Another Famitsu, another batch of DGS news; as previously announced, this time focuses on episode 3.
Episode three,
as previously announced, is called "The Adventure of the Speeding Locked Room" and focuses on a murder that took place in a horse-drawn carriage. Ryuunosuke is drawn into the case upon arriving in London, when he's summoned by the Chief Justice, Hurt Vortex, who's described as a strict adherer to science and a man who focuses on time above all else. Vortex assigns Ryuunosuke to take on the case of a man nobody else will defend, and though he says it's a "simple case", there's a mountain of evidence against the man and a severe penalty if he's found guilty.
That man is Cosney Megendal, an English gentleman well-known around town for his almost uncannily good disposition. Although Megendal is well-liked, nobody will take on his defense, on account of legendary prosecutor Barok van Zieks handling the case. Nonetheless, Ryuunosuke gets dropped into court with hardly any time to prepare. Barok, in turn, is a master at presenting evidence at just the right moment to leave an impression on the jury, and he's got plenty up his sleeve.
Finally, a new witness is introduced, Gina Lestrade. A young pickpocket who lives amongst the orphans of London's East End, she witnessed the case while she was, erm, "working" (and seems to take offense at the idea she's anything less than a pro at her job.) But as the case develops and even the carriage itself is brought into court, things take a turn for the unexpected when a fire breaks out in the courtroom. To be continued!
It also looks like we'll get at least one more Famitsu article, as a cat is shown and promised to be explained in a future report.
Update: The official site has
added a page covering the episode. Take a gander and listen to some of the sweet, sweet music!
