"Windows open, air rushes in or out, room gets churned up. And like, say, if we were all in a plane and a window got opened, wouldn't that cause some major turbulence? Though I doubt we're in a plane, way too big for that."

Sir Cardor seemed to be somewhat confused by the boat theory. He scratched his head in thought. "Er, so…excuse me, but I don't quite understand where you're 'sailing' with this theory, as it were. If we happen to be vacated on a vividly vast vessel, then…how does that help us locate our mystery murderer? I realise this gives us a new understanding of our surroundings, but I would also like to know how this helps us progress with the case."

"Wait! Wasn't the body soaked? Dallas wasn't down there when the sprinklers went off! Also that might explain why there wasn't any blood on the hacksaw he was trying to cut his arm off with. Can someone who saw the body confirm this? I can recall his lighter being soaked for sure."

"I'm just imputing here, since no one else said it, but....what about the possibility of an offshore oil rig, or research station? Those are stationary, so we wouldn't feel it rocking like if it was a boat, and sometimes the lower levels are built underwater."

"Ah, thinking about it, there was someone in the basement at some point, Akio." Dale said. "We saw he was wet when he arrived at the scene with Kagayaki, but as far as we're aware he left the basement before the quake happened. Unless he got wet in the plaza, the water in the basement isn't necessarily tied to the quake. It's more likely Akio set the sprinklers off, then left, after which the quake happened."

"Why is it more likely that the water in the basement was due solely to the sprinklers? Surely I do not doubt they were triggered at some point, unless Lord Taira was incapable of hearing the gunshot, but even if they were, that would not explain the chaotic mess in the basement rooms."
