Taylor pursed his lips and exhaled through his nose. "Let's see... 12:10 was the time the music started to get odd, right? Do you suppose that and Kyoya's murder are linked?"

He held a finger up. "Furthermore, at about 12:30-ish, we were all in the horror zone. Me, Althea, Eli, Evelyn, Nana, and Rose, and we found Skylar, Honda, and Annabella not long after arriving. Perhaps that's when Kyoya's body crashed through the roof?" he theorized, hopefully not grasping at straws. "But if that's the case... no one would have been able to push him off of there, since everyone was accounted for instead of Nicos, and he was trapped in the funhouse."

So that puts Kyoya's time of death between 12:30 and 13:30," Gawain summarised. "There's also the matter of the footprints to consider, but of course there were plenty made other than the three you pointed out. People left footprints as they moved to the zones they wanted to investigate, and Eli would have left footprints when he was doing his initial sweep of the area. So it's difficult to draw many conclusions from them."

"As I said before, if he was in there after 12:10, it would have been impossible for him to get out," Gawain said. "He would not have been able to open the doors until the manual shutdown was engaged, and it would have been impossible for him to activate that from inside the funhouse. No doors, windows or other possible exits showed signs of damage or being forced."

"Could anyone have done this, then?" Evelyn asked, clearly perplexed at this paradoxical problem. "After 12:30, we were all in some group or another...the only exceptions being Hoshiko, Kyoya and Nicos. None of whom could have physically done this. It couldn't have been during the investigation either, considering the blood we found was hidden over some snow... Unless it was covered up like I suggested previously. Still, I would have noticed someone getting stabbed in the winter zone. Eli too, for that matter."

"Not even once did I truly believe you would kill Hoshiko, Nana", Evelyn told solemnly. "I still didn't accept it even when you were the only option. I only moved over to this because we were making no progress on your sister's death."

"Kyoya was with Annabella up until 12:10, yet whoever activated the scrambler and took the cape was in the haunted mansion at around 11:55," Gawain said.

"It certainly is difficult to imagine why anyone would spontaneously kill Kyoya like that, though... Perhaps it would help to consider the murder itself? He was stabbed in the back rather than the front, and the sword used was probably originally held by the suit of armour to begin with. Judging by the blood, he died very close to said armour, too."

"If Kyoya were examining the armour, that would imply the killer took the sword from the armour he was staring at, Kyoya didn't turn around, and then he got stabbed in the back while still staring at the armour," Gawain said sceptically. "I do not see why the killer would have taken the sword in advance, either, as they would have had no way of knowing Kyoya would happen to go there at that time."
