Hello Memories! It sure has been a while. Anyway, for those who remember it, you know the drill. Loose ended, fun, but serious-enough-to-function RPing is back! For those who are new to my game, Ema and Lana are taken. Make up your own character, or steal it from the game. Ema is investigator_ema and I am, obviously Lana.

Back in the day, this was, along with my "Prosecutor's Office", the longest running General RP on the site. Then I disappeared. Well, I'm back. Any style RP is permitted, I'm not one to make up rules. This takes place past all the Case 5 stuff.

Lana sat on the couch, in front of the blank TV. She sighed, she had nothing to do. She promised herself some vacation time, but it had been so long, she didn't know how to spend it. Ema was a school, Lewis, Bryce, and the others were at work. What to do...

Jibo, a long time friend of Ema's, is a mischeavous boy who often misses school and has done so today. Despite his personality he takes interest in Ema's scientific discoverys. He often refers to Lana as Ema's "mom", which annoys her.

He strolled in through the front door, as if he owned the place.
"Heya, Skye!" he yelled. "Is Ema almost home? I'm bored"

He noticed the man in the corner.
"Hey, who's that? A friend?" he asked.

Lana looked up from her daze and stared at AJ. "Great. The terror has arrived. Ema is on her way now, if I'm not mistaken." She then directed her attention to AJ, and stood up to half-hug him, half-shook his hand. "How are you? What brings you to town?" she said, not quite smiling, but not frowning either.

((Don't use the name Kit. Em's uses that too.))

Arxane stood behind the front door of Lana Skye's house. "Nice place," he found himself saying out loud. He began to wonder why he'd never been here before. He felt he knew Lana well enough, but wondered why he'd never been there.

To discuss work at the very least. After all, they practically worked together. Even though Arxane was only sixteen, he was a seasoned detective, a "child prodigy" so he'd heard them say. The term made him cringe (First of all, who's ever heard of an "Adult Prodigy"?), but he had to admit, he was good. His investigations went off without a hitch every time (or at least whenever Viola Allegro, his arch-rival, didn't show up).

"Allegro..." the thought made him grind his teeth for a second, but realizing he'd let his thoughts wander, he snapped his attention back on the house.

"I'm sure she'll be happy to see me," Arxane said reassuring himself. It was his first time giving anybody a surprise visit. He decided on Lana because, they'd met a few times, and Arxane felt that she was one of the few people he could trust in life. He just hoped he didn't make an idiot of himself or came off as awkward.

He loudly knocked on the door, secretly hoping nobody would answer. He knew deep down that somebody would, though...

Jibo lied down on her high-priced sofa as he waited, impatiently. He later heard the knock but dismissed it as Ema would always use her key.

Curious he peeked through a curtain to notice a man he'd never seen and went back to lie down.

Lana exited from her cousin's embrace to answer the door. She took the handle and pulled it back and paused for a minute. "Hm, you look familiar. Do I...know you?" Then, a few seconds later, her observency laid dormant because his face told the obvious story of awkwardness and being embarressed. "Just kidding!" she quickly and skillfully lied. "Great to see you. Come in."

He looked young, but the stress lines on his forhead told differently. "How've you been?"

"Oh, dammit! This was a bad idea!" Arxane thought as he attempted to appear calm. Why did he do this? He'd met Lana Skye three times, and the extent of their conversations were, "Here's that case file you needed." and occasionally some minor details of the case. This was a stupid idea... A very stupid idea.

He was sure she'd at least remember seeing him. There aren't very many 4'10" sixteen-year-old detectives.

"You don't need to make me feel better," he sighed. "It's Arxane, Miss Skye. Arxane Gilder III... Jr. ..." He tapped the ring on his left hand to give his hands something to do. "May said I was working too hard and needed to spend time with friends... Yours was the first name that came to mind. Sorry if I'm bothering you."

Ema decided to come in through the back door, because she saw a kid about her age at the front door, talking to Lana. She didn't want to interrupt anything.

When she started to unlock the back gate, her puppy, Kenny, began scratching at the door. She used her key and enter through the clean, spick-and-span kitchen. She's home. She walked into the living room.

"Great. AJ's here." He's the guy that likes to watch my expirements explode. He keeps coming back though he's the one that gets filthy. Then Lana kicks him out. Mmmm. I love my sister.

Jibo chuckled to himself. This guy's pathetic! Maybe I should help him out by embarrassing the Cheif. he thought. He later dismissed the idea, the sofa was comfortable and he didn't want to be thrown out by Lana again.

He then noticed Ema and blurted out "I'm bored! Let's make mess with the luminol or something!".

Jibo then thought to himself Hey that's actually a really good idea! He smiled and said to Lana "Hey Skye, we really should have a party! I'm sure you need the break! You could invite that lawyer who got you off the hook!" He didn't know any of her friends and avoided making a crack at her about it because he wanted something.

Lewis parked his car on the side of the road and got out. He walked around to the back of his car and knocked. "C'mon Amy! You said you wanted to come, now get of the car!"

He smiled when she opened the door and moaned, "Alright, I'm getting out." This was his sister, he thought to himself as he walked up to the door. He had a feeling she'd want to come along to see Lana and Ema.- it'd been nearly three weeks since they'd last seen them. He was dying to see Lana again, and he had wondered if Amy felt the same, so he called her. She decided to come along to get out of her homework.

Lewis noticed she was outside, talking to someone around Ema's age. He was a rather bit perplexed, but he shrugged it off. Hoping they weren't talking about something important, he spoke up when he was close enough to them. "Lana! I haven't seen you in, like, two weeks! What's up?"

Lana looked around at her house. It had been only two hours, and it was already packed. She didn't really mind. The days under Gant's control had been so dark and lonely, she'd enjoy any company.

"AJ, if you want some law books," she said with a small smile, "there are some in my bedroom. On the nightstand." After seeing his puzzled look, she decided to throw in some directions. "Down the hall. Door on the very end."

Then she gave her attention to Dantil. "Nice to see you again! It's been a while, hasn't it?" She sighed. "Sorry I haven't kept close contact."

Then to Lewis. With an actual, rare, tooth smile, she hugged him and Amy too. "I can't believe it's only been two weeks. It...feels like an eternity."

"You're a workaholic too, huh?" Arxane asked. "They should start a support group for people like Lana and I. Hell, then maybe May would stop making me run out and do all this crap." Arxane looked around. "No offense! It's great meeting you Dantil! The cat ears kinda weirded me out for a bit, but... No! I just... really... like working..." Arxane was fully aware of how weird he sounded.

"Chalk that one up on the loser list..." Arxane sighed deeply and closed his eyes.

"Got anything to drink?" Arxane asked Lana. "Something without sodium, if possible."

Chinese Infantry stumbled towards the front door. He was wearing a Cobalt colored vest, white t-shirt and camo pants, which showed signs of gunshot wounds. He knocked on the front door, while clutching his chest at the same time. "HELLO! I NEED HELP, I'VE BEEN SHOT!"

"Dantil, please stand back," Arxane said with a sudden seriousness. "If gang members are involved, this is where I come in." Arxane pulled a gun out from under his coat. "Don't panic, this is just in case there's trouble," Arxane said.

The 4'10" detective slowly made his way to the door and looked out the peephole. "He's alone... good..." Arxane slowly opened the door.

"We can help you, come in," Arxane said. "You'd better be telling the truth about this... I don't want any trouble, so get in here fast."

Chinese Infantry limped in. "I'm telling the truth. Though to be honest, it's kind of my fault. I pulled a few jobs for a Triad organization, and it turns out the guys that got me didn't like it. When I got out of the car, they yelled "Any friend of the Triads ain't a friend of us, pendejo!" I have no idea what gang they were from, but they are nothing but bad news." he noticed Arxane had a gun. "Hmm, I left my AK by my car so I could move faster, but I still got a backup strap in case these bastards show up" He said as he sat up against the wall, pulling out a Desert Eagle handgun.

"Desert Eagle, huh?" Arxane said identifying Chinese Infantry's gun. "East meets west, it looks like." Arxane pointed to his gun. "Mine's a Makarov."

Arxane turned to Dantil. "I think I like this guy already," he said.

He turned back to Chinese Infantry. "You mentioned Triad. How've they been doing? What were you doing for them?"

This was normal at the Skye's it seemed. Without a word Lana slipped into the bathroom and brought out a serious First Aid Kit. "I'm guessing you'd rather the cops not know?" She shook her head. "I won't tell if you won't, but you need some serious medical attention." she said, cleaning up his wound gently, and watching the mobster wince in pain.
