Emi sat down and sketched. Her eyes never even met the stage as people were called up to take their diplomas and wave to their friends and family. She wasn't drawing them so there was no need to look.

(Of course, I guess it's everyone's decision whether to go through with each character getting their diplomas or just skipping the individual handing-out of such.)

Emi got up when she heard her name and walked almost mechanically to the front. To anyone that didn't know her she looked bored out of her mind, maybe even a little stoned from the way her eyes remained dull and unfocused. A sharp whistle from the crowd caused her to look up into it. From the back Scott was smiling and waving. Behind him with their mother and other members of the family. It looked as if they had just walked in. To show her gratitude to her brother Emi put on a smile, which as usual just ended up making her look like a crazy person. The dean handing the diploma to her nearly jumped from his skin when she did it. Emi went back to her seat quietly and continued her interrupted sketch.

Chris walked up to get his diploma as his name was called. A couple of people on the stands whispered something to him while he was up, to which he responded by nodding. He came back to the seats, and sat down.
