Which is a bit weird since the pilot needs SOME kind of interface, even for a biological mecha, and it'd likely be electronic, I mean, heck, even us humans are controlled by electric impulses.

Sorry for totally not at all looking at ZGMFX10Amod00's scetch (that's a nice nick right there) while making this, I assure you that this is not arrogance from my side, I simply wanted to get my creative juices flowing (mmm juice) and work from virtually nothing.

Also sorry for smudgy messy lines, this is just a sketch, although as such it is overworked.

Anyhow, I'll look at ZGMFX's lines now and make a version 2, incorporating bits from his/her design that I like (I particularily like the shoulder part of that one.)

Also, if you think the wings look kind of meh, they're supposed to do an AWESOME TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE before shooting out awesome beamy wings, so yeah :D

Also, I have an idea that I think is GREAT and I'll attempt to draw it so that I have evidence to back that statement up with! (hello broken grammar!) Namely, that the spotter types of mecha would be transformable ones, turning into fighter-planes when needed. Why?

I imagine that spotter-type of mechas are smaller than regular ones (I mean, they're there to keep an eye on the scene and scouting, not deal MASSIVE DAMAGE, right?) and more speedy, so that they can maneuver in and out of danger as it fits. Also, being able to turn into a more streamlined shape would be ideal for battle inside of atmosphere (also, since gravity plays into the whole thing, I guess that most mechs can't stay airbourne at all times due to fuel restrictions, which also makes the fighter-plane shape an ideal one)

And yeah, I'll back that up with some awesome picture-proof.

Except for the fact that I have never to attempted to draw fighters before, but hey, REFERENCE, PRACTICE and COURAGE will do the trick! :D

Oh nice, well, that makes a lot of sense then, with the spotters.

And yeah, I know that the wings aren't technically wings, but I wanted to make the wing-beam-emitters a tag winglike as well, just to make the general design as a while feel a bit avian. Thus the high-heels kind of feet plus the little extensions on the sides, they're there to make the feet look talon-like. That's also why there's a huge beak on the head :D

I thought that part of the plot was going to be that Matt shot down Celeste when she flew between him and a target and he nearly does the same thing to Adrian both when they're being spotters.

sniff sniff boohoo! Anyway, I just got the greatest idea. Since Super Robot Wars has about the most intense mecha-fights EVER, making sprites of the mechas and doing machinima episodes with the fights, wouldn't that be just FAPPABLE!? Even for girls! Because girls like big robots! ..?

Anyways, I still need critique for the Huma so I know what the master wants me to work on :D :D

And MOST spotters are like that, yes. As a mercenary organization, they did something differently, and Celeste/Adrian were both spotters and rescuers for ejecting pilots.

Anyway, I've been bogged down, so I've not really done anything. (Yay, nursing drunk freinds. e_e) But eventually.... I'll make some decent sketches. I PROMISE. (Even if most of the artists on this project are WAY BETTOR than me. *coughJadcough*)

One additional note: as to what Franziska says about ears/horns - I liked the idea of Assassin changing appearance slightly depending on which A.I. was more in control. So Shoe = cat ears and Shelly = devil's horns.
