Wesley was staring at his feet with shaking hands, clearly unable to look at anyone else. "I... am not Wesley Naught. I'm sure you've realised it by now. Wesley Naught is the name I've been using for around 20 years now, but before that I was..." He trailed off, trying to get his ragged breathing under control. "Jason Church.
"I haven't told anyone the full truth about myself. Not my parents, my friends, not even Iris. But after I.... k-killed Luka, I ran away, taking the name of my other best friend who had also died because of me. No-one really knew of the real Wesley Naught, his death was never reported, so it was... the perfect cover.
"That's the real me, lies on top of lies. It's what makes me a natural actor, I suppose" he concluded bitterly.

"One day, we went out to the field. The field with that combine harvester in it. I suppose I should add that this place we're in is my old home: 999 Castle Lane. We were exploring the forest and found that field. We liked to play pretend, that day was no different. Eventually we thought to swing right over the harvester's blades as the dramatic finale. But... something went wrong.
"The rope we were swinging from was too short. We were left hanging right over the machine's blades. And then... somehow, the rusted out, ancient machine roared to life. Wesley dropped a rock to test it - a piece of Blinking Slate, actually, carrying them is a family tradition I think - and it was cut clean in two. I'm... sure you can imagine where this is going.
"I realised one of us could push the other to safety, but I... hesitated. The rope was breaking, I'd fall if I stayed. Before I could steel myself, Wesley pushed me instead. I landed past the blades, but Wesley, he... He fell. He sacrificed himself for me, even though it was my idea, all because I was too cowardly to follow through with it."

I knocked at the window and ran off before they could see me, straight to Wesley's house. There I broke in, stole Wesley's personal information and fled. I don't think Hazel heard me over the rain; she was probably asleep anyway.
"Some plastic surgery was all it took to complete the script. I was now 'Wesley Naught', a runaway from Fox Harbour who wanted to enter Hollywood. My last shot at attaining any real happiness in my life. You all know how that turned out, though. Hazel's curse is really effective, I suppose, as well it perhaps should be."

He laughed for a bit longer—it was eerily the only noise in the room for some time. Eventually, he returned to his more ominous tone. “But it’s ok. Really. After all the shit that’s happened to you, I think you really are cursed. So maybe it was my own fault for getting to know you at all.” A slight smirk formed on Luka’s face. It seemed like he was going to laugh again, but he held it back. “Then again, I’m cursed too. Except my shitty life started the day I was born—maybe both of us are just doomed to lose. One way or another.”

His face clenched in terrible fear as he continued. "And I hate to break it to you, but I'm not the Luka you knew. I'm just some freak--I'm pretty sure the Luka you knew could bleed." He took his hand out of the pocket, the group now being able to get a much closer look at it. It was not dry blood coming from the cuts on his hand at all, but highly realistic material, almost like cotton. At a distance it could almost simulate a rivulet of blood, but it was no more real than a film prop.

"The backroom that was mentioned before is just a private section of the driveinstars forum. It's just a place for talking with some users I'm more close to. It used to be a pretty open thing all things considered, but then there was the house photo incident you want to know so badly about."
"The anti Iris sentiment was pretty strong in there. You already know about all the harassment, but there was a point where even I noticed things were escalating. Some people started coming up with a plan to threaten Iris. They were staking out her house and planning to take a picture of her sleeping, to put in her mailbox as an implied threat. We tried to talk some of them out of this, and we were really hoping they wouldn't really go through with this since we knew these people, but..."
She sighed. "You already know what happened. You just want a confession. Here it is: people in my group broke into Iris DuGrande's house and took a threatening photo of her. They sent a copy on the backroom to celebrate, I realized the Iris thing had spiraled way out of control, so I banned them and deleted the messages to wipe my hands of the whole business. There. That's the house photo incident. Are you happy now?"

Maximillion pirouetted until his arm indicated Jason "Jason is clearly a criminal of some form who will presumably turn himself in for what happened in the past and will hopefully apologise to Luka's parents following the events of this." he glanced sideways at 'Luka'. "Assuming that one of the parents isn't behind his somehow."
He continued pirouetting to Ember "My poor Ember tried her hardest to moderate those miscreants who maddeningly marauded into Iris' home to massacre her peace of mind." his face softened and he patted Ember on the head "You did your best, you aren't responsible for what happened back then."
He straightened up and looked down at the computer "Now then...if we are very much done with the horror and confessions and can agree to put this behind us until we are done. Perhaps we should proceed with the password that preceded this parley." He gestured a hand to the exit.

“W-Wait, hold on,” Vivienne turned to Max, looking slightly annoyed. “A criminal? According to Mr. Church’s order of events, Luka accompanied him of his own free will. He isn’t guilty of kidnapping, and he’s certainly not responsible for his breaks failing. I suppose he tampered with the scene and broke into Ms. Hawthorne’s house afterwards, but I still woildn’t brand him a criminal.”

Hearing Vivienne panic Maximillion looked at her with confusion. “You would not brand him a criminal? His actions led to the death of a young man. He may have stolen a vehicle in the process. He definitely broke into a house and stole the real Wesley Naughts identity. Then we have the issue of where a young man on the run would find the income for plastic surgery and the appropriate forgery of all the documents which in itself is illegal.” Maximillion paused for a breath “Finally...he never came forward about any of this...he effectively concealed his crime as I believe Luka was merely reported missing and was never found.” Maximillion shook his head “No...it may be a tragic circumstance and it shan’t be as dire as murder I imagine but Jason has definitely committed some felonies to get to where he is today.”
