Aser moved away from the exit as Gant left - he then watched Phoenix leave. His palm made connection with his face. "What did you do, Edgeworth?" he asked the man in the cravat, adopting a stern glare to face him with. "Oh, just get in the car so you get to the hospital ASAP."

"Friendship is the only thing keeping me from punching him in the face, Ms. Halo." Phoenix said as politely as he could muster, which wasn't much at the moment. He forced himself to calm by taking in a breath and letting it out as a sigh. "But you're right. I'm just afraid I don't have any patience left in me today." He added sadly.

Draco was so relieved when Gant left, he heard very little of Edgeworth's argument with Wright until the very end when Wright lost it and stormed right out of the premise. He waited a few moments before he took off after Wright. "Mr. Wright, I understand that you've had a long day. So please, leave Mr. Edgeworth in our care. I'll personally make sure that he's taken care of." He turned back to Edgeworth and grabbed him by the arm. "Mr. Edgeworth, we'll take you to the hospital now, so follow me." He lead the attorney like a child out of the building and into his police car. Making sure he's secured, he waited for the others to get to their rides.

Miles was easily led since Nick's outburst had left him rather stunned.

Nick wasn't entirely sure he wanted to leave Miles alone, but his sanity was insisting otherwise. He checked his watch to see if enough time had passed to take something for his head ache. It hadn't.
"Hmmm." He grumbled softly and stuffed his hands into his pockets. He was still wearing his suit from the meeting. In his hurry through his apartment he hadn't bothered to change. He pulled off his tie by the knot and stuffed it into his pocket.

Mia walked up next to Phoenix after Draco took Miles out of the building. 'I'll go over to the hospital tomorrow to get that list, so...do you want to go grab something to eat? We kind of passed over lunch because of that whole drunken Miles debacle..."

"Lunch?" Nick blinked at her. He'd wondered about that lurching in his stomach, but had been too busy to piece together just what the problem might have been. It would also explain the headache. "Right. There's some pizza left over." He mentioned. "Or did you want something different?" Crummy as he felt at the moment he was doing his best to sound chipper. He thought he was doing a good job of it.

Mia smiled at him. "Well, I didn't have anything in particular in mind, but hanging around your apartment probably isn't going to help your mood. I'll pay, so any place in particular you want to head over to?"

Drat! His incredible acting skills were once again seen through!
"Not really." He admitted. "Usually I just walk until there's somewhere to eat. I'm not really picky as long as it doesn't cost too much." He shrugged. "I can pay for myself though." He added. "It was supposed to be a victory lunch, remember?" The smile was still on his face, but it seemed to look a little more genuine this time. It didn't last long when his phone went off. "Yes, hello?" He said once he had it to his ear. "I'm not really in the mood for this, Larry." He pinched the bridge of his nose and pulled the phone away when the screaming commenced. He snapped the phone shut and was about to stuff it into his pocket when it started to ring again. He just shut it off entirely. "I'm going to pay for that when he gets back." Nick sighed, but was smiling nonetheless.

Mia raised an eyebrow quzzically at the last statement, but chose not to pursue it. It wasn't the time. "If you're going to insist, Phoenix, I don't mind going dutch. I know a little noodle place that's close by. The food is good and it's fairly quiet and cheap."

"Noodles work." Nick replied.

The walk was indeed a short one, much to Nick's dismay. He found walking aimlessly helped clear his head, and it certainly needed some clearing after the day he'd had. Still, no point in letting it drag him down. He was in good company, and was about to have some good food, and would be getting in good money soon. With those things in mind his sunny disposition was quite a bit more realistic. He even opened the door for Mia when they reached the building.
"After you." He bowed.

Mia smirked a little. "Thank you, Phoenix." She put a hand lightly on his should before stepping inside. The Noodle place was a rather small shop, consisting of three tables running along one wall and a counter enclosing the kitchen. There were only a couple of people sitting at the counter, but other than that it was empty. The only noise came out of the kitchen area, and it was muted by the door between it and the exterior of the restaurant.

"I wonder if they have pork ramen." Nick mused right before perusing the menu. This was more a disguise for his thought process than an actual inquiry. He liked to take the moments people usually used to decide on an order to think on something else entirely. It was his own strange game he'd come up with when he had to wait on Miles and Larry to decide what they wanted. Something random was always the most fun. He wondered briefly if tangerines were in season while Mia ordered.

Mia's eyes flicked over the menu. "They do actually, it's pretty good." She gestured to the man who'd just walked out of the kitchen, indicating she was ready to order. As he approached, she smiled at him. "I'd like to get a bowl of chicken udon." She turned to Phoenix. "What'll you have, Phoenix?"

The key to the game was to seamlessly order without looking or sounding as if you'd zoned out.
"Pork ramen." He said while still looking up at the menu. He'd gotten pretty good at it, really. "And a side bowl of wasabi." He added. "Oh, and ginger." He added again. "And do you have chopsticks?" The man nodded. "A set of those too, then." Nick smiled. "Thanks."

Draco helped Edgeworth into the hospital, checking in at the front desk. Th boy had been unusually quite during the drive. Draco thinks it was because of Mr. Wright's outburst. He'd hope Edgeworth would get through this. "Alright, Mr. Edgeworth, he stated, helping him into a chair. "I'll stay here until your good enough to go." Incidently, he also wanted to check up on that brute he took down back at the appartment. More than likely he was still in opperation. Moments went by in silence.

Time passed as it was known to do. When Miles started to regain his sense of reality he was once again in a hospital bed. He was not at all happy about this.
"I thought I just got out of here." He grumbled and got up. The pulled the IV from his arm and was putting on a jacket when a nurse came in.
"Sir, you shouldn't be getting up just yet." She informed him as nicely as she could.
"I'm not wasting another day trapped in a bed." Miles informed her coldly.
"The doctor said-"
"Will it kill me to leave?" Miles interrupted her. She was startled by the question.
"What?"
"Will...it...kill me?" He repeated the question slowly.
"No, sir."
"Then I see no point in staying here. Excuse me." He brushed past her and walked from the room.

Meanwhile the brute was sitting in his own hospital bed calmly reading a book.

Meanwhile again Phoenix was enjoying his pork ramen.

"It's good you've made such a recovery," Draco said to the brute, leaning against the doorway. He glanced into the hall, making sure no one was watching, then shut and locked the door. "Most idiots who drew there weapon against me usually ended up dead. Now," he pulled a chair up by the brutes bed, his cold eyes staring into his face. "Let's you and me have a little chat, how about it?"

The brute looked up from his book, offered the officer a polite smile, and slipped a bookmark in to save his page when he closed it.
"No problem." His voice sounded like he'd taken sandpaper to his esophagus, but there was still a notable British accent in it. "Just keep in mind that I'm rather fond of living, so there might be some questions that I can't answer for you."

"Actually, I'm not here to ask you questions," Draco replied in a casual voice. "I'm here to tell you straight up about what will happen to you. You'll make a full recovery, them you will be place under arrest for possession of illegal firearms, tresspassing, and let's not forget, assault on an officer." His eyes narrowed on the brute. "Along with anything else we find out in our investigation. You with me so far?"

"Sure, sure." The brute smiled and leaned back. "I'll probably be in jail the rest of my life if I don't get the death penalty." He didn't seem to mind this idea so much. "You mind if I go back to my book? Or do you want to intimidate me some more?"

Miles, now dressed and ready to leave, loomed over the desk angrily.
"I had a cell phone, now I want to know where it is." He said with a slight growl to his tone.
"I'm sorry, sir. We returned everything you had on your person when you were brought in."
"No, you didn't or I would have my cellphone." He argued.
"Perhaps the officer who brought you might know where it is."
"Officer?" Miles stood upright. "What officer?"
"A detective Draco I think he said his names was."
"Detective..." Miles pinched the bridge of his nose. "Is that all?"
"Yes, sir."
"Are you sure? There wasn't a guy with spiky black hair with him?"
"No, sir. Just the detective."
"Hmmm." Miles growled softly. "Well where is the detective?"
"He's in room 206." She pointed.

Amun had followed Draco, but had fallen asleep shortly after parking. He hadn't slept for over forty-two hours, thanks to a annoyingly stupid new prosecuter he had been assigned to aide. When he woke up ten minutes later, he didn't notice the wet puddle on the drivers seat. A very yellow puddle.

Aser strode down some corridors, heading for Edgeworth's room. He bumped into a cravat wearing m... Hey, wait. "You aren't to leave the hospital, despite of recovery, Edgeberk."

Edgeworth did his best to recall who this man was and why he felt the need to reprimand him, but he couldn't get much more than a blur of words and faces.
"I can take care of myself, thank you." Miles said darkly. He ignored the mispronunciation of his name and just assumed the man had heard it being used at some point before and didn't quite remember it. "Excuse me." He muttered and continued on his way to room 206.

Aser stepped aside, but followed Edgeworth. He waited until they were outside the brute's room. "In case your wondering, Edgeberk, I am Prosecutor Aser Amun, and the detective is Barley Dragon, or something. You've been drugged, apparentely." He walked into the room, walking up to the bed. "Mr. Edeberk wishes to speak with you."

Miles thought about thanking the prosecutor for stating the obvious, but he wasn't really in the mood to acknowledge the man's existence.
"I only want to know where my cellphone is. Then I'd like to be on my way." He grumbled. "Unless, of course, I'm needed for something."

"Wow, these are good noodles." Nick smiled and stuffed his mouth with the last bits of his noodle and meat. Afterward he drank the broth.

Aser turned on his heels. "I have no sensible idea abou were your cell phone is, Edgeberk. However, you are needed for questioning. And it isn't about your wife problems, don't worry. She's a dimwitted lying slut, though. Oops. Badmouthed your wife. Oh well." Aser coughed twice, then scratched his right forearm with his left hand.

Miles didn't even acknowledge the prosecutor had spoken and kept his focus on the detective.

"It is?" Phoenix peered out of the window as if he'd be able to see it from there. "I hadn't really been paying attention to where we were going when we came over here." He admitted. "Hey, I wonder if we can catch a movie be-" Miles' cellphone rang. Nick sighed and answered it. "Hello?" He put on a polite smile even though the person on the phone wouldn't be able to see it. "No, sir. He's not here." Nick looked up at the ceiling. "Yes, sir, we did." He futzed through his pockets until he found the postcard. He didn't really recall getting it from Mia, but he had it now. "Why did you say it was a car title?" Nick smirked. "No, sir. I guess he wouldn't have if you'd said it was a raunchy post card." Nick nodded. "Yes, sir, Mr. Edgeworth. I'll tell him. Bye, sir." He hung up and flicked the postcard over to Mia. "Mr. Edgeworth says it's the address to the mental hospital that some woman named Angela Beluciano is admitted to."

Mia started at the name "Beluciano". "Did he give you any more details?...Nevermind you probably would have told me if you had. She's got to be connected with this somehow. Phoenix, could you...not mention this to Miles? Considering what's happened, it's probably prudent to keep him away from this."

"I've no intention of talking to him for a while." Nick replied with a sigh. "But I guess we should at least look into it for him. That way when he finds out on his own he won't kill me." He got up. "We should head out now if we're going to go. It's about an hour from here."

"Head injury." His hand instinctively went up to touch the stitches. "Oh right." He had to stuff his hands into the pockets to keep him from fiddling with them too much. "No, we'd better go now. The longer we wait the more likely something else bad is going to happen. Like this woman being dead by the time we get there."

"Well I'm not going to let you go by yourself. It's too dangerous." Nick argued. "What difference would there be between now and tomorrow anyway? I'm still going to have stitches in my skull." He added, let out a frustrated breath, and pinched the bridge of his nose in the same fashion as Miles. "Let me put this another way. I am going to check this woman out before the day is over. If you're coming with me, then great. You'd be more useful than me anyway. If you're not then I'll have to find someone else to help me."
