UPDATE!!!!!!!!!
Here are some edits I made using the Name entering screen of Smash Bros,
edited it as it would be when a new challenger appears.
For the Smash attack I used an incomplete 3D phoenix Wright figure (I'm a 3D modeler :P)
and on the other shots of him attacking, even for his sprite with legs, I used the sprites
created by forum user: Yesi-chan. Enjoy. click on the spoiler tab to see the images.

Normal Special Move: "TAKE THAT!" - Evidence is thrown against the enemy (Like G&Ws bratswursts)
Smash Special Move: "OBJECTION!" - 'That finger is evil' / Can destroy shields (like Marth)
Down Special Move:"HOLD IT!" - Nick crushed his hands at the ground and harms every enemy nearby (Like DK)
Up Special Move: "ACK!" - Nick is shocked - he fells upwards back (Like Ness without the ball / and like every rescue jump)
ÜB3R-MOVE: "TRIAL!" - Tons of Udgey's hammers will hit the enemy

Note that the PW Logo is supposed to be his Character's Logo (Everyone has one, LOZ Characters, it's the TriForce, it's a Mushroom for SMB, it's also the SSB logo for SSB characters)

...Well...Umm... It's better than anything I can do in Flash.
It is interesting... The way it suddenly flashes onscreen... oh and the reason it DIDN'T work before, was becuase it was on a webpage. It has to be JUST the image file, or it wont work.

In Phoenix Wright's case, that'd just have to be Slam-Point-Shout: OBJECTION!
Slamming his desk launches enemy players into the air a few inches... and then the speedlines that appear as he objects will blast them all to the side. Ideally, this would give just barely enough thrust to push a moderately-damaged player off the platform (i.e. easy to recover from under most cases) and would essentially just give you a little bit of breathing room. After all, nearly every case starts off with Nick just trying to get more breathing room- it'd be appropriate for an Assist Trophy version to do the same for your character.

Though if Phoenix was in it, I'd like the idea of Edgey as a clone character. The Phoenix as a support trophy idea is cool too. (The whole system reminds me of koma in Jump Superstars...)

Also... I think the throwing evidence idea is great. You could do a G&W-type thing and throw a piece at random, and dependong on what it is, the more or less damage will be done. For example, a knife or spear will do loads, but a pass or sheet or newspaper clipping will do next to nothing. Good B move, methinks.
It'd be nice to see Fran, since she's the only main character with an actual weapon... though Manfred does have his taser of love. But having Manfred as a playable would be unfair. He'd just have to go "Objection!" and everyone else would just die.

The reason it's unlikely is that Phoenix Wright is not owned by the makers of Smash; he's owned by Capcom.
The makers of Smash (Nintendo, Hal Laboratories) own the rights to all the characters shown so far, except Snake. (Snake might be an exception because Hideo Kojima specifically approached Nintendo about including him.) Yes, this includes Dr. Wright.
Unless Capcom specifically wants Nick to be in the game, Nintendo would have to pay them a licensing fee to include Nick in a Nintendo-and-not-Capcom game. If that weren't the case, anyone could make and sell a Phoenix Wright game, giving Capcom no reward for their intellectual property.
And as for how some trophies would only be recognized by devoted gamers? I'm thinking R.O.B. the Robot, maybe Doki Doki Panic's characters, potentially Panel de Pon mascots, possibly Pokémon gym leaders, could be Kamek the Magikoopa, Paula/Jeff/Poo, Lolo, Rooks, Rick/Coo/Kine, Dr. Vector / Dr. Hector... If Nintendo or HAL owns a character, it will cost them nothing to include him or her into Smash.

The thing about licensing fees is this, though:
Would you prefer free advertising... or free money PLUS free advertising? It also requires more effort on the developer's part creating the wireframe/sprites, balancing issues, voice, animations (quite a lot of them if it's a playable character), hitboxes... And the developer sees little to no return for such an investment- it's advertising for a completely different company, even if there are no licensing fees involved.
Besides- Fire Emblem is made by Intelligent Systems, which is a subdivision of Nintendo. That's an example of Nintendo advertising their own games.

The Magatama
Throw this at an Opponent and they become "locked up" by Psyche locks.I'm still Deciding how Many Psyche Locks show up and for how long, But im guessing 2 options.
1.
Hold "A" (or whatever the Throw button is) to charge the Magatama up, depending on how long you charge it for more locks appear:
Throw straight away= 1 or 2
Charged but not fully charged = 3
Fully charged = 5
Each Lock holds for 3-5 seconds (depending on how damaged the opponant is) and only the person who threw the Magatama can attack he opponant

There are three Differant types of Magatama that fall on the field,Not charged,Dimmly Charged or Fully
charged. which goes Like this
Not charged = 1 or 2
Dimmly charged = 3
Fully charged = 5
Same as above Locks only last 3-5 seconds depending on how damaged the opponant is.
