That's the most difficult thing for me to give to you because we know so little, and it proves the least about your innocence. We know you got up there with the tools and the bandages, but we don't know if any bandages or supplies were used, I mean you saw all that blood under the door, right?!"

"Anyway, if you wanted to move, you could have moved pretty fast I wager. Maybe fast enough to slip back down the cliffside and back up again if you had to. Maybe it wasn't your first choice to do that, but you knew that without your help Eli and me wouldn't be able to fix the antenna ever, so you had to leave the base at some point."

Taylor groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I swear to fucking god..."

He then looked at Marshall, raising a brow. "Okay, another question, then. Where, exactly, would I control the car from? The person who had the laptop likely would have wanted to be somewhere secret and secluded, so no one saw them on said laptop and got curious. Between leaving the base, climbing up the cliff, and going to the temple, that's not exactly a lot of down time. And if I went BACK to the base -- which I'm pretty sure I didn't, by the way -- I'd need to climb back down and return the laptop. And then I'd have to climb back up to the temple. That doesn't leave me with a lot of time, does it?"

He huffed after his spiel was over. "So yeah. If someone did all of that stuff, they probably wouldn't have any time to set up a trap and activate it."

"It might be useful to confirm properties about the knockout gas," Adam suggested. "We are all still uncertain about what exactly transpired in that bedroom, and who knocked out who. Knowing how the gas works may help matters.

"The canister sprays out gas ahead of it as you press the top. If you breath in even a small amount, you will instantly fall unconscious; as such the spray is designed to make sure none of the gas finds its way back to the one firing it, and it dissipates quickly once out in the air. After-effects include dizziness, nausea and difficulty thinking, but of course there is no way to really verify these symptoms if a possible victim claims them.

"Oh, and on another note Kyoya and Althea were definitely unconscious, one way or another. You would have been able to tell if they were faking it."

"I think it's worth considering that the killer might have known the memory loss was coming. For example, if I was the killer, I could have run up to the animal machine and grabbed the antenna, and everyone woulda thought I'd been there the whole time."

"I don't know if anyone really did knock themselves out but I think they would have had good reason to if they did, to cover for the other person also being unconscious.

"Also, I believe Eve already implied the killer planned to make use of the memory wipe. It does not seem likely Rose activated the device, and no-one else would have reason to with the exception of now trying to retroactively prevent her death. So there are only two possibilities: the killer activated the device in the past, or we activate the device later on today."
