I just finished JFA (I own all the other ones, but I never found this one in any stores for some reason, so I borrowed it from a friend) and its not the greatest of them all, and in fact it is my least favorite. I'm not saying that it wasn't good, which it actually was, it just wasn't up to par with the others. I really hated when they said who the culprit was right before the final trial; that really pissed me off. the best part of the whole game though, which kept it from being a bad PW game, was the last turnabout. That. Was. Amazing. I just cant get enough of it and AUGHHHHHHH...

Well anyway yeah... what were your thoughts on the game?

Well I think JFA was Ok GREAT. Farewell, my Turnabout was simply AMAZING! THAT WAS THE MOST AWESOMEST (if that's even a word) EVEERR <3. BEST. CASE. EVER. :O lol (lol ok im dont screaming about 2-4)

Spoiler: 2-1
This case was too obvious...o-o; but it wasnt a bad tutorial game and the creators did a really good job recapping what to do for those who didn't play the first game. :] The characters in this case wasn't that bad. Wellington was entertaining for me ;D lol @ his secret love of bananas ;D 8/10

Spoiler: 2-2
This case was confusing for me @_@; but it's still a great case :D 2nd best case in JFA, coming second to 2-4 of cuz :D Too bad we didn't get to see Morgan break down on the stand T^T; Ini was kinda annoying to me though...too many "likes" ugh >-<; Although I say "like" a lot too...but NOT THAT MUCH!! (lol ok im going off topic here) 9/10

Spoiler: 2-3
This case was alright but a bit annoying to play for me. The investigation phrases dragged on 'cause I wasn't really interested in what happened I guess...Ben and Trilo was annoying (why the heck is he abusing himself with a puppet?!) I thought Moe, on the other hand, was OK. He showed his mature side towards the end of the trail. Bat was a cute character (even though we didn't even get to interact with him...xD) 8/10

Spoiler: 2-4
Do I even need to say it? This was the best case out of the whole series (imo of cuz xD) A lot of amazing plot twists :D and gotta love the evidence of Nick x Maya provided by this case xD...and oh man, that card in the end made my heart all warm and fuzzy <3...too bad Phoenix didn't get to see it D: This case also show that defense lawyers, prosecutors, and detectives can work together for one common goal, to save Maya and get Matt "guilty". :D 11/10

This was actually my first ace attorney game. I enjoyed it.
I think this game had the best soundtrack (out of the phoenix games.)
Spoiler: 2-1
I dont like it when they reveal the killer before the case even starts. Wellington was annoying. Phoenix with amnesia was funny tho.

Spoiler: 2-2
This one was pretty interesting. I liked this one because you think its a ghost, but its not (well I did). Not to mention Mia's boobs looked like they were about to just pop out of Pearl's clothes LOL

Spoiler: 2-3
IT IRRITATED THE HELL OUTTA ME

Spoiler: 2-4
This one had me on edge the whole time. with maya being kidnapped and trying to find the killer, tracking down the assassin. And then the huge twist at the end. And again with Mia in Pearl's clothes.

I basically thought the same about the game

Spoiler: 2-1
I do agree it was a good intro, and wasnt too bad. I do enjoy Maggie and I hope her relationship with Gumshoe shows, hopefully in GS5

Spoiler: 2-2
I found this to be meh... Mimi bothered the hell out of me when she said "like" all the time

Spoiler: 2-3
This one was ewww for me. I found it to be a waste of time to play unfortunately. All the characters bothered the hell out of me.

and dont even get me started on the greatness of Farewell, My Turnabout. Simply Amazing.

Same here, brother.

As for the cases, I say that each one was better than the previous, which means I quite enjoyed it and I wasn't at all disappointed with the game.

JFA was good, almost better than T&T. I've played JFA a LOT more times than T&T. It's more fun for some strange reason.
I don't feel like I want to play T&T over again, except for the last case.
Don't have any good signs..

Who knows.

Actually I played JFA first, so I might be biased, but it was my favorite AA game...

In the first case Winston bugged me more than Wellington did. XD

Case 2 was pretty good, although when you got about half way through it was kind of obvious who the killer was. It was still an interesting case though, and it introduced Pearl.

I admit 2-3 was kind of weak but for some reason, it was my second-favorite case in the game... It had a bit of good background for Fran and Edgey and also, I liked Max. (Regina started getting a bit annoying though.)

And 2-4 was epic. If I say more the post will end up huge because of how much I love it, so I will leave it at that. XD

I have many yaoi OTPs which overlap... And most of which involve the Gavins.
I do write/support yuri and het from time to time though.

2-1: Payne was great and so were Wellington and Maggey. A huge improvement on 1-1.

2-2: This case was alright I thought. It had a good mix of high points (anything that involves Morgan, Ini, Hotti) and low points (Pearl and Lotta) and the ending was quite amusing ( :ka-whip: *whip* *whip*).

2-3: This is the worse case in JFA I tought. Moe and Max were alright, everyone else just got on my nerves.

2-4: This is, my favourite case (even though Pearl is f***ing annoying). The best part is at the end (if you choose the 'good' ending) and De Killer's testimony offers several of the best quotes of the game. Overall, this case was really epic (something that 4-4 fails to live up to).

They did that in the first PW too.

At least for Sawhit and Redd. They just showed random videos for the other three.

I actually enjoyed 4-4, it was good. Definately not as good as this one, but still good. It brought together all the other turnabouts and made it into an orchestra of a piece. But still, not as good as this one.

I enjoyed JFA a lot. I really don't have a "favorite" PW game.
Spoiler: 2-1
Better than 1-1, imo. I found Wellington amusing, and the "Mr. Wellington loves large bananas!" comment had me giggling like a maniac. Besides, I like Payne... Whaddya mean "that's odd"?

Spoiler: 2-2
I'll be honest, I found it kind of confusing. And I couldn't stand Ini's constant "Likes". It also needed a psychotic breakdown from Morgan.

Spoiler: 2-3
ARGH! I wanted to strangle multiple characters in this case! I didn't mind Max, and I laughed when he called Phoenix his "sweetie". However, Moe, Ben, Trilo, and Regina all got on my nerves. Though Moe wasn't as bad at the very end when he starts acting a little more serious. This case was worth playing to me for two reasons. The first is that you finally get some answers about what happened to Edgeworth (from Franziska). Throughout 2-2 and the first part of 2-3, Phoenix started acting all emo whenever Edgeworth was mentioned. And the second reason, was of course, the very end of 2-3, with the scene at the airport. The psycho fangirl in me was so happy. (Though I wasn't as much of a fangirl then as I am now.)

Spoiler: 2-4
This is one of my favorite cases, if not my favorite. I'll stop now, since I could go on for hours about why I loved it. The very end of this case was amazing, too. I'll admit, I shed a few tears. (Though the beginning of 2-4 was a little on the slow side.)

I was also fond of the soundtrack. Sure, some of the tracks are annoying, but there's a few tracks I don't like in every AA game.

I actually bought JFA with a set. I never had any intention of playing it because I wanted to see Godot at all costs. I'm pretty glad I played it, in the end.

Spoiler: Case 2-1
It was pretty creative for a tutorial game. I think we found out who it was early on on purpose, though. (We kinda figure out who kills who around halfway through the trial, anyway.)
Wellington+ Large Bananas= one of the biggest fanclubs on CR. Righteous.

Spoiler: Case 2-2
Mixed feelings. The case had one of the biggest plot twists I've seen (plastic surgery to look like your dead sister?! OMG!), and it really comes back to bite ya in the butt in GS3, but God... The "likes", the "likes"! And the lack of epic Morgan breakdown didn't help, either...

Spoiler: Case 2-3
Annoying at first, especially Regina, but I liked it in the end. Mature Moe= REDEMPTION!

Spoiler: Case 2-4
BEST. CASE. EVAR. Evil Matt, Adrian's secret, De Killer... All of it FTW!

Spoiler: 2-1
In case you didn't notice they did the same thing in 1-1. They told you Sahwit was the killer. Hell in 1-2 they even showed you Redd White was the killer. They stopped that afterwards though. But in 2-1 if you played the game then you know how it is. Defendant is innocent, witness is guilty. Case closed XD

Spoiler: 2-2
One of my favorite cases. A lot of people got annoyed by Ini/Mimi and her 'likes' but I didn't mind it. Let me remind you Mimi was playing the part of her sister after all. She didn't have to say like, she just did to make it more convincing. Epic plot twist too.

Spoiler: 2-3
While investigation scenes dragged on I did like this case. The characters are stylish and unique. Plus it gives you a darker side to the colorful, fun circus that everyone sees whenever they go to a circus show. Not everyone is sunshine, rainbows and stars.

Spoiler: 2-4
One of the best cases ever. Seriously it was epic. The defendant was actually guilty for once (although I thought it was obvious, because why else would an assassin kidnapper tell you to defend someone and get them innocent? If they are innocent then why would a kidnapper need to tell you that DX?)

My own views:

Spoiler: 2-1
I thought 2-1 was pretty average. Sure it has Maggey as your legal aide for the first part, and Wellington, but as with most of the JFA cases, the Judge came off as a little crabby to me. Also, Phoenix the amnesiac was pretty fun as well. Score: 7.25/10

Spoiler:
As for 2-2, I didn't like it as much as some other people did. No, it had nothing to do with Mimi and the "likes," (I didn't mind them actually) but it seemed a little dull at points. Not to mention those infamous plot holes to go right along with that plot twist. Also, Search-Opening 2002 + Mimi doing her dance = DO NOT WANT/annoying. Score: 7.5/10

Spoiler: 2-3
2-3. Dear God, where do I start with that case. I actually liked Regina, even though every JFA case had an airhead, and Max, and Moe was alright. However, I hated the concept of the case. Not to mention that the investigations dragged ON and ON with nothing fun in it. I really hated this case, and it's even worse than 1-1, IMO. Score: 5/10

Spoiler: 2-4
And then there's 2-4. The shining light of JFA. This case was absolutely epic and was either my second or third (depending on whether you count 3-4 and 3-5 as one case or not) case in the series. Search in the Midst 2002 was win, as wass de Killer's theme, and the Great Revivals. Also, it introduced me to my favorite character in the whole series: Adrian Andrews, even if she's possibly lesbian. Score: 9.75/10

I always found this amnesia thing stupid. Also how does the victim write with broken neck? This should have been the first contradiction! Also the baseball glove thing was hard to guess since I'm not into baseball (I live in Europe). But it had some great jokes. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it was the least good of all cases in AA1-3 (I haven't played AJ yet).
6/10

Spoiler: 2-2
2-2
Absolutely great! And what proves it better than the fact that I actually wrote a short story inspired by this case. Yeah, I like writing stuff... Anyway, it introduced my 3rd favourite character, Pearl, and being a Phoenix x Maya fan, it's not hard to see why I love this one. Side note: I didn't feel bad about Mimi at all.
9/10

Spoiler: 2-3
2-3
Tied with 1-5 it's the most tedious, confusing and annoying case. Oh God I hate Trilo! Moe was also annoying. And generally the case was hard, it's easy to get stuck during investigation and sometimes it's hard to tell what should be presented. But the killer was good, and there were many great jokes, mostly with Franny. Not a bad one, but one of my least favourites.
7/10

Spoiler: 2-4
2-4
My second favourite one, after 3-5. Pure A-W-E-S-O-M-E-N-E-S-S! Do I even need to explain? It was so exciting I skipped sleeping when I played the second trial. Literally, I couldn't sleep until Maya was safe, the case was solved and the miracle happen. Lol!

1. Gosh Maggey annoyed me. MAN. D:
2. I liked the animations when :knock-knock: flipped out and showed her evilness.
3. I actually stopped playing for 3 months because Moe annoyed the heck outta me and I could tell the case was gonna drag on and on.
4. Like everyone here, LOVED IT! Played through it the 1st time in a 8 hour session straight. I loved Matt's character and just talking about it is bringing a rush of nostalgia of how much I geeked out over it. AAH god.
While I dont have a liking for Ms. Andrews like much of the community here (In fact I can't stand her), this case was just sooo coooolll!!

Okay, my thoughts.

Spoiler: 2-1
This case was pretty bad, but better than the tutorial in AA. Wellington was funny, Maggey was irritating, the amnesia was a pretty lame excuse to tell the player all the... stuff. 3/5

Spoiler: 2-2
Awesome! One of the best cases in the whole series. Mimi was hillarious and her backstory was great. Morgan was annoying, but then it seems to be Capcom law you've got to have one character like that in each case. Hotti was so, so funny and Maya was brilliant. 4 and a half/5

Spoiler: 2-3
NO. Just, no. Worst Case In The History Of PW. Need I go on? Not worth rating.

Spoiler: 2-4
I was so releived to have a freakin amazing case to help me recover from Turnabout Big Fail. It's been said before, but I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through. So dramatic, and all the characters were brilliant. Capcom's law still applies to Lotta, even though I love her! 5/5

oh well, I guess I'll pit my thoughts in as well.

Spoiler: 2-1
Probably one of the most entertaining cases in the series, grilling Gumshoe, Payne on top form, Wellington, only thing I didn't understand and therefore like was the massive plot holes revolving when Wellington was able to kill Dustin.

Spoiler: 2-2
Not bad either, Grey was a great character, and it was a benefit that I really liked search-opening, the music seemed to suit both Grey and Ini in different ways somehow, the mystic music was annoying though, although you could see the plot twist a mile off I thought it wrapped up quite nicely.

Spoiler: 2-3
I did enjoy this one, but I would agree the investigations dragged on a bit, Regina was the only character I really disliked, Ben and Trilo were good in court but had a lack of dialogue in the investigations and the fact they were to lazy to give him any reactions to presenting annoyed me. Court was good and the case probably had the most jokes and references in the game which is always a plus, not the worst case in the series I can think of at least 2 that are worse

Spoiler: 2-4
although it was clear that Maya would escape alive, I still found the case thrilling, and as I hadn't spoiled myself I believed that Engarde was innocent until all those locks came up, the new search-core that played when he revealed his true self was great, it's a shame that it was used so much in T &T often for no good reason, a great case and probably my favourite in the whole series, I didn't find 3-5 as good

The first case was okay - nothing too special, a nice tutorial. 2-2 was cute, I loved Ini's animations but dear God, the music in the channeling chamber ANNOYED THE HELL OUT OF ME. I couldn't stand it and then it became Morgan's theme music ugh.

There's so much hate for 2-3! I, personally, loved it! It's not my favorite case, but definetely high up on the list. I found the circus music to be amazing and I remember having my DS next to me playing the Big Top music while ironing. :pearl:

The fourth case...I didn't like it. None of the characters striked me as amazing and Shelly annoyed me, too. I had to force myself to keep playing. :sadshoe:

Why? Why do you hate my Adrian? :adrian:

I dont like weak characters or those that are dependent on others. A similar character i dislike is Hinata from Naruto.
Adrian switches back too often from panicky to collected and I got annoyed after a while.

:sadshoe:

Spoiler: The Lost Turnabout
Possibly my favourite tutorial case. Although, as JFA was my first game, this was the first case I ever played... Not too easy, not too hard, not too complicated. Winston Payne is awesome in this, not the barely there version in AA1. It would have been nice not for the killer to appear at the beginning with a clue as to the case, and we would have no idea until the second part. While it did seem to drag on a bit, I pretty much like this one.

Spoiler: Reunion, and Turnabout
This was a bit too confusing. One of the things you're meant to say at the end of Trial Day One didn't make much sense to me. It was nice to see the von Karma, and Hotti was pretty fun to show profiles to. The channeling story was complicated in a way that I l liked it, but the fact Lotta tells you who the murderer is and the fact that there are too many plot holes ruined it for me. I also saw Ini = Mimi coming.

Spoiler: Turnabout Big Top
I wanted to hit the investigations and Moe with a statue-clock two times, put them on a sharp fence, stab them with a broken spear, shoot them, throw them in a lake with a fake sea monster in it, stab them twice, push them off an upper area in a park, stab them, shoot them at point blank, throw a trophy on them, strangle and pretend to stab them, electrocute them, poison their coffee, hit them with a random desk object, poison their coffee again, stab them, hit them with an indestructible grape juice bottle, shoot them in the RIGHT temple (god I figured out that case before Apollo could even investigate the second time) shoot them, poison their stamp, shoot them in a airtight elevator, throw them on a fence again, make some suit of armour stab them, make them crash their car, gat a lion to bite them, rape them, make them hang theirselves, and not shoot them. That's all I have to say.

Spoiler: Farewell, My Turnabout
I would say this is awesome, but I typed too much out with TBT.

I'll weigh in on this too. 8D

Spoiler: 2-1
werjgifhketjddikfjgd kind of my favorite case ever. Maggey was adorable, Richard was smoking hot and I wanted to bend him over the witness stand and fuck him with a strapon. Also, the little jab at Richard's sexuality. TRUFAX THAT'S WHAT IT WAS ; ; Also Dustin was pretty hot too even though he died.

Spoiler: 2-2
OMG INI. <3 I love Ini. 8D I liked the little twist, as well as Mimi's little moments of snapping into her real self. Morgan creeped me out, I wanted to beat her with a stick.

Spoiler: 2-3
I actually liked this case, even if it was full of BAWWWWWWWW moments D: Like Acro. POOR ACRO. ; ; If he hadn't been a cripple he could have seen who it was he was killing. Also Bat. WHY BAT WHY ; ; Also, if Regina wasn't such a dip, this whole case wouldn't have happened D: But I still liked it.

Spoiler: 2-4
It was too long and tedious for me. :/ I hated it. The only things I liked were Juan Corrida and the bits about Celeste/Adrian. Oh, and Shoe. Gotta have Shoe. 8D

2-3 was boring as hell (I...struggled to get through it, with AMAZING CHARACTERS such as BEN AND FUCKING TRILO) but the final case more than made up for it; best case of the series by far.

Spoiler: 2-4..obviously
I love how all the silly spirit medium stuff was kept to a minimum (although SUPERMIACHANNELING is always inevitable and the defendant really WAS guilty instead of MIASAIDBELIEVEINYOURCLIENTSOTHEYREOBVIOUSLYINNOCENT HEH. Really, the case was actually BELIEVABLE. Except for the Jammin' Ninja part, that just made me go WHATTHEHELL

I've never really understood the 2-3 hate. I admit it does have some pretty annoying moments and the first day of court is pretty "meh", but I think it ends up being one of the best cases in the entire series. Definitely in the top 5, at least.

Me too:

Spoiler: 2-1
It was OK, nothing great really, too obivous. Though it was pretty funny and great starter but meh. 7.5/10

Spoiler: 2-2
This was a lot better. Good characters and good plot. I thought it was great at exploring Fey's. 9/10

Spoiler: 2-3
I don't hate it, but I don't like it too much eiher. Well it was pretty good plot, but some of the charaters were too annoying. 7.5/10

Spoiler: 2-4
GREATNESS. This was some intense stuff. Just too much to describe, everybody needs to play this, it was amazing! 10/10

Hey, it's Payne. Just a Payne case with 2 funny animations, and one good joke besides. Amnesia was a stretch.

Spoiler: 2-2
This was pretty cool. The new psyche-locks and health bar really were cool. There were some pretty cool moments, like when you figure out it's Mimi Miney (or whichever, I forget). Actually, that would have been much cooler if I had actually gotten it RIGHT. I get alot of those big moments wrong.

My brother said that 2-3 was so bad I shouldn't play it. So I didn't.
Spoiler: 2-4
I guess I'm kind of biased against this case. I mean, I was pretty frustrated by the end [I was stuck on the bears for 2 hours, Oldbag's lock for 3 hours, and 2nd day of court for 3 hours. Grr.]

Eh... It was okay. We get introduced to Maggey... Not bad, not great. 2 outta 5

Spoiler: 2-2
It's a good case, but the answers were pretty obvious to me. I knew Ini was the killer, and as soon as she freaked out about the car, I knew she was Mimi.

Spoiler: 2-3
I really enjoyed 2-3, despite what people say. It was puzzling, original, and the characters were awesome. Only real disappointment in 2-3 was that ACRO'S FREAKOUT SUCKS.

Spoiler: 2-4
What can I say abou this case that hasn't already been said? I felt just like Phoenix through the whole thing. If I would put down my DS I would HAVE to pick it up and see what was going to happen.

You still need to play 2-3, though. It does have it's moments, and you might like it!
