The ladder wasn't directly underneath the corpse. It had appeared to be moved. Probably to avoid suspicion. It only makes sense.

Sonde Hidan, Von Karma's new assistant, was running, and rushing towards the crime scene"oh man! i'm so late! i need to hurry!" he had papers and other things in his arms as well, it took him at least ten minutes before he got there...ok twenty, he got lost, but he got there non the less! he was panting heavily, showing the cops his badge to let him in, he was in front of Von Karma, still breathing heavily"Son....Sonde Hidan...at your service...Von Karma..."Sonde was trying to get his breath back, he was also hoping that Von Karma wouldn't be mad that he was late

A firefox kit entered the shop. It started snuffing around until it made it's way to Mira, when it started barking at the body. It growled a bit, then walked up to Haley, which it then (somehow) took out a note and gave it to Haley. This is a legal document stating that I have Mira's power of attorney, which I will use to help you with this case. It told Haley.

A day passed. The investigators finished investigating the crime scene. The doctors finished the autopsy report. They concluded that David Devries was guilty if the crime. That will be decided today.

"Court is now in session!" The judge said, as he banged his gavel.
