The view of the office in the game isn't at quite the right angle to see where Mia died, it's just out of view. And besides that, Mia didn't exactly bleed all that much when she died, so there wouldn't have been enough left behind to cause a reaction.

I think it was near her desk, yeah... I really need to replay(and finish) that case again.
Neither Ema nor Phoenix clearly states whose blood that was, just that it likely came from a nosebleed...
