Well. I saw all these comics and things when I was looking around the internet all about Phoenix Wright, and all these internet communities were talking about it, so I decided to get it.

Back when there was a handful of games for the DS, Phoenix Wright looked like an awesome one. I seem to remember seeing it on GameSpot or in EGM or 4chan or something, and thinking it was the coolest game ever - so I hunted for it. And let me tell you, finding a copy was not easy back then, but I tried and was eventually rewarded; and I find myself here today.

Last Thanksgiving, my sister and her husband came up to visit. All three of us get along but my sister is not much of a gamer. Anyway, I had heard of the Phoenix Wright series, but really did not think much of it. However, I wanted to try it to see how it was. Instantly hooked. My Bro-in-Law let me borrow it til Christmas (BTW this was the second Phoenix Wright). Since then I have been trying to catch up. It was really weird playing the Justice for All first and then the first PW second, but now I am on track with T&T. That is my story.

I'll sum it up this way...

1. Nintendo Power article on the first game.. and second game, it looked interesting to me but I wasn't crazy over it at that time.
2. Whist browsing through Rare Witch Project forums (a Rareware forum), someone threw an objection flash into my face. I loved the Objection Site and started to play around with it.

3. My friend Sonictails1 got obsessed with PW (I had introduced him to the Objection site). Eventually he introduced me a little more to the series and court-records.net. And ever since I was introduced by my friend and found my way here, I became obsessive and had to get the games.

My friend Mog was playing it at a sleepover, and being the nosy whore I am, I watched her play the Mask*DeMasque case. I saw Ron and was like OMFG WHO IS THAT HE'S SO HOT. And she was like 'um. he's a total fag.' and I'm like I NOTICED. I WANNA GET THIS GAME NOW.

And I did 8D I got T+T first, then JFA. I still don't have AA. D: *backwurdssssss*

I believe I first heard about it on someone's blog back when it was exclusive to the GBA. I thought nothing of it, as I thought it would end up being one of many kooky, yet ingenious games that would never make it out of Japan.

Then my memories resurfaced when it was announced that it would be available for the DS, but I couldn't afford one at the time. I waited and waited until the day I could afford one, so I could play it. Finally, I was able to afford a DS around the time the DS Lite came to North America. So I picked up my new, shiny DS Lite, but unfortunately, no Phoenix Wright. Despite its large fanbase, my town's population has no appreciation for such games, it's all nothing but GTA and Halo (not that I have anything against them, mind you). So, as a result, Phoenix Wright was hard to find where I live.

Then when Justice For All came out, every store was surprisingly well stocked. But I was fully aware that it's important to play the games in chronological order, so I left it unopened until I finally found the first game on July last year. From there I began a major Phoenix Wright cram session, as I had missed out on this wonderful game for nearly two years.

Crap, I went too far with the topic.

Somebody on GaiaOnline went around cosplaying Phoenix and using his animations in every one of his posts. So then I got curious as to what it was and looked it up on Wikipedia. Then somehow I wandered into CR, and I knew I had to buy the games. I got JFA first because they were out of the first game, and then I went later and found a used copy of it. Then I awaited the T&T game and got it. Now I'm waiting for Apollo Justice.

My favorite thing about PW is the characters. They are really charming. I even like the ones who turn out to be guilty in the end!

The Hardcore gaming 101 site ran a big article about the PW/GS series back in 2006, after taking a look at what the games were all about I decided right then and there I needed to track down the first one, and give it a shot.

I'm not entirely sure anymore, but I think it must have been a combination of idle message board chatter talking about how it was a must-have DS game and seeing it at the store. I made a mental note to pick it up should I ever actually own a DS.

Then my mother bought one for me the Christmas before last (actually, it was New Year's, she was on vacation Christmas) so the first thing I did was head over to the store to pick it up along with Trauma Center (another must-have, I'd heard) and, well, that's the end of the story.

I think Capcom must have sent most of their copies of AA my way; I keep hearing everyone saying they can't find it but we have a stockpile here. :yuusaku:

I received one of Nintendo Power's preview dvds with trailers and things on it, and one of them was for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. The idea of a courtroom drama combined with silly anime cliches ("Phoenix, believe in your client!!") sounded hilarious, so I promised myself I'd get it when it came out. As it turned out, I ended up buying Trace Memory instead (was I crazy?) which I did enjoy, but I didn't end up getting Phoenix Wright until a year later when it started having re-releases. The good thing about that is I didn't have to wait very long for Justice For All. :>

Well... my idiot ex bought a DS a couple of years ago, for Nintendogs of all things... (this is funny because the oaf prided himself on his masculinity :karma: )

He ended up not being able to take care of the fake puppy, so I became in charge of that.

I wanted something else to play, and I saw Phoenix Wright at the local Gamestop. Having heard some of the positive feedback on it, and being a fan of the old point-and-click adventure games, I bought it, and was met with a remark to the effect of (insert southern accent here) "goddammit I hate lawyers".

We have since parted ways, and I never have returned that DS. :phoenix:

I went to GameFAQs.com because I needed some help with the mission mode on Mario Kart DS. As I was looking at the list of Top 10 FAQ's for the DS I noticed the game Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on the list. I clicked the link and started looking at a walkthrough. After I'd read the whole thing, I decided that this game sounded good and it sort of went on from there.

It was a chance encounter with fate.
I saw it in an EB Game's thing which had 10 dollars off. I thought nothing of it until I saw it in my friends DS. I played about the first 10 minutes of 1.2. Then Me and my firnd played it periodically over the next 3 months. It wasn't until October after many Phoenix Wrong's and a birthday that I got JFA for my birthday. A week or so later I got the first one to do all the parts I had missed.

So overall, it took about 6 months to fully develope.

Let's see.

1) After Secondary school was over, We had 3 months of absolutely nothing to do. (This was back in end-2006)

2) I discovered Pokemon Diamond and Pearl's soon-to-be existence. I did not have a DS then.

3) I decided to get off my ass and go work for some monies to buy a DS. I had nothing else to do anyways. (Also, Pogeymans <3)

4) Mission accomplished, DS obtained.

5) Discovered the "VERY BAD THING THAT BEGINS WITH AN 'R' AND ENDS WITH AN 'M'". Also found out about R4DS.

6) Was looking online for some cool games, and begin to take notice of this spiky-haired bugger shoving his finger in people's faces who people kept posting sprites of.

And the rest, as they say, is history. ^^;

My friend kept linking me to things from the Objection site, and I was like "What the hell?" for a few months, till I looked it up. And then played the game like...two years later. Ahahaha. Not sure why I held out for so long...And I really wanted to NOT like Phoenix Wright. But...uh...that didn't work.

I read a preview about it in Gamesmaster Magazine. Initially I wanted Trauma Center: UTK more, but when I was getting my DS Lite, I ended up getting AA for it instead seeing as it was available in a package. And the rest they say, is history.

I ended up getting Trauma Center a few weeks later. I hated it once I reached Chapter 3.

My first experience with PW was in an EGM mag. EGM mentioned it in their International Games section, and IIRC they said that it probably wouldn't be released here, so I shrugged it off. Fast forward to a few years later, and EGM reviews the first AA game for the DS...it got good scores, but I still shrugged it off. It wasn't until browsing GameFAQs that I saw the PW board apart of the top 10 for quite so I got curious...read about it on the boards, and decided to give it a try...been hooked since.

Girlfriend's younger brother left his DS at home one night while he was out. She was on the computer, I was bored, I grabbed the DS. I think it took me two or two and a half hours to get through the first two cases, and then had to go out and get myself a copy. Fortunately, JFA was either out, or coming out soon (can't exactly remember the timing) so I didn't have to wait too terribly long to get my next fix.

My boyfriend's ex gave him the game, because she didn't like it. So, my boyfriend brought up his DS when he came to visit, and I played his DS for a bit - and I randomly picked PW to play. I loved it. It was so awesome. =D

I read about it in magazines, websites and such and, to be honest, I wasn't too interested. I then saw footage from JFA on a DVD that I got free with a magazine and suddenly I was a bit intersted, but I had no intention of buying it. However, a couple of months later I saw AA in Woolworths for £20. As luck would have it, I had £20 on me at the time! I bought it and never looked back...

I heard of it over the Internet about...a year or so ago, I think? I didn't have a DS then and didn't plan on getting one, so I left the fandom alone. I *did* tell my friend about it, though.

One of my other classmates had the game, though, so it was kinda funny to see her use icons of the characters and stuff. I remember on a field trip she was playing it and my friend and I immediately started screaming, "OBJECTION!" at each other.

Eventually my friend got the first game, and she let me borrow it when she was done. (She let me borrow the DS itself, too.) I later got my DS and the next two games for Christmas, and here I am. :D

I first saw it in Nintendo Power. I didn't think to much of it. Later I saw it at Gamestop. My sister wanted to try it so I got it. She was visiting family in another state. When I called her to tell her I got it for her she told me she found a copy there. Oops!
So I decided to keep the game. This was right before JFA came out. Let's just say I had a pre-order shortly after.

I remember hearing about Phoenix Wright several times while I was surfing the net, and everyone kept giving good comments about it, so I thought to myself that I'd get this game when I had the chance.

I got "Justice For All" first, and bought "Trials and Tribulations" soon after. I managed to find the first Ace Attorney after scavenging around for it. :edgy:

Now I am eagerly awaiting the release of Apollo Justice. :odoroki:

First time I saw this was when my friend was playing it at uni, while me and some other friends were playing bball. I would go up to him to see what he was playing. I saw him in the first case of the first game and he was telling me about it.
I was hooked and then I think around 3 months after I finally had enough money for the DS and the games.

Oooh, this takes me back. I discovered Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney during my hilariously bad year at my ex-uni; about a year ago at this point. The original game had been out for some time, and I was vaguely aware of it but not paying much attention to it. Because my course was (and hopefully will be again) Computer Games Technology, I was making a point of risking games I'd not normally buy to broaden my horizons and I happened to see a new copy sitting on the shelf for £30.

"Ah, what the hell." *buy*

Best impulse purchase ever. Phoenix Wright was the first nail in the coffin of my university experience; World of Warcraft the last. I don't regret getting obsessed with either of them for a second, nor the fact that each and every single one of the Ace Attorney games has managed to keep me awake until 5am when I was normally going to bed at 12-1. Needless to say I got up early just to buy JFA on its release day.

It just so happens that there's an import games shop locally, so whilst the official release date is as yet undecided in the UK, one way or another I will have Apollo Justice by early March and I've already cleared T&T three times (and only paid £30 for an import copy; not bad for declared goods :P) - which I happened to get the last copy they had in stock of the day before my 20th birthday :D - staying up until 5:30am during my first 3-5 playthrough. Note to self: bump that up to four or five playthroughs before AJ comes out.
Does we even do these things anymore?

Well, you see, a long time ago one of my sister's friends was at 4Chan and she knew a lot about PW, but had never played it. She talked about it often though, making fun of Edgeworth's gayness. Me, being obsessed with yaoi adn stuff, was all like "omg i liek <3 edgey." So then my sis got the first game for Christmas, and we fell in love with it, and now we have new favorites, not Edgey-poo.. It's fabulous. :pshhh:

Hmm... I must have heard about it ages ago when it first came out over here, but for some reason it just took me a long time to get it. Er... a really long time. It was always something I was "planning to get at some point in the future". I didn't realize then that it was a series or I probably would have gotten it sooner (I... like series...).

Cut to last August when a friend of mine decided that he would trade in a bunch of his old games to Gamestop for points to get new ones. He really wanted Pokemon Pearl and he bought something else and then he just had enough for one more DS game. So... he happened to choose PW. He told me he'd gotten it and I asked to play it when he finished.

Then at the beginning of September I went to his house and played the first case... and I was hooked. I went on to play the rest of the first game and bought JFA. I also bought T&T when it came out which he then borrowed from ME. Heh. I seem to have surpassed him in terms of PW fanboyism.

I followed the yellow-brick road.

Actually, Balrog was the one who first introduced me to the game. He said it was awesome, he sent me an MP3 of Investigation~Cornered, and then I was instantly hooked. Cornered has been my favourite piece ever since. He then lent me his copy of the first game, but I played it so quickly, I forgot how it went. Then a few months later I got my own copy.

Well, in April last year I got a DS for the sole purpose of getting Pokémon Diamond and Pearl the week they came out. [to be presice, I got them the day AFTER they came out.] *obsessed Pokémon fangirl over here*

Then a few months later, about November actually, I wanted some other games and looked through the "Request me a DS game" threads all over a forum I went to. Every single one of them had someone suggest Phoenix Wright, and it was the ONLY game that was suggested in all of the threads.

I had heard of the game of course, as I'm a fan of Psyguy's comics [and there was a few PW jokes in his comics... can't remember which ones though :p]

So I was convinced: I should probably get this game.
