't have to make an entirely new face for that model.

Well yes, putting Phoenix's head on Phantom's body is easy, especially since Phantom also takes some of his animations, but that doesn't answer it contextually...
Spoiler:
As far as I remember the very point of Phantom's character is that he was impersonating anyone he wanted and in result, didn't even know who he is himself.

Then, making a new face for him didn't really make sense, considering that. And I think he decided that Phoenix had the best defences in an argument, so he settled for impersonating him?... No idea.

Localization in a nutshell, I guess. (I have no idea what language do they speak in the French version.)

Oh, and the Judge and Armstrong in the Spanish version say they can speak English instead of Spanish.

Are you implying that the developers and localizers meant for these "compromising" stereotypes to be placed on foreigners? I wouldn't go there if I was you. :no-no:

That said, characters in entertainment media that are foreigners are often times represented as the "silly/funny" or "evil/antagonistic" ones. Racism aside, these kinds of characters can make for pretty good scenario and design writing. Besides, the two characters you've listed are meant to be comedic characters in their own right.

Also, all the versions except the English left Judge saying that he knows "please" is English. It wouldn't make sense for the English ver to also leave it like that.

Question: Aside from blackquill does the writing suffer from bad punctuation aka. way too many dots? I'm playing AAI atm and generally every second sentence has too many triple-dots and characters like Badd starts a lot of dialogue with five or more dots before he starts talking. It's a minor nitpick, but it does irritate me to read it.

It just seems to be a part of Takeshi's writing style. I just feel like it works for Blackquill because he's got that sinister silence to him.

My God, it sounds like someone's dying. MEDIC!

By the point that you've exaggerated it to, only people who are dying or going unconscious would last with silence like that... unless you're playing the Japanese version, where ellipses are overused. OVERUSED!

I don't think so. The episode titles usually describe what's in them pretty well. A reference/parody of the undead would be unfitting since the case doesn't have anything to do with such things.

They could've called it Turnabout Mumbo Jumbo, but I guess that's also too corny.

Maybe Turnabout Legend or The Tenma Turnabout.

Here are my case ideas:

Case 1: (confirmed) Turnabout Countdown
Case 2: Legend of the Turnabout
Case 3: (confirmed) Turnabout Academy
Case 4: The Celestial Turnabout
Case 5: Turnabout Showdown

You don't need to use the quote button if the post you're answering is directly above yours, but there's no harm in doing so.

Instead of "Legend", which can be misleading, how about "Myth"? We're talking about the same thing in this context.

Turnabout Finale? It sounds like the end of the attorney's job. (Like his final case or whatever.)
Something that includes ''final'' in a case title makes you think that it's the end of the AA series.

"Turnabout Finale"/"The Final Turnabout" sort of sounds like the exact opposite of the feel of the literal Japanese title ("Turnabout to the Future") =\

My thoughts exactly. Actually, all my ideas so far were merely a variation of already presented ideas and themes.

Similarly, my idea for 1st Big Bad theme's title in Music Discussion topic uses exactly that. Totally not a self-praise.

Calling a case ''The final turnabout'' proves that they were lazy to figure what the name will be. (Much like Case 2-4, a brilliant case and it's called ''Farewell, my Turnabout''. I don't know about you but I think the name was a bit lazy.)

To a final case.

We should know we are talking about a specific case here. With lots of future- and generally time-related themes.

While it might some sort of a habit "Farewell, My Turnabout" and "Turnabout Goodbyes" as BonnyMono pointed out, it was still nicely played with instead of giving such a generic name.

I suppose a few more questions can't hurt.

Spoiler: "Various"
1. What's the context around the first time Simon breaks his cuffs? Did he lose the case, or were they still in the trial process and it's more of a breakdown/reaction?

2. Is Perceiving totally blocked in court by Taka and only usable during investigations, or is Apollo able to deter him later on?

3. Do we get to interact much with Simon outside of court?

1. Nah, he was just getting serious with a counterattack... and his finger-sword.

2. Apollo gets to use it later in court, with Simon's permission.

3. Yep, once in Turnabout Return and a couple times in 5-5

In case that's a yes did you think it hurts difficulty?

You're going to have to be a bit more specific. (And if you're looking for a Japanese pronunciation guide, Google and Wikipedia are your friends.)

Yes.

Not quite. The game sets a manageable pace of difficulty across cases, but it's difficult to measure exactly which specific moments are tougher than others. I'd call the game easy overall, but there are many places where it's much easier to overlook some details, and suddenly my impressive streak comes to an frustrating stop.

The usual.

I dunno, ''The final Turnabout'' sounds so depressing. It's like the whole series is gonna end after you're finished with that case.
