Since I've advertised Hero in at least the first two posts here, I decided to make a topic so I'd stop doing that. This is a topic for any asian drama, but I'm starting with Hero.
----------------------------------------------------------
I'm really surprised there isn't a topic (I looked through only the first five pages so maybe there is) on Hero. (See why as you read on) First of all, I'm not talking about Heroes, that one American show. I've never even seen a commercial for that. Now watch the underlined segments:

Anyway, Hero's screenwriter is Tadashi Agi, known for being the author (not mangaka) of popular works like GetBackers, Kindaichi Case Files and Shibatora (okay, chances are you haven't heard of the last one.). Basically, Hero is about public prosecutor Kuryu Kohei and his coworkers. Kuryu dresses casually and ignores standard procedures (because that would be boring), acting more like an investigator than a prosecutor.

It's reminiscent of PW, though I'm not sure if it's in my head. Sure Kuryu has an assistant, does investigative work, and comes up with weird ways of getting evidence (ex. watching some guy's recorded anime tape who-knows-how-many times to prove it couldn't have been prerecorded - thus creating an alibi), but you may have to squint if you're not me.

I watched the original GTO drama series, and the Densha Otoko drama. I cried a bit in emotion on each one. =p
If videogames make murderers, then guns kill people and spoons made Rosie O'Donnell fat.

I've read a bit of GTO, but I haven't gotten around to watching anything related to it yet.

The dramas I've seen that are based off mangas are the Death Note movies and Liar Game. I'm planning to watch the Shibatora one when it comes out in July. =P

I use to see this Korean drama called "WINTER SONATA" when I was a sophomore.

An incredible drama. I love it until the last episode. I kind of wish AZN channel was back...they another showed Korean drama titled "COFFEE PRINCE". As for Japanese Dramas...I use to see a couple long time ago around that NHK channel.

- Densha Otoko (highly recommended)
- First Kiss
- Galileo (recommended)
- Hanazakari no Kimitachi e
- Hana Yori Dango (highly recommended..if you're into that type of stuff)
- Hana Yori Dango 2 (seconded)
- Hotelier (Japanese remake)
- Iryu: Team Medical Dragon (highly recommended, especially if you love Trauma Center or House MD)
- Liar Game
- LIFE (highly recommended)
- Proposal Daisakusen (recommended)
- Seito Shokun! (highly recommended)
- Shichinin no Onna Bengoshi
- Tantei Gakuen Q (recommended)

I've seen more, but these are the ones I can remember and somewhat/highly recommend.

P.S.- I find it funny that the Japanese looove Winter Sonata, but Koreans don't enjoy it as nearly as much.

1 Litre of Tears - A real tear jerker. Half the time I was watching it, I was crying.
Hanazakari Kimi Tachi E - I was laughing through out the series. Ikuta Toma <3
Coffee Prince - I like the story of this show better than Hanazakari Kimi Tachi E. The only advantage of HanaKimi was that they had more handsome men in the cast.
Full House - crazy XDDD

I've only seen Gokusen. IT'S FANTASTIC! (Except season 2) I'm enjoying Season 3 now. (WAY better then season 2).

I bawled like a baby watching this show. And Hiroki Narimiya rocks!! :D

Oh, and I saw the Nana movie. I fell inlove with it. Reminds me of me and my friend Leah. We're THAT close. :3
