The Halo series has a pretty deep story line and yes Bolt, I and alot of people I know really enjoy the Halo series plot, it has alot of back story and the books were very enjoyable to read (Fall of Reach was really well made).

EDIT: Actually, I have played Halo before but never got very far in the Story mode. It's mostly been the multi-player.
Never fear, Rufus! From what I've played I actually like Halo. It seems interesting and it didn't get critically acclaimed for nothing.
