Turnabout May Cry
Trucy drags Apollo to an occult convention. In due time an excorcist is accused of killing the journalist who ruined her father's reputation. Apollo takes the case and, with some help from a special guest star witness, exposes the journalist's greedy partner as the true culprit. At the same time, Appollo also manages to prove the exorcist's father was not a fraud.

Anyway, aside from all that, I think a good twist case would be one where you play as Kristoph, successfully defending himself in a case where he actually did commit the murder (basically, what the Redd White case would have been if Phoenix actually had murdered Mia.) Granted, this is more of a fan case than one they'd actually include, but damn it'd be cool.
As for the first case, the big twist: one of the other young attorneys from the Gavin Law Offices goes to work for Apollo, and Polly guides him through that case. (Then you tie it into the plot by having Polly's protege killed, and then start hunting for the murderer. That way it gets to be Apollo's game again, but you have a reason to explain how everything works.) And the other shock: Payne in PURPLE!

There is a story behind that devil scar Kristoph has. It will be a taint in the history of the brothers Gavin. Klavier has a dark history behind him and possibly knew his brother was always rotten to the core which was more than likely why he took up prosecuting. The scar will be further developed and explained. Kristoph may be behind bars, but they won't stop him from trying to get revenge on Phoenix. He's not done in this story yet. He's probably a lot more evil than we think he is and Klavier knows this all too well, I'm sure.
Dick Gumshoe may return. He could be a defendant. He might even be the new Chief of Police, but that's likely not to happen. That could lead to him following Apollo around as lead cop and thus taking spotlights away from Ema, one of the better defined characters from AJ: AA. Personally I think he should be a private eye. That occupation has loads of potential for him being not only a good recurring confidant, but introduce back in the story as a defendant.
Miles Edgeworth or Franciska von Karma could be the chief prosecutor. Perhaps bring them in as such. I would say the best time would be at the climax of either the second or third game. The new chief prosecutor can be a wealth of information on Klavier's past and more details as to why he became a prosecutor.
Godot was finely resolved in T&T. He should make no more appearances. He was probably one of the best characters and trying to capitalize on his popularity would just make him worse. He has gone the full circle in one game. He doesn't need another lap.
A Steel Samurai case. Will Powers maybe a director now? He'll probably at least be a witness.
As much as I enjoyed Klavier, a new prosecutor is in order. I hope this time there's more character in him/her rather than a gimmick or a motif.
I didn't like him as a character, but Maxmillion Galactica would fit right in somewhere in between the whole Trucy Wright storyline. Perhaps he can give some insight about the Gramarye family line. Maybe even go into more depth about Apollo's real father.
Vera Misham's role in this story isn't done. They left her story with some loose ends for a reason. For instance: Who tried to kidnap her? Who is her mother? Maybe Larry Butz will take her under his wing?
Brushel will be the new Lotta Hart. He's gonna make plenty more appearances, I'm sure.

Now argument agains this is that the characters are more realistic. Well, can't we have interesting characters that change majorly in some way, and still relate to someone you know?
Well, that's what I take from the game finally, please consider everything I said and remember that it will not change, no matter how much I play it.
Here me out on this one.
Apollo is great, he's fine, I took a personality test and I match him 100%.
Trucy...ehh...well she's ok.
Of course I want Phoenix to take the bar again. This Hobophoenix crap has got to go in my opinion.
Klavier-sure why not, he is unique, but I barely know him, or maybe the game does not tell me more about his daily life, or maybe, he just is not that interesting to me.
Kristoph...bleh. Maybe one case with him, or at least give me some background to get interested.
Other characters in the game-bring back a few, maybe Wocky or something like that, other than that give them the cut and then the bum rush.
Back in Phonix Wright, there were many characters that I did not like, but MOST of them were interesting enough to come back for more. An example-Godot, now he really gets on my nerves everytime I play it, but I found out what makes him i tick, and it struck me as fairly intersting.

Yea there was very little development for any of the defendants. One common thing I've noticed is that each defendant was not with clean hands. There was always something to make them partially guilty. It sorta felt, empty in the end of it.

To be fair, that does make it a little realistic. Wouldn't it be kind of upsetting to constantly have completely innocent people on trial?
That's part of what makes it take longer to finish trials. What I'd like to see is more of a defendant that at some points, you actually think he/she really did do it, but in truth is still innocent. Like almost going Engarde, but not quite.
