Pierre's brief interest in joining reminds me of some things I forgot to ask about. Do you have any plans for what will be done once we move on to another game's storyline? By the time we're done with the GSC/HGSS storyline, I imagine everyone will have a pretty strong team and quite a few Pokémon in storage.

Also, what's your plan regarding field moves? I'll admit that I've never especially cared for how their use in the games forces me to have certain Pokémon in my party for certain parts of the story. Consider, for example, Rock Smash, a move that is almost useless in battle except very early in the game. I've always hated having to make one of my Pokémon learn that move, as it essentially means they only have three moves that are likely to see any use in battle. For that matter, its entire premise strikes me as ridiculous. I'm supposed to believe that the only thing that can clear rocks out of my way is a punch with an attack power of 40?

Admittedly, neither of these things is likely to be relevant in the near future, so if you don't have a plan yet, I'm not about to complain.

Well, although that's probably going to be a long time from now, if we do finish out this storyline, then all I can say is that starting another storyline will be a fresh start. In other words, starting the new storyline will be basically starting a new RP. So a new sign up thread will be made and if people are interested at that time, they may join. Also, that new RP would flow better than this one, seeing as I would have a much better idea of what I'm doing.

All field moves stay, but Rock Smash will not be necessary to break the rocks. A good Tackle should suffice at the least. That's probably why they just made Rock Smash a TM.

On Friday, SJD is going to start us off by introducing Basir to Professor Oak, and then I'll need you all to give me a few minutes to write out Akashi introducing himself and writing out Oak's Monologue. I wrote a draft of the monologue, and it took up a whole page, so... yeah.

My apologies. I have just gotten out of band camp (they kept us later than I thought). I am very sorry for the short notice, but I will be unavailable for the entire weekend. I am attending an anime convention this weekend and that is why I won't be here. I have been busy the entire week and my internet at my house has been out, making me unavailable via my computer. Maybe we should have someone as an understudy to my character. Since I tend to do a lot of stuff now, it'd be a good idea to get someone else as a back up to keep the RP going.

It's a good practice, but... it's not exactly easy finding someone that has the capability of being a good understudy. They have to understand the character to such a point, ja? So it can be more tricky than it sounds.

Well, wait . . . might be a solution here somewhere. Wasn't the original plan concerning Ace's absence for Moonlit to take temporary control of his character? I mean, SJD's only gonna be gone until next Friday's session (as far as we currently know). Can Moonlit temporarily control his character for that time? Or maybe I could try subbing for both Ace and SJD at the same time, but that would be . . . difficult to negotiate. I've played multiple charries before, but it's different to RP an OC than it is to RP someone else's charrie. Or maybe flip-flop so Moonlit takes Anya while Ace is gone and I sub for SJD whenever he's unavailable?

I'm just throwing out ideas, here, sir.

As far as today is concerned, I'm leaving soon to do a thing with my family and I can't get out of it. I'll be available in an hour, I hope. :sadshoe:

I am sorry for all the fuss. I just have so much going on that it isn't written in stone that I can warn y'all about. Let's see, I have a band barbecue that is non negotiable next Saturday. Friday and Saturday should be free. Mondays I figure I can do, but only for an hour or an hour and a half during my lunch break from 11:30 or noon till 1:00 pm. I'll update everyone here as I'll try and prioritize band and this RP.

Well, at any rate, it's too late to accomplish anything today. RP will go on tomorrow at 11:00am CDT. Since SJD is unavailable, I'll be taking temporary control of Basir just so I can move this thing forward.
I'm actually a little frustrated and if I was a little meaner, I would just cut out Basir completely. Wouldn't be hard too, given his personality.
