I'm not offended - it's not really my kink either and particularly when dubious or non consent is added into the mix. But there's a lot of it in fandom. Petrellicest in particular seems to pop up in all kinds of places

Anyways, since there was talk of homophobia, let me state that when I myself said I dislike Phoenix x Edgeworth, it definitely wasn't for those reasons! I'm all for it if it makes sense; however, with them, it just... didn't... to ME, that is. :D

I can safely say, however, that the first three just don't tug on even the slightest heartstrings, for me--and the last three have made vaguely nauseous when I tried to get through them:

Edgeworth/Franziska.
Von Karma/anyone.
Gant/anyone.
Hotti/anyone.
I can suspend disbelief long enough to read almost anything else, provided it's done well and there's something approaching a decent explanation for it in-fic.

I absolutely hate PxE .... hate it. It's just the obvious "OMG I LOVE YAOI/BL/WHATEVER, I WILL SHIP YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE CHILDHOOD FRIENDS AND OPPOSITES ATTRACT LAWL" pairing.
The only male character I see in PW being outright gay is Armstrong, but that's just my take on things. :D
I'm also not a big fan of Feenris. Iris is not to interesting of a character to me, and I don't see Phoenix and her continuing to have a strong bond like that might have had.
Those are the two most well-liked pairings that I don't like.

It just doesn't seem like there's any evidence of that. / seems a bit more realistic (particularly after I replayed Adrian's sections in light of that relationship). Especially at the end of T&T when Adrian says that she was glad to see Franziska again and Franziska taught her how to use a whip. HOWEVER! I do see this a bit one sided on Adrian's side. It seemed to come out of nowhere in the 3rd game. Even though it is supposedly canon, I really thought that it wasn't developed enough to be viable. If anything, I did see a number of / 
clues throughout the series, even in 3-5. In the end though, pairings are really the least important thing about the AA series to me. I don't think that they were something the designers put a lot of thought into developing.

I can't remember the name offhand, but there's a psychological condition where other children you know when you're under a certain age become hardwired into your brain as siblings. I don't mind the pairing, but there's got to be at least a bit of weirdness to it.I remain disappointed at the lack of femslash in this fandom. I can't think of any f/f pairings that would bother me, actually.

You know, I would really, really love it if we could list our disliked couples in this thread without having to postulize on why those that like it ship the couple. In the favorite couples thread, I wrote a lengthy essay on why I think Phoenix and Edgeworth have a unique and potentially romantic bond that isn't "LOL HAWT CHILDHOOD FRIENDS".
And when listing why Phoenix/Maya and Edgeworth/Franziska squick me, I managed to do so without boiling it down to "LOL P/M SHIPPERS JUST LIKE THE MAIN CHARACTERS HOOKED UP" and "E/F SHIPPERS MISTAKE SIBLING RELATIONSHIPS FOR ROMANCE", because for one thing that's wrong and for another, it's rude--regardless of whether you are homophobic or not.
