Geeze, I'm beginning to think I'm the only one who lives 'The Gavinners'. xD
Also, I really feel that the name Kristopher fits the character, judging from the appearance. (I'm choosing not to play AJ). Just putting that out there. :<

If I had ANY musical talent (Which I don't, aside from Guitar Hero. -shot-), I'd totally make a band called the Gavineers. Maybe re-grow my hair out to wear it drill-styled? ;D

I'm fine with the names. Might as well be, since those are the names I'll be seeing on them when I'm playing. There's only two so far that I'm having a hard time getting used to, Wocky because... well, obvious reasons... I just hope they have an explanation, but I think they will... and Daryan just because I've gotten so used to talking about him with his Japanese name, and I do talk about him a lot. But if this is anything like the Pokemon fandom, we'll get used to the names eventually, even many of the people complaining about them now.

I like most of the names, but as far as the Gavineers and the last name of "Justice," I think Capcom could have done a better job... I know Apollo's a lawyer, but they don't have to give him a last name that directly says that, even if you know nothing about him... and as for the Gavineers, the way my friend pronounces it, it reminds me of pirates... :nick:

I'm actually fairly keen on a lot of them. Apollo Justice pissed me off at first, but he's grown on me. When I first heard Klavier, I "wtf"ed, but I also got used to it. Wocky's gonna take me a while, though...It's quite silly.

Whenever I hear the name Apollo it always reminds me of Apollo Creed from the Rocky films for some reason. His surname 'Justice' sounds kinda cheesy though (especially in that line from the first case - "I guess 'Justice' doesn't start small").

None of the other names sound too bad, except from Wocky of course! (What kind of a name is that to give to a child?)

If the rest of the characters have puns, I hope they are clear to see - I'm still trying to work out if Ron/Desiree DeLite is supposed to be a pun or not!

Apparently, translated names are Serious Business. In a game series that's had names like Furio Tigre and Dr. Hotti, I'm supposed to get worked up about Apollo Justice?

Now why the hell should I be angry about Kristoph and Klavier? One sounds refined with a sharp edge, one sounds badass and rock-like.

Trucy sounds like a very good localization to me: a cute name that includes the idea of 'truth' in it.

Wocky. Meh. As far as I can tell, the point is that he acts absurdly tough, so perhaps it was chosen for Boy Named Sue-like effect.

Justice is the main issue IMO. The "Guy" in Guy Eldoon is a little weird, but it's okay.

Maybe I just pronounce the band name a better way than I'm supposed to, but it doesn't bother me.

Maybe the reason I don't have a problem is with Gavinners is because I'm most likely pronouncing it wrong in my mind. I pronounce the "ners" part like the end of "pioneers"....>_> I like how that sounds.

They're okay. Apollo Justice is, though, by far the cheesiest, crappiest name ever even conceptualized.
Trucy and Minuki... They're both passable, I suppose. Because in Japanese, you can have different kanji for the same name. Minuki means 'to see through', while Trucy... I believe has no symbolism. But Dahlia's japanese name was pure genius.
Chinami, which usually is written "a thousand waves", in this game, I believe is written with a different kanji. 血波, means 'wave of blood'.

THat was probably the most useless post ever posted. I apologize.

kristoph: NOTHING WRONG AT ALL!!!
wocky: me and my bro talk about AJ all the time, so once u say wocky kitaki like, 10 times a day, it gets funny
trucy: eh? whats the deal? its a pun, but cleverly thought out (NOT)
apollo: ever since i saw that on thread(movies that need some justice or something) i think of him as A-POL-LO! its funnier that way. and i like how machi calls him "yoostice" so i call him A-POL-LO yoostice!
machi: i love machi's name with my whole heart. but, i just really like the name machi (btw, i say it "MAHK-ee" is that wright?)
i do, however hate alita's name.

Shadi Smith: Made of WIN! i was more concerned about Shadi Enigmar. :beef:
And i like the Gramarye names. Magnifi was the cooliest.
I didn't like Vera's. Drew's was kewl, tho.

olga orly's name was awsum.
i liked the kitakis.
