Obviously, it's, like Maya, the Watson role - having someone to talk to is good, because it makes the text less stuck in one character's head. Plus, it can serve for plot devices, humour, and possibly criticism on what you do.

Just because this is NGNS doesn't mean it doesn't have trials. It just means the title of the game isn't Gyakuten Saiban, and it's not, it's Gyakuten Kenji. But, who knows? Maybe it won't have trials.

Seriously, if this is true...it's perfect. A spin-off game where you play as the prosecution. I always thought that the AA series was heavily biased against the prosecution. This fixes everything in an epic way.
I can only dream that the game takes place in the seven years between T&T and AA4. Maybe as Edgeworth, you deliver the only 3 (or 4) defeats to Kristoph Gavin's record and we get more backstory on the Gavins, where Edgeworth was during AJ, and maybe even what happened to Lana (a former prosecutor herself).

I like the fact that it's a new game that focuses on the investigating rather than the trial. That, and the fact that it has Edgeworth and Gumshoe. Bit of bad luck that, from the looks of it, there's no English version. But that's what waiting patiently is for, right?

My second thought, after seeing the pictures: "Uh....what...the fuck?"
I'm honestly not sure how I should react. XD I mean...hm. Well, even if it does focus more on investigation than actually being in the court room, does that mean that these new gameplay features will be added to GS5? Or, will GS5 remain the same as always as far as gamelplay goes? That's my most interesting problem. But, here's to hoping that there's either an English language option or it gets to America quick. I'm a gonna play it. <3
The map thing = WIN. I kinda hope we see either Phoenix or Apollo....more Phoenix, I think.

I love Edgeworth, but I can't see how this game is going to work. Trials are likely to be a lot less fun if the defendant is always the guilty party, since the main challenge was trying to find the real guilty party. On the other hand, if they try and make it so you are prosecuting an innocent person and still have to find the criminal, then there's really no point at all, since you'd just be playing the same way as the games with the defense attorneys.O_O
