That's irrelevant. One can be an atheist and believe in spirit channeling, or one can be religious and not believe in spirit channeling. Religion is not paranormality and vice versa, but the two are related.

By now with SoJ, I'd say it's difficult for Edgeworth to continue to deny the existence of spirit channeling. If anything, I always saw his comments in 3-5 as a defensive mechanism instilled in him due to his trauma. It's not simple to just "get over it", but I figure he actually does acknowledge its existence. And if he didn't before, he does now. Yet, he still questions whether or not it should be used, especially as admissible court testimony.

In any case, science has yet to explain how spirit channeling would work on a physical level. Perhaps it never will. 'cause it's metaphysical

Black isn't Manov Mistree's natural hair colour. He dyed it to look even more like Mr. Reus used to do. (I think it's quite the coincidence that a loyal fan of Reus just so happened to look eerily similar to him, so I'm trying to comfort myself by thinking that perhaps there was at least some striking difference, since the whole "looks almost exactly the same" ticks me off a tad.)

A new headcanon I just came up with:

Spoiler: Turnabout for Tomorrow
The Phantom's Sniper was De Killer.

Spoiler: SoJ, DD, AJ
Thalassa came from a conservative family. Her marriage to Jove Justice was a shotgunwedding. According to Brushel, they had only been married one year when Jove died, meaning Apollo could have been concieved shortly after the wedding, or shortly before it. From what we can see in the Divination Séance, Apollo was very little when Jove died, but not newborn-little. My headcanon is Thalassa was pregnant already when she got married, but not so far gone that it had started to show. According to Zak, she left the troupe after she got married, and didn't seem to have kept in touch with them. While she was gone, she carried out the pregnancy, had Apollo, then believed he had died in the fire along with Jove. She then returned to the troupe, obviously without a kid, and at some point after that got married to Zak and had Trucy. Zak never got to know about Apollo's existence or that she had ever been pregnant before having Trucy, we can assume Valant didn't either, it's unclear whether Magnifi knew about it or not. As for what she actually had planned to do, I see a few possibilities: either she was planning to tell Magnifi, Valant and Zak about Apollo when he'd gotten a little older, or she was going to keep staying away from them, and only returned because she felt she had no other option after having lost both her husband and, to her knowledge, her child. Or Jove was going to take care of Apollo and Thalassa do something else. When Phoenix spoke to Brushel, the latter said about Apollo that he had "slipped through the cracks", and was "another orphan, now". At least to me, the way he words it suggests giving Apollo up for adoption wasn't something that was meant to happen (just that before SoJ, it seemed like the most plausible explanation with the facts we knew by then).

The other thing is a headcanon bordering on "makes sense in hindsight" (and "harsher in hindsight"). In Dual Destinies there's the flashback where Clay is sad because his mother just passed away, and Apollo comforts him saying he understands how Clay feels because Apollo doesn't have a mother either. It always struck me as a little odd, seeing as from what we knew Apollo didn't have any parents at all, not just lacking a mother, but I assumed he said that because that was what Clay was sad about and their common ground, so he only mentioned not having a mother. Then in SoJ we learn he grew up with a father. In the flashback he doesn't look a lot older than on the photo we see of him, Nahyuta and Dhurke in SoJ, so it's possible he befriended Clay shortly after having moved to Japanifornia and that he was still waiting for Dhurke to take him back to Khura'in at that point.

When Klavier is drunk and/or high, his "German" accent becomes extremely un-subtle and fake, like using "ze" instead of "the" and so on. Nobody knows whether he does that to joke/mock himself or not.

Worldwide Studio's mascot is actually Mrs.Monkey, who got divorced from Mr.Monkey as the rivalry between Worldwide and Global Studios intensified. This is why Edgeworth always confuses them.

Edgeworth isn't a Steel Samaniac in 1-3. He is however one in 2-4 because ahe accidentally took with him on his trip to Europe a Steel Samurai DVD and became obsessed with him for the rest of his life <3333

Eh, I prefer to believe that he wasn't a fan when he first took Powers' case, but after taking a peek at an episode (or three 'cause you don't stop at two), he was hooked. By the end of the case, he became the Steel Samaniac we all know and love. So when he got the chance to investigate into both de Killer and the Hero of Heroes ceremony, he jumped on it so fast that people thought it was a directive from above for some reason.

I also believe that the real reason Nick never changed his ringtone is because he's actually a fan. He's just more casual about it, so it he doesn't come off as one. And of course, it's thanks to him and Maya that Trucy is one too.

I also believe Capcom is cheating us by not releasing an actual trading card collection of Steel Samurai. Yes, I'm still salty about it.

Vera Misham is Autistic. People believed that her socially withdrawn nature was due to her sheltered upbringing, but the way she speaks and acts and how she uses her drawings to express her true feelings bring to mind behaviours of those on the Autism spectrum. I'm on the Autism spectrum myself, granted I'm slightly higher functioning than those Vera resembles, but I was in a couple different special needs programs throughout my life where I interacted with children that were more severe than me, and it's shocking how much Vera resembles some of them.

Trucy declined her invitation to go to Hogwarts as she didn't want to be so far away from the adoptive father she loved. She also thought her father would have been lonely and sad without her as if he was going through a difficult time. She had already lost one father and did not want to lose another.

Klavier likes drama and petty fights on the internet. Not to partake in, just watching it unfold and laughing at it. Kinda like his reaction to "the Herr Forehead and Daryan show" in case 4-3.

Spoiler: 6-5
Near the end of 6-5, Apollo tries to give Dhurke's badge to Nahyuta because he thinks he should have it, but Nahyuta says he must refuse the gift to take Apollo to the law office and ask him to stay and nothing more gets said about the badge. My headcanon is that Apollo still thought Nahyuta should have the badge, especially with him taking over Dhurke's old office, and sneaked it into Nahyuta's posession anyway,
while Nahyuta thinks Apollo should have the badge since he's a defense attorney, and returned it just as stealthily next time they met, and then it became a thing with them stealth-giving each other the badge back and forth: slipping it into pockets, hiding it in offices and homes, etc,
all while treasuring it for the various amounts of time (to throw the other off) they keep it in their posession. And if Dhurke knew, he'd love it.

The existence of Spirit Mediums and the way to ask the dead in order to ensure a fair sentence is covered up by the high officials. They saw the rare case where the spirit is mistaken in Gregory's case and use that as a chance to convince the world that spirit channeling is a hoax. I believe at the end there would be a battle where this so called 'magic' is explained and that the world building will get bigger until probably it's possible that the dead ones are actually the one requesting a defense trial for being accused of murdering.

Gregory: (...Note to self, coffee has a bad effect on lawyers.)

Shiga and Godot are rather close in age, but Godot would have been around 15 or so at this time (AAI2-3), so I'm going to headcanon that they met later when they were both lawyers and he heard it from Shigaraki first and started to use it himself.

In 3-5, Godot calls Mia "Madame Attorney". In 3-1, Dahlia keeps referring to her as "Madame Fey". My headcanon is that Diego referred to her as such during his interview with Dahlia in the court cafeteria, and Dahlia took after it as a way to get under Mia's skin.

I think that name was really just a way for Dahlia to call her old, but I would not be surprised if Diego called Mia that at some point jokingly.
(That said, he wouldn't in the JP ver. There, Dahlia just calls her "grandma", and that's just offensive.)

As it was written in the game, yes, as Mia's reaction to it suggests, but it's just my headcanon. And she could be calling her old while still having picked it up from something Diego said without Mia even knowing it came from him in the first place. ...in the localized version.

Hmm...maybe I'm overthinking this, but I realize something from 5-3 with Robin.
Spoiler: Spoilers for GS5 and Persona 4
If I remember correctly, it was specifically mentioned that she was raised as a boy from a young age and forced into the whole prosecutor path. Perhaps...Robin started out born as a cis gender male and raised as such before eventually realizing that she was actually female and therefore, transitioned into a transgender female sometime prior to the case with her parents not too pleased with that and hence having to fake being male. I know that in Japanese media females disguising themselves as men is a thing (see: Persona 4 with Naoto), but it was the specific mention of her being raised as male from a young age that made me think that something deeper could be potentially going on.

Here's a few of my headcanons!

Phoenix is asexual and biromantic. (He's an ACE attorney in more ways than one!)

The reason why the judge always seems to favor the prosecution until your client is without a doubt innocent is because the prosecutors scare him (especially the VonKarmas).
