But I got the series on DVD a little while back. And the series is win. Mal was my favourite character from the first episode. The moment he diffused their little hostage situation by shooting the guy in the face was probably what clinched it.

Firefly ate my attention when it came out, and me and all my friends dragged everyone out to the midnight showing of Serenity. We were all in the back, about three rows deep, and there was a thundering shorus of "Damn you, Whedon!" when...
