X seems taken aback for a second when she is asked by Mei for her interpretation. She frowns for a moment, opens her mouth, and seems hesitant to say anything.

"According to Albert Blaketon's study, people can be represented by data. Cat wanted us to know that, and a little bit later the Cat was surprised by this voice talking through it, but this too is a part of the Cat's plot. It's just a part that the Cat's puppet was not aware of," she stops in the middle of her explanation, a knowing smile below her bandaged eyes. "I think Cat has a reason to make us believe in that theory."

Juanli's eyes lock on Suyin as she talks about Sunny. "Sister?! You KNEW?" She said in utter disbelief gripping her handbag tightly. "You ARE the reason we've been brought here aren't you! And I'm no kidnapper General Mao so mind your tongue!" she whirled to face Monk inadvertently knocking his little papercrafted figure off the balcony "And you are showing far too much interest in my little boy Mr Monk. "Hmmph," Juanli scoffs crushing the little papercrafted Monk figure in her hand. "Well I can't confirm who Sunny's parents are, his memories are fuzzy from before but yes...he is my adopted son." she folded her arms "And he was given to be by a man claiming to be Bao."

She looked up to the monitor to see how Sunny was doing. "Bao showed up at my door one day and just thrust the boy into my arms...I told them I couldn't afford a child but...we made do...and so I raised him as my own. I married no American Ambassador and I'm certainly not a kidnapper."

Monk's smile disappeared as he processed what Juanli said. "Dammit... so it was that simple all along. Y'know, I can believe that. I doubt you'd be the kinda person to just kidnap a child for no good reason. Can't even be mad with ya if you raised the boy like he was your own. Hell, at this point you'd know him better than his parents would." He spat out his cigarette. "All we can do is be angry that Bao stole the kid from his family at such a young age. Guy was just a security fella, huh? I doubt he'd do this for himself. He was probably gettin' hired by some other man. Somebody else orchestrated all this", he declared quite casually. "He obviously didn't care where the child went to, as demonstrated by him just givin' it to the lady over there. No... he probably just wanted something from our good ambassador. A ransom, perhaps? Who knows." He shook his head. "In any case, I'm satisfied with your answer."

As if nothing had happened, he changed subjects. "So, what're we gonna use this red envelope on? The bomb already has a good deal of time left. One of us should give the ol' Rooster some extra CDP, yeah? It's only fair."

The whole ordeal about Sunny and the ambassador clearly had Mei somewhat on edge. She was looking away from the discussion, at the very least. "Just give Fujisaki the coins already," Mei says, "If we can just... hurry that up, it'd be great."

She starts periodically tapping her right boot on the floor as she concludes that sentence.

This would make the news across the globe regardless. Yet this happened years before the war. Does the Sheep know who knew about this?"

X turns to face Monk, her head tilted, "My thought process is this. Perhaps the ambassador was extorted. The ambassador never got his child back. So, was the ambassador extorted to act in some conspiracy? Perhaps he died to save his child? Just a thought, I suppose."

"I have a feeling that both the father of the Dragon is an essential player on the stage of this game. It seems that Cat knows exactly why Sunny was kidnapped and was able to track down his location. It stands to reason that, if Bao worked with someone, we will be able to find the exact reason and method through the Cat's knowledge," X tilts her head to the moon (or the ceiling if we are in the wrong room for that). "Perhaps Cat intends for us to reason it out, like in one of their puzzle rooms."

She lets out a short, derisive breath, "Everyone here is a part of a different strategy. There is no uniting us under a single goal, as there is no room for teams in this game. Our leverage over Ox is our ability to interfere with his strategy. I am fine though with his decision, so I will not use that leverage."

The group gives each gift to their chosen recipients.

With all the red envelopes handed out, the players consider their next moves. However, they are interrupted by the distinctive sound of the monitor turning back on. Strings of green binary code swirl onto the screen, as heavy lines build a figure out of the darkness.

It’s a woman with cascading black hair in a flowing green dress. She stands behind the monitor, staring off to the side, a look of fear frozen on her face. Every few seconds, her image splits in pieces or loses color, as if she is connected to the world only by a tenuous thread.

“Ah, hello,” she says, turning her head to the group. “Can you all hear me? I think that other thing’s gone, so I can speak with you all for a while.”

She speaks with a different voice than Yang, but it is still clearly computerized. The emotion of her voice fails to match her face, making the act of listening to her vaguely uncomfortable.

“Does anyone know where I am? Or what I am, for that matter? It feels like I’m everywhere at once. I might be losing my mind.”

She turns entirely to the monitor, revealing a mutilated stump where her right arm used to be. She raises her other arm to adjust the extravagant ornament in her hair, revealing a bracelet on her wrist. It’s symbol is [蛇]—meaning Snake.

“I have the strange fear that I might not be human anymore.”

Fujisaki's jaw nearly drops as he stares at the screen, too distracted to even check his CDP with that epic eye scanner since he only has one hand.

Quickly he makes an attempt to compose himself and clears his throat. "How did you... How are you there? On the screen?" He asks her more questions, instead of answering any.

If the woman recognized Fujisaki, she gave no indication, other than perhaps a slight smile.
