I downloaded the demo for Long Live The Queen.
I REALLY wanna play the game, but I don't have Steam and Paypal won't work for me, so I can't pay for the game off of the proper page.

Cause I already have Origin for Sims 3 and I didn't have all that much space on my harddrive anymore. (Though I removed Sims 3 stuff after saving copies of some things) And I now have the full version of the game. Holy crap, NOT dying in this game is a real chore! I mean... you know Darkseed? That game where if you did ONE thing wrong or DIDN'T do it, you'd end up dead.
That's what Long Live The Queen feels like. Trial and Error.
Up to now, I've had Elodie stabbed twice, blasted by magic a few times, lost the kingdom after her father died, ran off at one point and got killed by an arrow.

I find it hilarious that Ace Combat: Joint Assault decided to pull a tragic villain twist in the latter half of the final mission (the last ten minutes) accompanied by over the top "emotional music." It just doesn't work in a game where the story is nothing more than an embellishment.

Talking about Xenoblade chronicles. Riki an Dunban are cool but who is the third? I liked all the characters a fair extent so switched up often

For most of the game/fights pretty much any team can work tbh. I used Dunban/Riki/Shulk for quite a bit tho, iirc.

Spoiler: Pokemon Insrgence SPOILERS Do not read if you just started the fan game.
Well for time being since I got no Gym Leaders to battle and pretty much will be branded as a cultist or a villain by attacking The Second Auger who is the Leader of the Sky Cultist and killed the First Auger.....I shall put that game on HOLD.

Okay while playing Pokemon Insurgence I need to say it. The Sky Cultists are like Vampire for Jesus, The Cult of Darkrai uses a ritual circle to summon Darkrai by sacrificing their life and no to mention their leader is a psychotic bitch that will kill anybody that angers her,
Spoiler: Another spoil don't read if you haven't played the fan game
The guy who gives The Professor the 3 starter Delta Pokemon is part of a cult that seeks Perfection......
and as for Abyssal Cult and I think whatever the cult is called for Groudon still unknown. Not much info bout those two yet so far...... I can't wait til they finish the game..... Sure it takes a long time to code all of it..... But HEY That's good that's real good.

Doubt you got the full picture there. As far as I'm aware its Nintendo only.
Perhaps its Xenosaga you mean?

Though yes I think it's a very enjoyable game. Hopefully the Wii u sequel will be very good too.

The only PS3 game I can find that has "xeno" in the title is Xenogears, which is a port of the PS1 game. Xenoblade is the spiritual successor to that game's spiritual successor, Xenosaga. Never played any of them myself, though.

So far my current team is Dunban/Riki/Shulk as well. I just wanna weigh my options on what other team combinations are good. Everyone is currently level 36.

idk, Reyn is the only character I didn't use much (I may have used him for topple-locking... although I also may have just used Shulk/Reyn/Seven, I can't remember). You can swap out Riki for Sharla if you want to trade damage for more healing, or use Melia to do... Melia things, but idk.

Melia is only worth it when you assume control of her. The AI don't use her well. She is quite powerful DPS and buffs though.

I kept tossing Shulk out for Riki

Seven? I was thinking of swapping Riki for Sharla for more healing, since I noticed that Dunban dies much quicker with Riki on my team instead of when I had Sarla on my team. Hard to swap out Riki also when he looks so damn adorable in the equipment I have on him. :basil: Melia I tried to play as her but once I saw her status, I'm like "NOPE!"

I just finished Crisis Core. Pretty good but a little too repetitive and I don't think I'll be clamoring to play another any time soon. The little detour with Sephiroth also seemed pretty pointless but I guess they wanted to set things up. Also, Zack is one of the most likable protagonists...maybe ever

The ending was also really, really good. Made the boring parts worth it (though they seriously picked the worst music choice ever for the credits)

So, is Aerith that girl that dies in FF7? If so, I'm assuming she's a better character in that game? Otherwise I can't imagine myself getting too broken up over it

Not yet. Right now I'm currently trying to get the clearance to Prison Island.

Sorry that was a typo. I meant her stats.

(*meant to say Shulk/Dunban/Seven as the topple-locking team, herp derp)

What's wrong with her stats? She's the closest thing the game has to a mage, so her defense and offense are going to be pretty weak--you need to give her lots of ether, tho. She has tons of buffs and pretty good magic damage. The game doesn't do a very good job of explaining how she works imo, but she's not bad.

Idk, Dunban shouldn't be dying that much. His evasion might not be high enough or something? Or maybe Shulk and Riki aren't healing enough, idk.

In fairness Dunban is an evasive tank. His tanking ability is almost built entirely on not getting hit. He might just be having a rough time with the RNG and Dunban is taking a few big hits.

Though Riki's heal is really quite effective, it's strange it's not working better. Maybe give Dunban some HP recovery gems if you can to boost the heals he gets.

Also Melia is fine, her buffs and "bursts" are really pretty good. Plus I think she's officially the highest DPS with her DOTS stacked up.

In my opinion, once you get the right links and gems, Melia becomes one of the most powerful characters when it comes to damage, and because she deals ether damage, her attacks won't miss like the physical ones. Kind of a blessing and curse when going against higher level enemies. Her abilities are very good. As far as I'm aware though, she's okay on AI, but better controlled by you. I think she's a bit better AI controlled than... say Shulk. If I'm not playing him, he is not staying out on my team. Learn how to Monado Arts!

Yeah Zack is a much more likeable character and main protagonist for me than Cloud. Really, only incarnation of Cloud I like is, incidentally, Crisis Core's cause he's just a sweet young boy. Zack was a huge improvement compared to Cloud, for me. Unfortunately the missions are super repetitive...

I love the ending. I hate it, but I also love it. And Price Of Freedom (the BGM) is awesome. (What do you have against Ayaka's "Why"? That piece was awesome, it isn't a very happy song, neither is the melody all that happy.)

Yes Aerith is THAT girl. Though I have said it before, I found her worse in VII because I always knew her as Aerith The Cetra and not Aerith The Person. I knew her more as Aerith The Person in Crisis Core than I did in VII. Incidentally, this is also the reason why I DON'T care about her death in VII. I didn't KNOW her as a character or person, so why should I care?

Also, Sakaguchi says her death was NOT supposed to be seen as necessary or a ritualistic one so that the lifestream would ultimately win in VII. He wanted it to be a sudden, out-of-nowhere death. To which I have to say...
1) don't make it so freaking obvious she's gonna die
2) DON'T KILL HER ON AN ALTAR IN A CITY IMPORTANT TO HER PEOPLE'S RACE WHILE PRAYING!!
And yes that last bit is a huge sign that makes it look like it is a ritualistic death.

VII has been retconned so many times and the devs give so many different answers to questions people ask about it that I'm pretty sure nobody at Square past or present has any idea about the game anymore.

RNG? Do you know how I could get more gems as well? Do I have to go back to Colony 9 to get them? I'll probably use Melia once I get her good enough equipment.

You get a box somewhere that lets you fuse gems on the fly other than that yeah it's back to Colony 9.

Which is as simple as a few fast travel clicks.

RNG?

Generally means Random Number Generator (or called Random Number God) and refers to the drop gotten from something. RNG can be affected by reloading the game from a save and trying the same fight again to get a better item drop or what you wanted. (Like in XIII, it's a good idea to save before fighting Adamantoises to see if they'll drop a Trapezohedron or a Platinum Ingot)

The box for me isn't clickable and I don't know why. I'll have to go back to Colony 9 for now.

I mean it's like an item you get, it'll probably be greyed out until you unlock.

You get the necessary components for the mobile furnace in the process of restoring Colony 6. You need to restore Housing, Nature, Commerce, and Special to Level 1.

As for party composition, I'd say it depends on how you're performing, Mr. Komaeda. I try to arrange my team based on what kinds of fights I'm expecting. My memory is that you don't have any regular Mechon enemies in the near future, so Shulk isn't necessary, if you're worried about that. Also, if you're having trouble against regular enemies, you should probably have Sharla or Riki on your team for healing. Sharla's the better healer, but she can't take as much damage as Riki can, which means you'll need someone else to draw the enemies' attention and keep everyone off of her if you use her. Reyn and Dunban are both good aggro beacons, as I call them. Reyn is more along the lines of your typical defensive wall while Dunban is better at dodging. Dunban's got higher accuracy, so he's probably better for an offensive approach, but as has been pointed out, using him means you're leaving more to chance due to his inferior HP. As far as damage is concerned, they're both pretty good at dishing it out, so it's mostly a question of how much you want to bet on the RNG being in a good mood. Melia's more of an artillery-style character; her Ether Arts can be devastating when used well, not to mention each element has a passive bonus to the entire team until it's released, but she is horrible defensively, meaning you'll definitely need an aggro beacon if you have her on the team. I tend to think of Shulk and Riki as support. Both of them have attacks that get bonuses when the enemy isn't facing them, so they're at their best when someone else is serving as an aggro beacon. Shulk and Riki also both have healing Arts, but Sharla outperforms both of them in that area. Shulk's Monado Arts can provide useful buffs to the team while many of Riki's Arts inflict status ailments on enemies.

Yeah but Status Ailments are damn useful, putting enemies to sleep until you've dealt with big targets is good crowd control. Speaking of that Riki has a fair few moves that hit an area instead of a target, more than Shulk for sure and honestly the monado buffs I found to be pretty unnecessary beyond their initial introduction, shield and enchant the basic ones. Take Riki over Shulk if you aren't fighting Mechon anytime soon. He's got the backstab, a better heal and an awesome move that has a chance to topple people without them even being broken.
