Perhaps there should be a battle before the destruction of the Kurain. That way, Mia can see Phoenix in action and see that he has great potential as a pilot. The battle would be nothing big though, probably a minor skirmish against Payne.
I also really like Elysium for the name of the Federation home planet, but I suppose that's old news by now.
On the cast of case 2-3: I like then as mechanics organization, and I kind of imagine them as the people who always coincidentally cross paths with the main characters, but who the main characters kind of hate. Of course, circumstances always force the main cast to rely on them for repairs. They're sort of the "
Not you guys again!" group. (I was not fond of them...

Story as to what happened:
1. I decided I didn't like the colour scheme (so much for complementary colours), so I changed it to blue and yellow.
2. Then I read a suggestion, and changed it to just plain old black and white...
3. While looking at the pages, I noticed that the page's filesize was BIGGER than before. Response: Panic.
4. Completely recreate the page from scratch, without any fancy colour changes, and upload the replacement. Done. It was smaller.

Maybe I was. However, I've heard too many horror stories involving webspace, so I prefer to err on the side of caution... even if it means freaking out over minute differences in filesize.
I have to admit, though, I haven't been this busy in quite a long time! Laid-back nature aside, it's good that I can put my efforts into something worthwhile.

I'm not really sure about this one, actually. Just popped out of my head.
This one's for the Brynhildr. Maybe.
After going after some dead ends with the Valkyrie Profile-style helmets and a sort of a siren's visage, I was trying to find some other thing to put on it. I was contemplating a rose because of the thorns I could put on it (or is it those and rorns, aha).
And then I listed to some VP music and I was like "Oh. Lilies. Lily of the Valley."
And there you have it. (Yes, that white thing is something trying to be a lily D: )
Kinda forgot the color scheme for the Brynhildr so I made it up as I went, ahaha.
I recalled it being something 'like her ordinary suit', so I tried to stick to white, black, and green (not the same green, but oh well)Does it work? Yes? No?

In other news, Kwoiffei (now speaking in third person) recently realised that she wouldn't mind doing a "credits page", although she is aware that she'd most likely need permission first. @Urby. I really like that logo for the Brynhildr. It looks like just the thing Adrian would paint on it. Maybe she gets the idea because Franziska *gasp* has one 'girly' thing in her cabin and it's a Lily of the Valley plant she keeps?
I've been thinking about this for the past couple of days, and have come up with a few ideas myself.
For one thing, I have this awesome scene in mind where after it becomes apparent to everyone on board the Badger exactly how corrupt the Saiban Federation is and how far the sheer scope of High Admiral Gant's manipulations spreed. Edgeworth gets on the intercom and makes this GREAT BIG MOVING TURNING POINT SPEECH (With the background music being Great Revival of course.)
In this speech he tells them that in his good conscious, he can no longer serve the Saiban Federation and is defecting to the Fusegi Alliance. And he wants everyone to make they're own choice about what they want to do, because he won't force anyone to come with him. He holds no hard feelings whatever people choose. And if he has to, he says, he will go alone and resign leadership of the Badger.
Of course, later, when he's going down to the hanger to check over the Mitsurugi, to make sure everything is in working order in case he really does have to leave alone--lo, and behold he runs into Franziska, Gunshoe, the pilots, and the other Division heads. They've done they're soul-searching and have their answer, which they tell him in no uncertain terms...

Edgeworth blinked again, but the apparitions didn't disappear. Franziska and Gumshoe were still standing there at the forefront of so many others in the hanger. What they had said wasn't a dream. All--all had chosen to come with him. It was a strange feeling--especially for him, but he could feel the pride, mixed with awe and joy working it's way through him.
"So your not going to let me leave?" he asked, feeling the beginnings of an actual smile.
"Do you think we'd very well let the head of this ship try and desert his crew?" Franziska snorted, her eyes burning with determined fire.

Earlier in the thread we agreed that SHOE is special because he's an animal-based AI, which are simpler and take less space than humanoid ones. They can putter around outside the mecha they're supposed to be in.
Thus you have the (apparently very adorable) SHOE bauble that I've been doodling everywhere.

Awww... that's cute. I must admit I wasn't expecting SHOE's... orbit floaty things... (forgive me, I forgot what they're called) to be that colour, but it works well.
Meanwhile, on my end... I've managed to come up with a number of things regarding the idea I had. To summarise what it was: it was basically a rumour surrounding Edgeworth and a particular battle he won.
The fight took place in or near the atmosphere of a gas giant known as Muspel. Muspel is one of a small handful of gas giants in the solar system that Gyakuten MECHA takes place in. By "small handful", I mean any number between two and four... wait! I mean... nevermind.
Muspel has a negative reputation attached to it... its atmosphere is a very dangerous place to fight in. Because it's a gas giant, strong winds and storms can and do occur, but the real danger lies in what makes up said atmosphere - it contains dangerous chemicals. These chemicals essentially mean that if you're out of a mecha, and you have no life support, then you're going to die a very horrible death.
Apparently these chemicals can also affect the mechas themselves. Long story short: only an idiot would choose to have a long fight there.
Now, the rumour goes that Edgeworth faced off against multiple Fusegi mechas at once, and somehow defeated them single-handedly. Of course, the rumour - and all variants of it - exaggerate how many Fusegi pilots there were, but one thing remains constant: the fact that it apparently took place in Muspel's atmosphere...
And that's basically what I've thought of. I'm not sure how Muspel would be relevant to the main storyline, but the rumour... well, I wouldn't be surprised if it was mentioned at least once. That, and Muspel almost definitely has moons.
And of course, like always, Muspel's name came from mythology - from Muspelheim, home of the Fire Giants who burnt everything to the ground in Ragnarok.

Well, there's the assault on the alliance base that Miles joins to fend off, it might happen before then, but otherwise the concept is the same.

Kwoffei (#4) - That works really well. If nothing else, it's another planet to set this in, and backstory we can reference (when we want to make Edgey seem even more BADASS >:D). I really like that a lot.
I'm afraid i don't have quite all that much for you guys, i've been thinking and mulling some stuff over but nothing concrete as of yet. We HAVE finalized concepts for Manfred's Absolute and his Lightning Gun weapon...
Also, just a little bit of fleshing out--Larry/Nick/Miles' home world is Calypso, the third moon of the planet Odyssey, which though not quite a "water world" has a LOT of water on its surface with only a few small island/continents.
